This movie made me a different person.I watched it and it made me want to go outside so I made time everyday to do so and now its my favorite thing to do. And it also helped me find Arcade Fire which led me to some also great bands like Radiohead and stuff.Which made me strive to be a certain person because I wasnt happy with myself. I have since gone outside almost everyday and a HUGE fan of these awesome bands and built many forts. All started over a year ago. And to think it's just a movie...

i remember reading this book when i was in 1st grade back in 96' as soon as i heard they were making a movie based on it i went to go see it. i wanted to see this movie more for nostalgia and the good feeling i associated with it back when i was a kid. i loved the film and actually reread the book. I ddnt have to worry about work, school, student loans, relation ship problems . man i miss being a kid.

From what I understood from this movie was that each monster was a element of the kid's personality. Some where ugly and some were beautiful. And it was really about how these parts of his personality interacted with each other. So really the kid was going through a phase of self discovery by interacting with parts of his being. Brilliant.
