I'm familiar with how blood sacrifices are done, and they are fairly complicated, not just a simple murder, but elaborate rituals which often take hours or even days. Personally it just makes sense loved ones and celebrities would need to be killed, lets suppose someone all of a sudden wants to be a free thinker and do their own thing, or a family member decides they don't like what their other family member is doing, all reasons to have them offed.

Your definition of common sense seems a little different to mine. Artists stop performing, Singing, releasing records etc all the time. For a huge variety of different reasons.
