in the 80's the MAJORITY of shows were lip synched. so they could concentrate on "dancing" - looking good. remember video only started in the early 80's. so it was pretty new to the world.
the rereleased version of this song has Jeanette hurtado singing lead replacing Alejandra from the original expose. THe original sounds better bc that's what the original release was but these girls did a great job with the next cuts come go with me, when I looked at him, etc.
love this song with the original 3 girls that started expose when peter reckell's wife came in to the group to take the place of the one girl that got throat cancer it was never the same because we were so use to the original girls
ur ageism is amazing and ur way off, btw. not only was i born, walking, talking and potty trained, i also had their cassette but i didn't hav cable so i missed videos and perf like these. by the way ur talkin down 2 me, im guessing ur still much older than me. jus watch the video and leave me alone, thanx cuz i wasn't talking 2 u anyway jus reffering 2 the video.
i read alot of these comments and i agreee with all of them. this was a great group, i also love the original which was sung by the first expose group which originally called themselves X-Posed. they were ale lorenzo, sandee and laurie miller. i remember seeing them at the beat club, which was a teen club in a corner of a shopping center on bird road. its great to be able to relive those memories like MMartin says "close your eyes and go back", way back, back into time.
I remember first hearing this with my friend while we at McDonalds drive thru during lunch in my moms Malibu that she let me drive to school that day, and the employee was pissed off at us because it was so loud and we were "jammin'"! I love the memories of the 80's...I am so glad I got to live it, because that decade is truly singular.
I wish those damn geek scientists would hurry the fuck up and make a damn time machine already; so I can travel back to the 80's and break the damn handle.
Jeanette Jurado Sang the oldie angel baby in the movie Mi familia Which some consider just as good if not better than Rosie and the originals. I agree this was the Best Expose line up ever.
these arent even the original girls from the band! they were replaced as they were hitting it big by these 3. This is Miami folklore as it's part of our freestyle history.
They didnt really hit until they had this lineup. This would have been a national hit in 1984 if the previous lineup was even half as good. Miami yes, everywhere else no.
they actually sounded quite good and to this day BOTH versions are played here. I heard the replacement was due to management and money issues and nothing else. also, the miami freestyle sound crossed over to lots of other places outside of miami such as new york and la.
Oh god, I wish you young kids would do some research before opening up your 18 year old mouths and sticking your foot in it! Lipsynching was HUGE back in the day and was required on a ton of shows back in the 70's and 80's... and even TOTP in England, requested lipsynching from their singers performing on their show. Get with the program, dork.
I don't think there was ever a "live" performance on Solid Gold. But we can't deny that the Solid Gold dancers were anything but live. Anyway...I don't think I missed an episode back when it originally aired.
I was visiting my wife's best friend in Miami a few years back when I noticed this CD in her husband's CD rack. I said "Cool! Someone ELSE likes Expose." He casually responded that he produced the album! I didn't believe him until I opened the CD cover. Sure enough, there was his name! He's got NINE Grammys for production work. Five are in the garage gathering dust!
I'm a life-long metalhead, and I LOVE the 80s even if its not metal. You have to admit, the special effects are similar to the pyrotechnics used in former Iron Maiden, Kiss, and many other bands.
OMG, I would kill to go back in time back to middle school days....music was good. Totally reminds me of riding my bike to the store to get candy and then dream of my middle school crush...Sigh
damn. I wouldve like them more if i remembered their name. There were too many 3-member girl-groups back then, and they all looked alike. I didnt know if i was singing along to Expose', seduction, or the Cover Girls.
This is when women really took care of their look, unlike today where so many women singers especially in hip-hop look like sluts. At least thank God Britney Spears career is practically over.
One of the sexiest songs of all time! Should have hit #1! Has a great beat! This is the kind of stuff that I sadly miss in today's music! Too much rap and hip hop garbage! My fav gal in this lineup is the gal in the pink. She's the cutest in my opinion... Ty
AMEN! weren't those the best! Some stupid thing on tv was saying that the 80's was the decade of the "fashion challenged" and hair was ugly. best years ever!
Wow..thought i was the only one still into expose!! Flashing back to high school..i had pics of them all over my locker...they still are sexy!!! I heard they were playing in Vegas somewhere..true???....whats new with them?? Still sounding great!!
Love this song. The best, and my goodness what a class act these women are they way their dress is, the dancing, very feminine and true women unlike today, which is sad and disgracing.
The orignal version is on the CD Expose's greatest dance mixes on THUMP records. It also has the extended versions of seasons change and exposed to love. Excellent, get it..
I always wanted to be the meat in an Expose' sandwich. Damn, the girls look so young and pretty here. If they're anything like me they look at these old videos and probably wonder where all the time went.

in 20 years they will be talking about your music and the styles too.sad but sooooooo totally true.
i'm 29 now but back in the 90's it was pretty retarded.you know, the flattop haircuts, baggy m.c.hammer pants and the girls trying to look like paula abdul and janet jackson.i am still punk/goth today.i was the type that hung with the deee-lite group.deee-lites song "the groove is in the heart" and "runaway"...you should watch the videos.
