  • but can't other bidders see that they need to bid 300 or more to be the highest bidder?

  • that marker at the end was SO ANNOYING

  • thanks to this guy, bidding is now tooo easy!

  • His blackberry red light was flashing, how annoying

  • But some people, "automatically bid" somehow, cause whenever i placed a bid at the last minute i kept losing the bid and to the same person.. :/

  • @09sayem automatic bid means their max is higher than what your's is so ebay automatic bids for them. eg. i bid $300 on phone which is $150 right now, someone else bids $180, ebay automaticly bids because my max bid is higher.

  • everyone does this don't they?........ i thought this is the way everyone does it!

  • Sniping does work, some people still didnt get the memo and they are "early bidding" which only drives up the price of the item. Bid late, I would bid in the last 10 seconds. Also, NEVER BID WHOLE NUMBERS! ALWAYS BID WITH CENTS! If I want to bid $100.00, I will put down $100.89 or something, because that last 89 cents makes a huge difference. I have seen people lose bids by a penny..because their opponent put in a penny higher than them.

    GREAT TIPS CHRIS.

  • to be perfectly honest, i have never won a bid the straight way. i always had to snipe.

  • But....just to add to that: sniping doesnt always work because when people, stupid as they are, keep engaging in these pointless bid wars they might drive up the price beforehand to a point that is beyond your maximum bid. Like I wanted this one item badly and it started at 99 cents. A bunch of morons kept outbidding each other days in advance, driving the price to something ridiculous that went beyond my budget. So I didnt need to snipe.

  • Sniping is the best. I am really amazed at how stupid so many people are. I mean why bid on an item days and days in advance? all it does is just up the price for no good reason. AAAArrgghhhh

  • too much coffee

  • Thanks you relly helped me :)

  • I have simple way, first I will search the items, put the first bid and the put max bid with a odd number. for example 7.72 ... the sniper will thinking that he can with with bid 7.75 or 7.80. I will wait until the auction almost end. wait for 30sec ... and then I will add max bid with $5 ... so that when the snipper bid on 7.80 on the last sec ... he won't beat me.

  • I thought everyone did it this way.. thats why the last 2mins are hell.. snipers against snipers against snipers..

  • This was awesome, I had no clue that eBay takes the bid after yours so you're paying less but still winning using the max...if that makes any sense

  • damn i hope i aint in an action agenst u

  • left handed people <3

  • i just got sniped 10 minutes ago.

  • This is the best Biding video ever, thanks :) xx i have won like 100000 items now thanks to you!

  • wait if thats true at 3:38 y would u not bid something like 1000 at last second

any one know if that true

  • @TheBmpenn3 No, you wouldn't, because if someone else values the item more than you do, you might even end up paying that amount of money, or at least way more than you wanted to spend. If you're extremely wealthy or rich, that is indeed the way to do it.

  • i liked how you didn't use the website xD

  • nice megaman faggot

  • @lildeshi702 Go fetch your brain out from the gutter.

  • Seems like everyone would want to use this strategy; at the last moments of an auction, seems like there would just be a crush of last minute "snipers" and that winning would be a matter of luck. Why do people even bother bidding earlier?

  • New to ebay: How late is "late?" I didn't get why you would end up paying only $229 if your bid was 300? Thanks!

  • @falcoperegrinus82 : you only pay that if the other person's maximum bid is 228.50. If their maximum bid was 320, then they would win at 301 - because your max bid was 300. The point of sniping is not that you necessarily always win, it is about winning at the lowest cost available. If someone, woh placed a bid days in advance, has a higher max bid than you, it doesnt matter when you snipe: you will still lose.

  • @falcoperegrinus82 : also: Sniping is sort of like poker: you dont wanna show your hand (i.e. maximum bid) beforehand - all it will do is drive up the price - even if you do win the auction. You want to reveal your hand in the last 5 seconds, that way you dont give people a chance to drive the price up any further and you get the item at the best price. Again, if bids are too high though from the go, you actually mind end pu losing or even paying your max bid. It really depends on each item

  • irony; I'm trying to win the phone he has on ebay :L

  • so if a phone costs $100 and my final price is $150 and no one else bids higher then i buy the phone for $100?

  • @artilleryisbetter if someone else bidded $100 then that means youll be paying a dollar or 25cents extra

  • @artilleryisbetter Yes exactly that's the good thing about eBay.

  • how can i win a macbook at a cheap price

  • you sound like jim from the office

  • Awesome video, thanks man!

  • Cool

  • Thanks, this vid helped a lot. i kept trying buy something, and i couldnt. Once i saw this vid. I WON!!!

  • I am going to do this tonight!! I need to win it o-0

  • its simple do all 3 at once! bid you max at the last 3 secs! if someone else bids more then you haven't lost because you dont value the item more then wat you think it should be!

I HATE Earlie bidders argh why bump up the price for an item im just going to end up wining anyway?

