  • This a nice awesome video of the best running back haha

  • @0:59 such a nice fuckin cut

  • Dude has gotten even bigger and better in the NFL.. what a beast!!

  • thanks Eagles, we got Trevor Laws when we traded with Dallas.

We were offered the Steelers pick for a 1st and 3rd

we would of kept the pick to obtain Kolb

  • hes freakin beast

  • i heard he ran a 4.3sum. but dude he sets up his blocks so well. and he has good power and good break away speed he sees the field really well. if he got just a little bit stronger he could be ap good

  • 4.23 my ass dude quit lying theres no way a running back is running that unless if he's like only 160 lbs at like 5'10 dumbass

  • dunno if he runs a 4.2

    but hes 225 not 160

  • I wouldn't be so sure, chris johnson ran a 4.24 and he's 200 lbs

  • Are you familiar with Chris Johnson?

  • @chisoxwin82 Bo Jackson was bigger n ran a 4.1

  • he is gonna tear shit up next year once he's healthy.

a parker - mendenhall combo will be very very dangerous.

  • Yeah, he was the top back on the draft... Oh snap!

  • just type in fryeburg football

  • rashard mendenhall went to niles west high school ...

thats like 10 minutes away from were i stay at.

its good to see somone do good from around here!

  • Imagine the illini offense if he stayed...

  • yeah they might even had made a bowl game!!!!!!!

  • matt forte is the best rookie rb

  • i think slaton is better than matt forte

  • did iachetta25 honesty just say chris johnson lacks speed? word of advice: get off the drugs and watch the guy play, he's probably the fastest rb in the nfl.

  • rofl oh snap. more evidence of the blind deft and dumb members of youtube....

  • lack's speed? homie if you got 4.2 speed your not gonna be sellin car's. hater!

  • Chris Johnson ran a 4.24 forty. How much more speed do you need?

  • 4.23 lol

  • Damn.

  • He is a rookie IPSUfan.. He will produce.. Give him time. If you are a stillers fan then you know they do not use rookies such as other teams. You will see Mendy in a few games and take the load off of Parker.. My my words.. He is the big back they were looking for.

  • Mendenhall, Johnson, McFadden, and Jones - possibly the best group of backs In the draft, ever.

  • and steve slaton, kevin smith, matt forte, johnathan stewart etc etc

  • @spacitydrummer4JC jonathan stewart was in that draft too..it was a great rb class

  • Yeah, and Stewart. All those guys are great. McFadden didn't do as well as expected, but maybe he'll do better this coming year.

  • Looking forward to seeing RM as a Steeler.. He has a great future.. Just needs to hang onto the ball. It's odd he never had a fumble in his college career yet he has 3 in preseason.. YIKES

  • honestly he did not add anything to the steelers. im a steelers fan btw

  • Dude.. Read my lastest comment.

  • 0:59... This guy is ridiculous... Why didnt Detroit take this guy?? The Steelers are in for a treat for the next few years.. He will win at least one rushing title within the next 4 years..

  • I totally agree with AVBPKP195 on the O-line issue! Plus doesnt anyone think Mendenhall reminds you of a Tatum Bell type runner...Maybe even alittle like Terelle Davis

but faster the way he hits holes!

  • Man I am glad we (the STEELERS) picked him up, but we need some o line.

  • i think with the fact they plan on having both at times in the backfield( parker and mendenhall) this will cause the defences to be purplexed, and take alot of tention of the o line. if they set it up to be like an option play, then both backs could keep the deffences guessing...look for the steelers to go far this year...

  • Maybe. But It seems ste o line has lost some weight and gotten leaner sooo Maybe they will also shape up this year. And if they do hold up, We have some offensive weapons. Roethlisberger, mendenhaal, parker, miller, spaeth, ward, holmes, sweed. Thats the makings of a kick ass offense if you ask me.

  • indeed!! the steelers have always been a force to recon with, but i feel that if mendenhal and sweed step up quickly this year, and add confusion to opponits, it could be another ring for the steel city...i'd say!! the only part that i see as a weak point, is special teams...they need a real threat on kick returns, and they need to be able to stop the other team from getting good yardage. but i think they know that and are working on it... go black and gold!!! steelers all the way!!

  • Hell yeah...but the steelers always have weak special teams so im not worried

  • The O-Line sucked las year becasue Mahan (our center at teh time) who is naturally a Gaurd was to weak for his position and was constantly getting blown up. And i hate to say this but Faneca was playing half ass bc he didnt want to get hurt before his free agent season. 2 interior guys not playing 100% = ben on the grown . now we got hartwig from the panther to play center(the position he naturally plays at) and we have some good competion between the young guys. Steelers are gunna be nasty!

