  • I can't believe it has nearly been a whole century since the Titanic sunk.

  • What's the name of the piece of music from 0:00 to 0:19?

  • can't believe she sank 100 years ago in April!!!!! Time does fly

  • MANY PEOPLE CLAIMED TITANIC BROKE APART ON THE SURFACE SHE WOULD HAVE BROKE APART ON THE EXPANSION JOINT. AND CAPTAIN SMITH WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR GROUNDING 3 OTHER SHIPS AND COAL FIRES ON2 OTHERS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN GIVEN TITANIC HE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIANCE

  • Where is the Titanic now? i mean is it still underwater? or displayed in a museum?

  • @LesbianMoviesCONR we have pieces of it, but most of it is still in the north atlantic

  • @LesbianMoviesCONR Why don't you use google?

  • The best intro of any titanic movie.

  • the 1 person that dislikes this video was obviously closing their eyes when trying to click like

  • One day in about 100 yrs..People are going to look back and say..wow they had this thing called Youtube..look at all the funny names people were called back then..and look how rude they were as they were typing away!

  • @Midnightryder7 No they won't, humans won't change, they have always been same.

  • hate it when they show the Olympic and say its Titanic

  • @pauldragusin I KNOW RIGHT. they should let it be known that it is SIMILAR to the Titanic, it's not THE Titanic

  • There are no more Titanic survivors alive anymore.. :( The last one died 2009.

  • Is this documentary sold on amazon under the name Titanic:The Whole Story?

I have this saved on vhs but it is so old that it is falling a part.

  • Wow I had never heard of this documentary before! And I love the narrator, David McCallum, he's excellent in NCIS and I love how his voice suits the narration of Titanic!

  • This the THE Titanic documentary..I remember watching when it first premiered on A&E back in the day.

  • Titanic's loss of life was the thing that really stutters me. If they fully loaded the lifeboats, they would have been able to save 1 706 people instead of 899. Its also kind of weird how many authors came super close to predict exactly how the titanic sank, Like the book "Futility or The wreck of Titan" which predicted exactly what was going to happen. Also kind of weird how the Titanic almost got hit by another ship when leaving for it's first...and last journey.

  • @avpkid345 Ironic also that one of those authors was a passenger on Titanic.

  • @avpkid345 Titan is a little different from the Titanic. Essentially the ship in the Titani rammed into the iceberg ad fell on it sde.

  • what's the of the song in the beginning title?

  • I think this is one of the most incredible documentaries of all time...and all the more incredible that it was made, not for the big screen, but for TV. Jack Thayer's words, spoken at the end (the same spoken at the beginning), set to the music, are some of the most beautiful and haunting ever.

  • I love everything about this documentary: the footage, the interviews, the music...it all just sets the perfect tone! Its my favourite Titanic documentary! :)

  • watch out the copy-nazis are coming. they already got rid of this same video clip elsehwere

  • I remember this documentary, I used to watch the 4 tape collection alot in my childhood, I just refound them now, but can't play them because they are VHS, lucky its on youtube

  • milvina is now dead almost a year at the end of this month

  • I remember watching this years ago, I still have it taped.

  • if the titnanic didnt sink would you go on it

  • No, I would not go on the TItanic knowing the outcome

  • Comment removed

  • If you had the chance to ride on the titanic knowing the out come, would you?

  • funny you should mention that... because in one of the parts a woman says they were booked on another ship.. and where moved to the titanic instead.. "we were over the moon"... i know it sinks... but if i was them, even knowing that... id still be over the moon... and id still take the titanic >_>

  • how i can to find the death of a dream in d.v.d with greek subtitles????

  • coo! I have this dvd

  • It is available on DVD...I've had it for about two years now! Narrated by David McCallum ( famous for his Ilya Kuryakin role in the "Man frm U.N.C.L.E." series ), who portrayed Titanic's Morse operator, Harold Bride, in "A Night to Remember."

  • Yeah but not to many remember that now today that he was in that 1958 tTitnaic movie

  • @Titan752 yeah i have a night to remember on dvd the best movie ever made about the titanic sinking in my opinion all others pale into insignificance!

  • Does anyone know how I can obtain this DVD? This is, next to Walter Lords book, A Night to Remember, the best documentary/info feature on the RMS Titanic,...

  • I don't think it's available. I taped it on VHS when it first aired and I still have the original tapes with no commercials.

  • In fact, this is the very documentary that introduced me to the Titanic just ten years ago.

  • Milivia Dean is still alive she is as old as the titanic

  • true sadly she is the only Titanic survivor alive yet she can't tell every thing that happened to her that night because she was a bady at the time.

  • @YamatoTitanic baby!

  • @pujolsfan6 milvina is dead she died last may 31st sorry pal they're all gone walter lord is dead now too

  • @pujolsfan6 It is now 2011 and she is sadly now dead. :(

  • no one wanted to believe Thayer's statments that the ship broke in two parts as she sank.

  • What year was this movie made? Just kind of curious to see if the survivors in this movies are still alive.

  • sadly only one survivor is still alive Millvina Dean but she was only two months old when the Titanic sank and has no recollection of the sinking. The documentary was released in 1994 it must have been made that same year or made in 1993.

  • she is still alive, and she intends to live to see the 100th anniversay of the sinking; I hope she does.

  • i hope so too. She said she is against raising things from the wreck i don't blame her.

  • @bellaemmamom 1994

  • @ceterafan123 Thank you

  • The thing about Jack Thayer is that he had a powerful story of how he survived

  • And his drawing of the sinking he was one of those survivors who claimed that Titanic broke apart on the surface. But many other survivors said she sank in one piece. Many believed the survivors who said is sank intact it was not until the wreck was found in 1985 that they learned that Thayer and the other survivors who said she broke were right after all.

  • a miał byc niezatapialny...

  • This is the very documentary that got me into the Titanic in the first place ten years ago. Thank you for uploading;)

  • Excellent work YamatoTitanic!!! I look forward to watching all of the two parts. Well done, you're to be commended for your hard work!!!

  • thank you part 9 is now on.

  • My favorite Titanic documentary! Thanks for posting.

  • no problem im going to post the rest then do the next episode.

  • I remember seeingthis documentary when I was younger, thanks for posting
