  • Cute little birds :)

Wish something like that lived where I did. Though the birds here fly in groups and that always looks cool.

  • Dinosaurs are *much* cooler now, than they used to be back in the day ... the question now is ... how long will it take for creationists to evolve!?!?!?

  • Aw such cute little dinosaurs =D I'm sad to see that you haven't had many videos up as of late. I remember there was a time where I couldnt always keep up with what you put up. Hope to see more of your work in the future.

  • cool dinasours

  • Fowl prefer a whole grain bread these days.

  • As always, you continue to rock. Keep the continuum arock.

  • Listening to that music is terrible.

    Those birds deserve this:

    (a true gluttony here)

  • Nice.

  • animals are so cute :P

  • I'm surprised that with all those tasty birds you didn't eat one.

now I've got bollywood on the brain

  • Sweet birds.

  • Cool.

Was that the birds doing the singing too?

Wow. Catch them and go on the road!

  • those birds are gunna get too fat to fly!!!

  • ahh, little baby birds, they walk around for about a week before learning to fly. great though, love em little dudes

  • All the birds in this video could fly. They are not baby birds. The pigeons act the same.. its all about lack of predators in the modern urban city.

  • I've seen birds like that with my own eyes. They're not babies, they're adults. Baby birds don't walk around at all, they stay in the nests. They're about teh size of a mouse.

  • they are . Small birds as such walk around for a week while they learn to fly. ask an expert. + baby birds are not as aware of human danger as adult ones, as for the pigeons they are a more domestocated bird, ie people breed them in coops etc, so they are less afraid too.

  • all these birds flew when spooked. None of them were flightless. None of them were babies. I personally watched all of them fly. I live in a city with very few predators that attack the birds and many friendly folks like me who feed them.

They walk about because it is less expensive biologically.

  • well looking at the footage and the time of year i asked a friend who is very knowledgable in this subject, he said they were fledglings who had recently left the nest . they look like hedge sparrows who are ground feeding birds learning to fly, yes they can fly but not greatly, you will notice them less as the year goes on. if it is the case that evolution is at work then birds would not fly at all, they would simply get better at running,

  • evolution would not make them better runners just based on what we have observed. That is a creationist leap. What it will do is ensure the ones who are less afraid and more willing to feed on the ground more likely to survive.

These birds will never truely become ground animals (in this enviroment) as there is no safe location to nest on the ground here.

Evolution is always happening. It is the affect of enviroment and natural selection on the alleles of a population.

  • part 2... birds like to fly and it is an important part of communication/ courting and social activities. i think you are taking this a bit far with little or no facts at hand, apart from what you can see outside the window

  • (1 of 2)

I live in southern california ... I'm at starbucks *alot* ... I recognize these birds. I've been feeding them for better than 10 years .... They *only* walk around on the patios ... when they leave the patio area ... they *fly* away

  • (2 of 2)

on the patio ... they're fed(by most people), they take food off into bushes(flying), then return. I'm certain it's the adults we've been feeding ... one time, a woman left to get a refill and these little vultures all jumped up on her table and attacked her food .... upon returning, she actually had to shoe them away ... not only are they not afraid ... they're bold now.

  • im glad you all know *so* much about it, typical darwinists , little or no knowledge with alot to say

  • This was cool. But I have to give you a shout-out for the vid you made with Decha. Friggin awesome. I can't stop laughing!

  • Good point Nadia! Walking uses less energy and the birds evolved to conserve that energy to put it where it best benefits them for survival!

  • Love it. And the Bollywood music is perfect for this.

  • Fun!

    Which youtube friends were there?

  • Ole'!

  • What is the name of the song? And what group is playing it?

  • Yeah, I loved the music also. You can always tell too when it's mulberry season around here, damn birds ;)

  • This is how we domesticated the wolf into a dog.

  • The birds know me now. They land right by me and demand food treats.

  • Actually nadia, it might have been more gratifying to see you DANCING to this music ;)

  • maybe in the next post? lol

  • and when all or nearly all predators have beeen exterminated, as in most of the usa, invasive species like sparrows invade! that's a freaky tune to play on a planet this small. feed the feral cats (a lead breakfast)!

  • I feed the cats over in Jackson square. The cats here are too lazy and few in number to do anything to the birds.

  • VERY cool, and great music. Good to see you're doing well, nadia :)

  • cool music

  • great tunes.

  • Word indeed!

  • Sweety, I love you but what on earth is that god damn music? I hate india and any indian shit and I have to deal with my fucking family and second largest indian community in the US.

  • sorry I'm a balliwood fan.

  • love the music!

  • You are helping to perpetuate a welfare state. :P

  • Me with the brain the size of a planet and all i see is sparrows!...God!

  • You are helping to perpetuate a welfare state. :P

  • lol
