they're Han-Chinese,the melody they performed is an Uyghur fold song.the girls have nothing to do with Mongolia,nor the music.there's two Mongolia,the inner one and outer own.the inner one is a provincial autonomous region of China,thought the outer one,a former Chinese territory,is an independent country adjoining our northern border.pity!
This is a Uyghur folk song. Uyghurs are well known (a minority ethnic group living in the north west part of China)for their music. Search by "Uyghur" in Youtube, you'll see many Uyghur songs and dances perfomed by Uyghurs.
