  • @MarloweDK You look fairly healthy to me. I think most of us north americans arent used to seeing healthy people.

  • love that bass

  • Hello MarloweDK I've been following your channel for a long time, I think all of your tips are great and want to thank you for all your time to share. I've been wondering if you could talk a little about strings, you know... care, gauges, brands, I know that's a matter of personal taste, but anyway knowing what you think about could be a good sources for us beginners. Thanks again

  • Hey! I found Waldo!

  • nice sound

    thanks a lot

    bass chord is really attractive

  • maybe pretty little ditty by rhcp is another good example of using triads on bass!

  • This explained a lot utilising a very common melody. Thanks for this =)

  • Found him !

  • this is probably the most important concept in applying music theory. understanding this concept really gives the keys to the kingdom as far as writing music that is worthy of being performed.

  • p.s. +1 and favorited

  • Thanks for the teaching and for the nice work with the video reference guidance,

  • it's c/f/a right? now i got it

  • The third chord: looks like you play c/fis/a, but fis isn't in the harmonic where the peace is written in? so is it c/fis/a, or could it be c/g/a (g as 5th) ?????

would be nice if you answer

  • beautiful sound from that old jazz! i see you take lightning in your videos to the next level:)

  • This bass sounds like no other can. It's definitely alive. So good it's in proper hands.

  • Waldo jokes aside, that is a very cute shirt on you. You look so good in all of your videos, you just must be fey.

  • WHERES WALLY!

  • Hi, what amp are you using?

  • lol the stach

  • oh, I finally found Waldo

  • i hear a twinkle twinkle little star?

  • @cameron2cool I hear the alphamabetagettibet

  • Marlowe, I have been looking for a new bass and have got my eyes on a Peavey Cirrus, have you played one and if so what are your thoughts? thanks

  • @AcousticBeaver Hey, ive played a cirrus for about four years. Great bass, if you can though, go for a Fender Jazz, in my opinion one of the best basses out there. I got mine mexican made, it was the same price as the cirrus, and plays like an american. But the cirrus is a great, great instrument.

  • @EnslowTyler check out Carvin basses. AMAZING!

  • great video!

  • copyright infringement! hehe ... I want to learn this ... love little traditional tunes on the bass plus learn some cool chords. Thanks marlowe.

  • i germany it's a classical chrismas song thank you, i will copy and play it next the x-mas tree :)

  • I found waldo

  • that's a sexy j bass. what year?

  • @pzcato I think it's from 1963. He said it when he first talked in a vid about one or two years ago. Please do correct me if I'm wrong

  • I love your videos but why are they so damn quiet!?

  • @seehowirock Because he is playing a bass and you have shit headphones/speakers.

  • @rogums I was talking about his voice, and I'm running through a stereo turned way up. Thanks for being an ass about it though...

  • @rogums Thats a bit too much. could've made your point without being a dick.

  • @seehowirock I must admit that it bugs me too, I try to make them loud until distortion in my video editing programs, but more often than not the volume is lower than everything else here on YT. If anyone has maximizing volume tip id love to hear it:-)

  • @MarloweDK I extract audio from a file, and than use Waves Ultramaximizer L3 as a VST in audio editing host program. It works great.

  • @MarloweDK compression/limiting?

  • @MarloweDK If the problem is distortion into the recording software then there is a simple trick. You can just record at a low level and then 'Normalize' the volume of the recorded track. This boost the signal of the whole track to a level of +- 0db compared to the 'Normal' volume. You should be able to do this by either right clicking on the track itself and then finding Normalize in the menu there, or via 'Edit'. Hope this helps :)

  • @maxf130 Thank yuo for the tip, i usually normalize but then again sometimes i forget:-)

  • @MarloweDK What software are you using to construct the whole video, I seem to remember you DI your bass via the Apogee Duet for other videos?

  • @MarloweDK honestly your videos all sound fine, I'm using a cheap pair of laptop speakers. I just think people who are using their laptop's internal speakers aren't getting the volume they need

  • Waldo, is that you!?

  • @RobertGraaf AHHAHAAHAHAHAHAH

  • cool video cool stachio :D