  • The problem I had with the line was the tackles. They got beat every down and most of bens sacks were a result of that...But I know starks has lost some fat and gained some muscle so maybe they can shape up this year...

  • the fact that sean mahan is no longer starting should help the oline tremendously, the guards will no longer be forced to attempt to block 2 defenders at once...AVBPK I honestly think Faneca was playing it was just a result of sean mahan for how bad he looked, he had to block two guys every play.

  • Yeah...so far in the preseason the oline has looked pretty solid...Also we signed Orpheus Roy at defensive end...I think thats a good move.

  • dam i really liked him i was hopin the bears would pick him up but i guess mat forte will have to do for now

  • damn wish he went to the bears

  • yea should have a pretty nice run game dis year

  • one thing I like about Mendenhall is he got "good feet" like Bettis, plus power, and burst. Nice Pick Steelers, can't wait until he's puts on the Black, and Gold.

  • i really wanted the cowboys to take him..i understand why they tok felix and his potential with all his versatility..but..I didnt even watch an Illinois game before i saw mendenhall and watched every one of them after i did, and its worse that he even fell to the boys and they didnt take him, agian i truly understand but the heart overides the brain any day and dammit i wanted them to take mendenhall)oh well i can still root for him and the steelers until the playoffs and against jacksonville lol

  • now Colbert is thinking about playing both at same time... just like college- Parker blocking for Mendenhall, Mendenhall blocking for Parker... Our rushing game would be very dangerous for long time!

  • dont hate Reignman u can convert like thousands of other fans have! Steeler Fans are the best in the world HANDS DOWN And your wrong! Bakersfield California is the arm pit of America HANDS DOWN!!!!!

  • I think Mendenhall and Sweed will put Big Ben atop the QB world and the Steelers way above the rest of the league Here we go Steelers! Here we go!

  • I though Gary Indiana was the armpit of America. That is if you don't count the state of New Jersey.

  • lol i agree oildale and bakersfield arm pit of america..

  • Yes, Pittsburgh is the armpit of America. Please don't come to live here. Yinz all wouldn't want to live here--it's a terrible place. (It's actually one of the best cities in the country--a overlooked jewel. But, shhh, don't tell everyone.)

  • lol!!

  • Back in the day Pittsburgh was THE cityof America. One of the top producers, obvious with the steel, but also one of the cleanest.

Face it, Pittsburgh is like friggen Oz from the Wizard of Oz.

  • I can't wait to see him in BLACK N' GOLD!! Willie and Mendenhall are going to be a nice combination. HERE WE GO!!!!

  • kinda like terrel davis but quickker and faster

  • This is all great but the catch is can we block for these dudes

  • I am so glad the steelers got this guy with willie and Mendenhall and the wide reciever we just picked up we will be hard to beat

  • He has a good size with brusing ability. He also has quick feet and can pull off some pretty sick moves for his size. Also, Look an that nimbleness along the sideline!. He goes low and hits some in traffic, but with open field he puts a move on defenders. He has a perfect combination of size and moves, and he knows which of the two he should use in the situation he is in. Considering he has better surrondings then McFadden he will probably have a better rookie year then him.

  • I certainly hope McFadden's rookie year isn't too disappointing. I have a Fantasy Football draft tonight, and my draft strategy makes Tomlinson and McFadden the starters on the my team (I have the first overall pick, hee hee).

  • Look at the year Fargus had last year. McFadden won't suck and have atleast 850-900 yards. Good chance over 1,000. But do you know their Qb or any of their recievers? They will rely on him to much and he will eventually be stopped. Mendenhall will have a more consitant year becuase he will be used sparingly. McFadden will have big games but by the end of the year he will be worn out and the D will know how to stop him. This situation can be compared to slow and steady wins the race .

  • Good point. Turns out, it didn't go the way I planned though. I got Tomlinson, but that was it. I did get a surprise gift in Braylon Edwards, so that was cool. I was thinking of trading for Mendenhall, actually, but I have Jonathan Stewart, so I don't know.

  • I got luck in my mock draft. With the 5th pick I got AP in the first and Willis McGahee is the second. Parker in the 5th to garentee a stong running back core. Jay Cutler is my Qb but what did I expect using my second pick on another rb.(If I took a qb in the 2nd it would have been a reach so its not that bad) A have a boat load of potential in my recievers and they will probably decide the fate of my season. Santanio Holmes, Donte Stallworth, Patrick Clayton, and Roddy White!

