God Bless you guys for your work! This movie made me cry like a baby! omG, how anyone could not think animals have feelings, especially after watching this movie, I couldn't understand...I've experienced and seen some seriously sad things in my life, but seeing that dog waiting for his owner everyday (knowing it's a true story), is one of the saddest. The longing was palpable...

The humane society doesn't seem to monitor how the animals are cared for away from filming. There was recent controversy with chimpanzees, revealed by an undercover operation involving famous primatologist Jane Goodall. There is no humane way to train an ape, just possessing one as a commodity is akin to slavery IMO. Administering electric shocks, beatings and who knows what else is reprehensible. As long as it didn't happen while filming a scene, they'd get a seal of approval. Sickening.

Definitely a movie worth watching. Very touching, a story of unconditional love, but prepare lots of tissues.

There's a hachiko statue just outside Shibuya station in Tokyo, Japan in memory of this wonderful faithful and silly dog.

...and when they meet at the train station, it's like the most perfect 'love at first sight'. The moment the puppy looks up with that cute face and those innocent eyes, hell, who could resist that!? Their fate is sealed. Call me mad, but that moment seems VERY Very romantic to me.

Yeah, he's a Shiba. Look, you can't train either dog that well until they're about 4-5 months old, and Akitas grow a whole lot faster than Shibas...so it's hard to sell them as being younger than they are by the time you actually train them.
