Your strawman fails. No-one is arguing that climate change does not exist. The proposition on the table is that the world is facing CATASTROPHIC human induced climate change which can be mitigated at acceptable cost by depriving the world of affordable energy. All these propositions fly in the face of the evidence that climate change has always happened, and that current conditions are unexceptional.

Steve, you've lost me. You can lead a horse to water, but...facts are facts, and however hard they are, we have to face up to them. Change has to come at a cost - be it now, if we do something, or later, if we do nothing!! Either way, we all have to pay, the question is, how much do you want to pay? I think that the answer is that we need to pay whatever is necessary in order to resolve our problem, or we're all stuffed!! Plant some trees, get solar hot water - just do something positive!