  • I have a really good team well i thiink. Marc Bulger at qb

    AP at running back

    Willie Parker

    Ronnie Brown

    Andre Johnson

    Tory Holt for receivers

Benjamin watson for te and colts d and special teams with Jeff Reed kicker

  • Cool. Sounds like you should be one of the top teams in you league.

  • well put tg101393 look at reggie bush he was all the saints had and it didnt take long for teams to key up on him

  • goood strategy... if its a 12 team league u get picks 1 , 24 lol i would try to get like Forte or J. stew as your third guy

  • Even before the Steelers drafted him I said this guy is going to be awesome in the NFL.I cant believe he fell to them. I dont want to get ahead of myself but I think FWP and Mendenhall are going to be the best one-two combo in the NFL. Here We Go Steelers!

  • wooo go steelers!!!! SB XLIII CHAMPS

  • Finally! A Jerome Bettis-like back with good speed!

  • I'd say he's more like Emmitt Smith in my opinion!

  • Kiper called him a "Barry Foster-like" runner. And if Kiper says it, it must be true. Y'just don't fuck with "The Hair."

He's gonna be awesome. I just hope by "Barry Foster-like," Kiper doesn't mean "kick-ass-for-a-few-years-then-lose-interest," 'cause that would blow.

But I'm sure he meant that he'll kick ass, though.

Congratulations on making it to the greatest franchise in NFL history.

  • WELCOME TO THE BLACK AND GOLD SHARD!!

  • GO STEELERS!

  • Money.

    go steelers.

  • yeeee sonnnnn with willie and him the steelers will be sick

  • STEELERS

  • I'm pretty happy with him as the Steelers' 1.23 pick.

  • That run at 1:41 was sick.

  • Thats real nice but will the elite teams stand up thats right you gotta climb over Dallas guys I will say this Minnesota has a lot potential just gotta make sure they can pass the ball well enough.

  • yea but to bad he's going to carolina and not chicago, bears suck anyway, and he would be a better fit in carolina anyway, we are closer to gettin back to the playoffs then ya'll are

  • Haha Carolina is also a long way from making the playoffs. If anything the Bears are closer than Carolina. They play in one of the weakest divisions in football. Today he has stated that he would like to play for the Bears, I realize that doesn't mean anything but he realizes the Bears are far away from any sort of championship. He would be a better fit in Chicago, seeing as he came there and he was recruited to Illinois by Ron Turner, the Bears offensive coordinator. Get your shit straight

  • see i can tell your a dumbass, who cares who he was recruited by, wasnt norman chow matt lienarts offensive cor, and who did they draft smart guy .... oh yea they drafted vince young, so spare me, the bears have no Quarterback, no runningback, no recievers, a defense falling apart, do you watch football, or better yet do you even play football, cause if you did you would get your shit straight jackass, holla at me when you know what ya talkin about , and I bet ya carolina makes da playoffs

  • Haha you're talking about running game and quarterback. The Panthers also don't have either. The Panthers also have a defense that is falling apart. The Bears defense was plagued by injuries last year and they are all gonna be healthy by the start of the season. The Bears have a better defense and better special teams. The Panthers won't make it to the playoffs. Also I was mainly arguing the point that he would fit better in Chicago, not that they were drafting him. Read my response.

  • oh shit i almost forgot the other reason the bears wont make the playoffs is beacuse of this guy named ADRIAN PETERSON, oh dont let me forget they just pcked up jared allen to go along with the williams brothers, and t-jack is gonna shine dis year cause oh yea we got the bears best reciever benard berrian, now we dare you to crowd the line, so jr know ya football before ya open ya damn mouth to someone who's bein playin it for 18yrs.

  • Bernard Berrian isn't worth the contract he signed. Adrian Peterson is injury prone. He's been injured every year since his freshman year in college. Jackson on the other hand is a bad qb. The Vikes will probably look for an insurance policy in the draft. The Bears should be more worried about Chester Taylor. Peterson is talented, but when you have the kinds of holes he has to run through anyone can look like a stud.

  • you aiigt in my book cuz, but bet me that the bears have a better record or better yet go farther in the playoffs than the panthers, a friedly wager if you will.

  • Man I wasn't betting that the Bears would make it, I was just betting that the Panthers wouldn't.

  • 20 bucks says Peterson goes into a sophomore slump in a season riddled with injury. I mean, come on...he's the Vikings' only trace of an offense.

  • at 54 sec it takes 3 people to get em down

  • he is so much better than mcfadden, he just as dangerous in open space, but has the size and hard downhill running to tip the scales, i hopehe gets drafted in the top ten, or stays there long enough for the bucs to get him

  • yeah.. should be nice to see rex pitching all those balls to him next year.

  • hes so beast!
