This song has a meaning even if he has an accent. Unlike to real french music who has no meaning or worse ... Not logical? I don't think so. We can understand what is the song way.
@ThaHappyCamper There's also some mistakes in verbs conjugation. Still his french isn't that bad for a stranger...even thou the song doesnt make sense...x). But yah nice try anyway. For example at 1:28 to 1:50 , in french its says " Dans ce café, près de chez elle, il faisait froid mais elle elle est là. Le premier mot et le premier pas. Je regarde sans rien dire etc." = In this coffe, near her home, it was cold but she is here. The first word and the first step. I watch without saying anything. It's weird really.
