1. MJ 2. Russell 3. Magic 4. Bird. 5. Kareem 6 Kobe 7 Big O 8. Duncan 9. Hakeem 10. Jerry West I'm not a Laker fan but you gotta look at Kobe's longevity, the rings, the stats, and the incredible competitiveness. By the time he 's through probably 20 seasons, 40k pts, 5 rings. He aint Jordan but he's getting close
Michael jordan Magic johnson Kareem abdul habbar Kobe bryant Oscar robertson Shaquille oneal Wilt chamberlain Hakeem olajuwan Larry bird Julius erving U guy are ridiculous if u think kobe is not top ten he is top 5 right now 81 points is unreal He did that without overtime and michael jordan needed overtime to score 69 points and face it kobe will most likely past jordan on the all time scoring list he just past shaq And jerry west in the top 10 get real who ever made this video if he played
@BNS224 i think it was easy for the legendary players because they did played people who i think eerent really good because they didnt have technolgy or rhing to help the ot so god players and the realt god players were born with amazing basketball talents
@BNS224 i dont want to start anou just kbon the top tenHe has acored over 28000 pionts in his career and won 5 nba titles and i know shaq has helped win 2 of those but then after that who really helped him win 3 of his 5.I cant really think aof a superstar who helped win those 3 more.He also has scored 81 pionts in a game.He also played very good with injuries.i cant say anything about rusell cause i never seen him play caise im only 14
Kobe is not top 10. The only reason he has 5 rings is b/c of Shaq, and even Shaq is overrated. Isiah even won back to back titles, I don't hear him in the conversation or John Havlicek who was instrumental in many of the C's titles and has 8 rings. Shaq was not skilled or athletic, he was just a bully whose main move was a borderline offensive foul finished with a dunk. He was not a great rebounder or defender, decent maybe. Also benefitted from a watered down 30 team league.
@BNS224 I applaud your statement. People need to realize their competition in the finals was weak. The 76ers, the nets, the pacers. The year they beat the pacers they pacers had a record of 56-26 the 76ers in '01 had the same record. The nets were 52-30. No impressive season records there at all. Stiff competition.
My top 10 in NO PARTICULAR ORDER 1) Lew Alcindor aka Kareem Abdul Jabbar 2) Wilt Chamberlain 3) Bill Russell 4) Tim Duncan 5) Hakeem Olajuwon 6) Moses Malone 7) Michael Jordan 8) Larry Bird 9) Magic Johnson 10) Oscar Robertson. Right below them is Jerry West. IMO if not for the greatest dynasty in sports (60's C's) he would have 3-5 rings.
my top ten 10. Oscar Robertson 9. Kobe Bryant 8. Jerry West 7. John Stockton 6. Shaq 5. Hakkeem Olajuwan 4. Majic Johnson 3. Lebron when career is over 2. Kareem-Abdul Jabbar 1. Michael "Air" Jordan Drose will be up there at the end of his career
Why do you allways have to put rap music in basketball videos? Basketball is not a gangst'a game. If you like some kind of music it's ok, you don't have to put it in your videos. Again I have to mute the video while i'm watching it.
@legendkillerpunt inconsistent eh 5 time nba champion 2 time finals mvp 1 time leage mvp 4 time all star mvp 4 time nba all first team 2 time nba scoring champion 10 time nba all defensive team and the list goes on for kobe and yet he's still incosistent for you ? let me ask you something homeboy how much do you know about basketball ?
@legendkillerpunt i love when you wrote inconsistent, when every basketball analyst, historian, sports commentators even 3/4's of the guys in the top 10 and the rest of the league and athletes in the world put him in the rightful top 10 of the greatest players, your comment is irrelevant and hateful, which fuels Kobe day by day and bring's him more money and fame.
@Hankywu KB is not top 10. As far as Russell, he is probably the best defender in NBA history and if they had kept blocks as a stat he would be the all-time leader in that too. 5 NBA MVPs, 11 titles, 2nd all-time in total rebounds and rpg. Won titles as a player/coach. Captain and centerpiece of the Celtic dynasty that won 8 titles in a row. He changed the whole game in terms of defense and also allowed the BOS fastbreak to succeed. Stats alone can't measure his impact on the floor.
Respect to all, but in my opinion, Hakeem Olajuwon deserves to be in top 10. I respect Russell and Chamberlain, but if they play in 90-s, they wouldn't be so successful.
@Seanniieee LeBron doesn't have too good teammates?? Ever heard about Dwyane Wade?? NBA Champion (2006) NBA Finals MVP (2006) 7× NBA All-Star (2005–2011) NBA Scoring Champion (2009) 2× All-NBA First Team (2009–2010) 3× All-NBA Second Team (2005–2006, 2011) All-NBA Third Team (2007) 3× All-Defensive Second Team (2005, 2009–2010) NBA All-Rookie First Team (2004) NBA All-Star Game MVP (2010) 2× Skills Challenge Champion (2006–2007) And Chris Bosh.
I cannot believe you put Shaq over Hakeem. Hakeem was such a better athlete and more well-rounded ball player. Cool, he has championships, but if Hakeem had somebody like Kobe for as long as Shaq did, he would without a doubt have more rings than Shaq.
8 players better than Kobe and Shaq? xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
shaq made a living off his size, he was fun to watch for a while but eventually it was boring as fuck, hes awesome not hating at all. last time shaq entertained me was when yao ming blocked him in their first game
Are you kidding? Where is John Stockton? Best PG to ever play the game and the all-time leader in assists and steals, and he doesn't even crack top 15? You even put Malone ahead of him. Malone was good, but there is no way he reaches 2nd all time in points without Stockton feeding him for the buckets. Smh...