  • @TimbocClock20 LMFAO omg yes i know. there is a keyboard online and its for .99cents and now its at $16.00

i could have saved myself some pocket change. if it wasnt for those newbs then we wouldnt be able to snipe now would we ;) thank god for those noobies

  • i have 10 minutes till my bid is over, so thanks :) i'll bid when it is at 30 seconds! i'll only have to pay £0.65 for an autograph!

  • @hmfrx If it's genuine.

  • u have crap handwriting! LOL

  • The Thing that sucks, whoever else is bidding is sure to be there and watching out too. so hes right about dont bid tell the end, but still whoever is the highest bidder at the time will probably for sure be at the computer like you will be. so its not as easy as it sounds. usualy only on things people wont be bidding that much on, but if its somthing good. youre fucked. you better have a fast computer and fast internet.

  • You can use a site like hidbid.com to automate your sniping. Regardless of when you bid however, you still have to have the highest bid to win.

  • when i first saw this video cover i was like "wth this cant be better than the ones with the video of the PCs, but goddam good job, best video yet

  • is this true ,that if you bid very high price and you win with say 300.and the second was 250,you would only have to pay 250?

  • I won my first try at an auction sniping w/o knowing what sniping was. Sadly the seller had to cancel ;_;

  • But doesn't this make people feel bad :(? LOL weird question but can't help my kind heart to kick in XD! Won't it feel bad that someone was so excite that they are winning something that they sooo want and are happy and relaxed till *DA DA DUMM* and sniper comes and wins the auction by a cent which makes the almost-auction-winner person angry, sad, defeated, depress, suicidal, serial killer.... erase that last two O.O you get the point :P lol

  • Yay I just won my SECOND auction using this method.

    THANKS SO MUCH!!

  • Yay I just won my first auction using this method. THANKS SO MUCH!!

  • i was a sniper once. but there's too much stress and sitting by the computer at the end of an auction hitting refresh like an idiot made me feel ike a jerk. also sniper against sniper never works.. now i just bid my max, let proxy biddiung take care of it. if i don't win i just keep hitting another auction till i get the thing i want at the price i want. odds are that there are only a few amount of customers for the same object. and there's a better chance you can get it for cheaper.

  • Really helpful, thanks heaps ;) Hoping to get my item in about an hour :D

  • thanks!

  • Cn you really win stuff for like a penny or a dollar ?? how do people make money off it ???? im mainly interested in fishing rods and reels

  • I'm 16 just started out on eBay to help my mom sell a few things and this was common sense to me. Should be to everyone.

  • My friends bro who is 7 sniped 13 people for a watch,

  • Some of you guys shouldn't even be using eBay if you don't know how the auctioning works. Do your research first. Everything is explained clearly on the website.

  • good video

  • Don't listen to this dude. You put your maximum you pay for your maximum. Also bidding once is dumb. I put a high bid on something today and ended up paying way too much for it.

Bid late obviously, and only increase your maximum during those stages if you fail to become the higest bidder. 2 bids in the last 15 secs will surely guarentee you the win.

  • @FireWithFire247 you paid too much because you bid a stupidly high price. :p

  • put down the marker mr.shaky

  • Good video! Another trick is to look up the auctions bid history.

  • when i try to link my account to snipe2win it says "error linking the user account to the program please try again" pleaseeeeeeeeee helpppppppppp,,

  • are you absolutely sure that eBay only charges you to be the top bidder?

my absolute max price is 120 (current price 51 dollars) but I don't want to have to go that far.

  • an I pod Touch :) Thanks man!!

  • so I just bidding 50 dollars and won. The price below me was 30.00

When i go to pay will the list price say 30.50 plus shipping?

  • then technically, couldnt you bid 1 000 000 dollars and win always?

  • Yes you could, but some one could bid $99999. And you would have to pay that.

  • me neither :P

But i was wondering, if you put 50 dollars..how come you dont have to pay 50 and instead the number below it?

  • its just the way ebay works, you put in you MAX but obviously no one really wants to pay their max

  • Wow!! Thats awesome! Thanks :D

  • so if the bid was at $20.50 and i put 50 dollars in and won the auction, i would only pay 20.50?

  • 4:30 u r a star wars with a light saber

  • Gotta win that iPhone!

  • Can you place the snipe price at like 10000000000000$ etc. and still win it with out paying all that money and just be like the top buyer by like 1 more dollar?

  • Wow this guy is sooo hip and cool dadeo I wanna become juss like him when I grow up ...you take it easy to bra.

  • awsome thanks

  • thanx man great vid :)

  • nice help thanks

  • Sniping is not a sneaky trick! It's just the way most long time eBay users place their bids. It won't defeat a "deep pockets" bidder. In my opinion..knowing the past closing market price, identifying outstanding sellers (feedback), having PATIENCE and always searching will give you the items you want at a bargain price. There are no short cuts to a good deal!...its hard work. I always bid "below market" and EXPECT to loose more than I win. I still get the items I want over time.

  • I am already doing this I didn't even have to see this:) I hope I win this phone I am trying to get.

  • orrrrrr sniper software...

  • so like if i sniped 1000000000000000000 dollars will i get the price for the next highest bidder

  • i think so

  • Hey, thanks man.

  • awesome. thanks for the tips
