"It's not one of the greatest hits, but who cares?" LOL, you gotta love Elton John for his humor. And you have to admit that even his minor hits are still amazing songs.
This song is wonderful, why Elton John never sings in concert? and why Elton was singing just the first time in 2000 .... 11 years after its creation?
I don't know why this is not a greatest hit. It is one of my favs. But that's just me. I love the actual video too. Very creative and good video for that time.
@stevenj966 yes, and along the animation of Alan Parson's Proyect song (don't answer me), A-Ha's (take on me) and Mick Jagger's (hard woman to please) were the first made. Good times, right?
Phenomenal Concert. The Guitar Work by Davey Johnstone and John Jorgenson is fabulous. John Jorgenson's versatility as a musician is incredible including a Sax Solo, Steel Guitar and Mandolin.
Pity the DVD is no longer availble - I had it but the centre hole cracked and shattered so it doesn't play anymore :-( The guy playing the sax here, can't remember his name but he's one heck of a musician, plays guitar as well.
This is a great and catchy song, I always turn up the volume when it plays on the radio. I wonder why such a great song wasn't as successful as it's supposed to be?
This video is from a DVD box set entitled "elton john: dream ticket." It was released in approximately December 2004 or January 2005 or somewhere in that ballpark. It was only for sale at Best Buy. It's excellent.
Someone mentioned in an earlier post, that he's lost his touch on the piano. Personally, I think it sounds better than ever. Sure, his voice has changed quite a bit over the years, especially due to the surgery, but hey, he still kick's ass on the piano and probably always will.
Great artist, but hasn't it taken him a long time to get 'his' hair right? The possum on his head during this show was just not making it for him. Seems to have have it right these days though. However as I said great artist, it's easy to forget how many great songs he has produced. Thanks for posting what should have been a huge hit.
In his four-decade career Elton John has sold more than 250 million albums plus over one hundred million singles, making him one of the most successful artists of all time. He has more than 50 Top 40 hits including seven consecutive #1 U.S. albums, 59 Top 40 singles, 16 Top 10, 4 #2 hits, and nine #1 hits. His success has had a profound impact on popular music and has contributed to the continued popularity of the piano in rock and roll. He is truly one of the greatest artists of all time.

Elton was here in South Africa...it was a tad dissapointing. Sound was awful, we could hardly hear him sing over the overwhelming band! He didn't perform nikita, club at the end of the street and other fantastic classics. Instead performed songs that the crowd hardly knew. Oh EJ, come back and give

Strange that this didn't get a lot more airplay as a single, i expected a big hit. Elton's new album The Union, with Leon Russell, is a classic!
