Standing shield. Link and Toon Link have their normal shields and any projectile that doesn't explode can be blocked by their shields if you don't do anything. I haven't seen much use for it in actual matches but it's an interesting little bonus for the two of 'em.

What game controler do you even use on this? Also, how the heck can you survive going against Galleom, Duon, Porky, and Tabuu without takin any damage with a character you don't really play as? I've tried Boss Batels on Intense mode and I just can't get past it. What do I do?

Practice is the word my man. And master the airdodge, it will help you against almost every boss attack.

Heh, hours upon hours upon hours of practice spent on this mode. I probably had close to 175 hours of Boss Battles experience by the time I got to Link. Also, I've got all the bosses' attack patterns memorized. If you're curious you can check out the FAQ I wrote on GameFAQs (the one written by Nogard) and I go into excruciating detail on all the attack patterns. That FAQ should tell you everything you need to know. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to PM me.

Thanks ^^ The shield's amazing because it works on ANY projectile that hits you dead on and doesn't have an explosion (doesn't work for Duon's triple laser though which is a shame)

Link's standing shield. When he's not attacking, he can just stand there and any projectile that hits him from the front will hit his shield and nothing will happen ^^

I use Link since I have used him since the first smash brothers. Did you put a lot of time into this? Cuz I spent like 2 weeks everyday trying for 1-2 hours and that was it. I should try to use your techniques, cuz what you did is amazing.

Yeah; it took me about... a week and a half trying about 2 hours a day to finally beat this with Yoshi (my main). After that, it took me about 2 more weeks playing about the same time to no-heart it, and then it took me 11 hours after that in two days to no-damage with Yoshi. Then it took me 2 months to get Bowser done (next character) so... yeah... it took a while, heh. Probably to no-damage every character, it was probably about 150-200 hours of gameplay =)

Btw, why didn't you use Dark Link? I'm just wondering.

Heh, glad you liked the video. And to answer your question, I'm not really sure myself.  I guess the same reason I didn't use dark Toon Link; it's not "real" Toon Link/Link if you use the dark suit, and in Link's case, the yellowish, golden color made it easier to see Link with the dark backgrounds on some of the boss fights.

Link (and Toon Link) has a "standing shield" where any projectile that doesn't explode, you can just stand there and if it hits the shield than nothing happens. Rayquaza's hyper beam is the only attack the bosses have that I could do that with. I wanted to do it on Toon Link but he never did the attack so I was unable, heh. But, yeah, Link had the standing shield in Melee too.

You're using Marth and Zelda right?  With Marth, wait until he gets semi-close to you and then jump once, do your forward aerial to do a little damage, and then use your 2nd jump on your way down. If you time it correctly, then you should land on top of Porky and then you can just jump off and repeat if necessary.

For Zelda, just jump twice so that you're over him and use your up-B sideways so that you go over him and you'll land far enough away to get away from him.
