  • The Henry VIII in 'The Tudors' is too egotistical, power hungry and lustful. The young Henry did have some virtue too him too, especially before he started getting involved with Anne Boleyn.

  • @ultraviolent29 Interesting you say that. One point of this video is to show the contrast between who Henry wanted to be as stated by the lyrics, which was actually rather unrealistic for a king, and what he eventually became. I do show a few good moments here for that reason. On the Tudors, he's much younger when he courts Anne Boleyn than he really was; they kind of squish up history, so the dark side emerges earlier.

  • @Himaryous Henry was what the lyrics describe in his youth. As a young man, with a coronation at the tender age of 17, he was a carefree, gentle, personable, charming, talented and handsome young man. Unfortunately he had to fail an fade on the battlefield before the tyrant of legend merged, for what Henry desired most was to be famous, whether that meant being infamous did not matter to him since he owned 'divine providence'.
