I am so sick of coming on here to watch people play, only to see rehersed pieces played out of what feels like obligation. I watched you, listened to you, and got goosebumps.

Especially with this video, I can really feel...emotion. It's very refreshing.

And it's the reason I started playing. The piano is such a versatile instrument, and very poetic.

@tonileibham Yes I do compare it to it. The Moonlight is a masterpiece. I love Glass. It's his try at it. It was made for a movie soundtrack........he tried to do his version. Listen not merely to the chords but the entire structure. Phillip has lately been looking for immortality. The experimentaion of the 70's & 80's is over. He wants clasical recognition. And with a bit more effort - he just might get it. His only problem is the medium has changed, he needs more exposure - and he knows it.

this has always been my favorite piano piece ! It's unfortunate that i can't play piano myself. I find it too hard that my right had does something else than the left hand. I tried it 2 years but was only able to play easy songs.

That is a very nice interpretation. You own it.

Viewing your video makes me wish I had stayed with the piano. There was a time when I was experimenting with left hand ostenatos as a basis for sending the right hand melody into orbit. I forget now if I was influenced by someone who was influenced by someone who liked Philip Glass.
