  • It says in the credits its The Who WTF

  • CBS Executive back in 2000: What's this weird little crime show we picked up? Nobody cares about science! Let's just stick it on Friday nights where it won't have too much competition. We can pair it with that remake of "The Fugitive". Now THERE'S a surefire success!

  • better than who r u

  • i hoped so much to find this song, but this is just a 30sec theme? :{{{

  • What is this song called? Took me ages to even find a video with this song in it!! What is it called???

  • i prefer this opening..it is more mysterious and sophisticated..but anyway i don't like who are you as a song anyway so maybe that's the reason anyway..

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS SONG . !!!! PLS SOMEONE !!!

  • what's the name of this song? pleeeease T_T so beautiful...

  • I do not give a big ham abbout the "Who are you" just whant to know this songs maker pls ... pv me ...

  • Anyone Who Knows The Name Of This Song?

  • Don't know why. but to me this sounds more like the kind of music I would see for something like CSI: The Movie. But I guess it's just me.

  • the best theme song they had was who are you by the who

  • @wgwarregubbi I thought it was pretty strange myself. But I DO remember a different song early on during the pilot stage. I wouldn't know if it was a "international copyright song change" like you say. But I did post the video because it is different and was curious to see if some people remember this all those years ago.

  • @planetcsi I bought the first season of CSI earlier this year and watched it. "Who Are You" was always the intro in my dvd set but up until episode like 12 or 13 this song came in the ending credits. After that it was the credits that you see today :S

  • @Damnnn69

cuz this song awesome, "dat who are u" is just lean garbage

  • @planetcsi This and last week I've gone back to watch it from the beginning (It was sorta respected by me even though I never got personal enjoyment at the time but I really dug season 9 thru 11 & I like the first season alot since it feels very similar to a 90s cop show like NYPD Blue.

Also, the acting was phenomenal despite lots of common cliches & mysteries weren't graphic/gory.

Anyway, this is the first song they used before switching to The Who around midseason & included Jorja Fox here

  • I started renting CSI from LoveFilm and this is srangely the theme song on the dvd's as well.

  • The reason Jorja Fox wasn't in the main titles, is because this was the Pilot 1x1. Sara didn't appear till Cool Change 1x2!

  • this is not the original theme song....the theme song has always been the same

  • whats the song ????

  • they dont even have sara on here and im pretty sure she was in the 1st season....

  • @yesha98 i think thats her at 0:19. She was in the first season but she didn't come in til after the rookie was killed her first night on the job.

  • @planetcsi

Holly Gribbs (Chandra West) was in episode 01x01: Pilot, Sara Joined in 01x02: Cool Change. The second episode of CSI

  • @yesha98

In my country we had Jorja Fox in this introduction.

  • @yesha98 she was in the first season but she came in episode 2 i believe shes the new transfer after new csi member holly gribbs was killed

  • Comment removed

  • Sara's first episode was the second in series 1. That was the reason for not appearing in the pilot

  • THE BEST

  • I must say that I prefer The Who's "Who Are You?" intro than this

  • Yep, I agree with you. "Who Are You?" became so iconic as the theme song for CSI that any other background music set for the opening credits seems random and completely wrong. I just thought this might be interesting to post to show how it was like then all those years ago.

  • What is this song called? x

  • As far as I know, it was an instrumental they came up with at the very beginning of CSI only to be replaced by familiar The Who's "Who Are You?" Apparently, the ending credits from the DVDs say its Who Are You? but clearly it isnt. Ive been looking for a longer version for this track, but so far Ive come up empty. If anyone knows where to find it, please let me know.

  • @planetcsi Even tho your post is 1 year old, i reply anyway, this is what i have found out about this short intro song; That music is what is called INCEDENTAL music. it was written just for the intro and ending. it was written by John Keane. no title. it's not out on any record. it is part of the written just for that show (epi). at least that is what we've been told over the years.
