Assasins Creed 1 looks so much better than the second, it's unbelievable. I stopped playing AC2 because its so damn ugly(xbox360). The shadows are dancing like in a disco or pop up out of nowhere, the colors are blurry and ugly, the animation is crap, the people look like dolls and there is a huge lack of detail in distance. Oblivion looks better in disctance than Ac2, and it came out 2006.

I don't want to brag but I AM AWESOME AT COUNTERING ATTACKS! I mean... It is like a second nature to me when playing this game. OOhh, a guard has just swung his sword at me, no matter. Before he even finishes the swing i've taken a defensive position and instantly countered the attack. (except of course at the start of the game in which i did not have the feature.) Although you have a very valid point, I found the counter attack feature a little rusty at times, plz do an assasins creed 2 one thx

TyTy2437: Do you like completing the same 3 or 4 objectives 9 times? The shallow combat system, which is dominated by one instant kill attack is lame. I've been playing games since Atari 2600 and I see this game for what it is; this game was a test for Ubisoft to see what type environment they could produce in future games and probably train people to program PS3 games. You're the one who knows nothing about games. I like Ubisoft, but I know when I see a game that is half finish.

the audio is great (although the weak link is Altairs voice actor. But it's not bad either, it kinda fits with his arrogance!)

The graphics are amazing

The plot is awesome although it becomes a bit repetetive(but for me with THOSE graphics it's not a problem i can do the same things over and over again=

About the AI the guards are really stupid but AI also counts as the civilians and others, right? They are pretty good.

The interesting thing though is that the PC version the so called "invisible" blend doesn't work so well. When I kill someone and another guard goes up to the guy looks around, and says "WHO DID THIS" if I'm in full blend and not far enough away he'll see me. I suppose since the PC version is newer they took that into account. And the combat system isn't that bad once you have 20 enemies around you. It's pretty hard to fend off sometimes.

Hey! Nice Review, pal. If I may, I'd like to comment it. About the counters, it's not a matter of pressing the button many times, but pressing it in the right timing. So the problem was about how u played it. There's nothing wrong with the controls about counter (except, IMO, that they r still a bit too easy to perform). About the AI, I agree with the problems u mentioned, but there were also some breakthroughs in this game. The problems with the fighting have some explanation, the blend doesn't

Good review. My only complaint is that you mentioned the counter kills. Counter kills aren't about hitting the X button a lot, it's about timing. If you hit the X button at the wrong time, it will ruin the counter kill, and you can't save it no matter how many times you press it. So I thought you were a little rough on that, but it was a great review that had a lot of good points.
