yeah, Asians really set martial arts years back with their bullshit. how much time, energy and talent was wasted on all that useless shit. entire careers down the drain because of Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.
These were the best UFC because it was real fights. Now so many rules and gloves. It protects the fighters but the winner now not all the time would have been the winner if the format was like the old UFCs. Now a fighter can come back and win after being dominated on the bottom. Back then, that same fighter would have been pulped and lost. I don't even order the UFCs anymore, just read the results after online. If it was like the old format, I would pay over $100 for pay per view.
style vs style arguments are irrelevant its the same as beating a dead horse styles will continue to evolve n refine itself along with the fighters just cuz u beat sumbody 10 years ago dun mean ur always gona beat that person
@persuasionguru8952 IT WAS MORE INTERESTING BUT THE STANDARD WAS CRAP apart from royce, only he had ever trained nhb style, the others ,even full conatct fighters and grapplers had never combined grappling and striking and nobody incorporated ground striking.
I don't believe in confroming to styles. The whole style debate is devoid of meaning when you conform. If a person wan'ts to be a good martial artist then they should always work on refining techniques & making them better. The only person you can make better in the martial arts is yourself. People say this about this and that. If your defeance is low it's because you haven't trained enough. It's an equal ball park everyone has the same chance at winning. So train hard to be the best.
MMA is Mixed Martial Arts meaning it is just a compilation of the world's martial arts used in a way to develop a more balanced approach to fighting. There would be no MMA without TMA and MMA is not a style in itself because there is no set cirriculum. They teach a lot of boxing and wrestling here in USA but they teach a lot of Judo and karate in Japan.

mma is not a style?
EHNZROCKSLUTS 2 years ago
@EHNZROCKSLUTS No, it's a set of rules. It's a mixed style contest, combining as many or as few martial arts as the practitioner wants.