@nosupa Too high at #9?? If you're talking about the Kobe of late being inconsistent then you have plenty of ground to speak. But im pretty sure the players in this video made the list because of what they accomplished in their prime, excluding MJ cuz he was the man until he retired. Kobe could rival anyone of these 10 players in his prime, hes a beast ( 02-09 ) I'd say somewhere in the top 5 is a more deserving spot for him.
You're right re/spartan I lost my temper, he's not an asshole, he just has no clue about basketball, then again, I look right below this, and I can't help myself, I really can't. An asshole has Kobe at number 2. I do apologize, I don't want to start any wars or anything, but someone should screen the really super retarded ones, don't you think?
@MrPunisha08 ---That is the shittiest funniest list I have evr seen in my life...You have James Worthy as apparentlly the 7th greatest player of all time, when James Worthy himself has said that he would rather guard Jordan than Bird---oh asshole, btw if this is just a Lakers list, since when did Jordan, Russell, and Olajuwon play for the Lakers? What year exactly did u start smoking crack, anyway? Your list sounds like you are on your last overdose, either that or you are 4 years old asshole
@TheFDrScAnLoN first of all my list is my opionion second i dont really care wat u have to say those guys are the best along with thousands of other greats so go give ur mother a sponge bath u crumb cake
@BRAZEN08 You have no brain, you must be 11 or 12. You have Duncan over Bird. There isn't even one part of the game that he is better in. Maybe 1 on 1 d. Shooting, leadership, rebounding, playmaking, team defense, free throw shooting--I mean, you gotta be some kinda racist. Put Duncan on the Celtic teams where he had to beat TWO elite hall of famers--Magic and Kareem. He did it once, duncan, you ain't gettin' past Jordan's first round 63. Top twenty, and respectable tier 2 hall of famer.Shithead
Shaq/Kobe with 9 combined titles.. West/robertson with what,TWO??? they are greater than Shaq/Kobe?? man, west and Big O were fuckin awesome, but its time to let go.........
man, Kobe's highlites on this shit are nothing short of breathtaking....among other players, its high time a guy like Big O (yes i know how legendary he was,the triple double seasons) stops being rated higher than Bryant...to put a current player of Kobe's abilities lower than a 70's player just doesnt make sense...i knw that statement can and will open a can of worms, but CMON...SMH...its about time some of these players in the usual Top Ten start sliding down..SHIT EVOLVES!!!!!!!
ok...just for a moment lets throw players titles, career points, mvps, etc out the window for a second...and lets go by BASKETBALL ABILITY/SKILLS only...and before i type this keep in mind i KNOW basketball...but ask urself: is Oscar Robertson better than Kobe?? Russell/Wlit better than Shaq?? Bird better than Lebron?? i understand the criteria's and im aware how great these players were but elgin Baylor's abilities dnt measure up 2 a guy like DWade..things evolve..so should these lists
i dont know why people are pissed at LEBRON WTF... he wasted 6 years at cleveland and the only help they gave him was a washed up shaq WTF fuk off cleveland. the owners just got rich off of lebron
3.Bill Russell 2.Michael Jordan 1.Wilt Chamberlain
Cmon 50 ppg one year, 30 ppg for career, 22 rebpg career, 100 pt game , 2nd highest fg% all time, 7 time scoring champ, owns around 50 legit nba records, even led the league in overall assists one year, this is about greatest player, not greatest winner, jordan was amazing, but not this good, hs was unstoppable in a time of great centers like russel and reed
russell beat wilt everytime they met in the playoffs.
a injured willis reed beat wilt in the finals.
wilt averaged 50 ppg the season the nba had a scoring boom. too much scoring, not enough defense. and wilt was 7 foot 2 in a league full of 6 foot 8 centers. and he was an asshole of a teammate. except in 1967 and 1972, no one wanted to play with him. the lakers players voted AGAINST trading for him.
@montsteph308:"you must be high man!Lebron isn't as talented as Kobe!more athletic ok,but kobe's skills surpass those of Lebron by far man!And Lebron hasn't prove shit yet!Call himself the King!!Get the fuck outta here man!I rate even Wade higher than that choke-ass motherfucka so don't even compare him to Kobe!"
@sztunna 81 points against a 29th ranked defense who admitted their gameplan was to leave him be, 62 in three quarters on the most ridiculous fall calls I have ever seen (Mavs getting thrown out of the game because they could not believe some of the panzy calls) Carried by Shaq for three rings and shot a terrible percentage all but one year in the finals with shaq. Shot the Lakers out of the 04 finals against the Pistons. Honestly I don't have Kobe in my top ten
@InFamous5823 regardless , thats still 81 points , &thats still 62 points while the Mavs had 61 . &what player on this list DIDNT have HOF help in winning a ring ? as a matter of fact , most of these players were on the same team when they got their rings , so thats not really an argument .
@sztunna Kobe is not consistent enough to make the top ten. Kobe's defense is also overrated. There are players out there who have done more and have been more consistent than Kobe and to look at nothing but 81 points and 62 points (Which should not have happenend since those calls were ridiculous) alone to judge how good a player is is just stupid. I have Kobe #17 all time on my top 50 list
In my opinion this list is just about perfect. I might swap Wilt and Kareem, and move Kobe ahead of Jerry West, but I like it. The only debate people should be able to have is that skill wise, and pure overall talent (ability to pass, shoot, steal, block, layup, dunk, etc) Is that Michael is still #1 But Kobe Bryant would be number 2, with Magic and Bird coming in at 3 and 4. Pure talent and skill there is no arguement about those 4. But stats, and champioships and MVP's your list is perfect
SF: Michael Jordan (wanted to put kobe and mj on the same team)
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Shaquille O'Neal
remember that back in the 60's and 70's most centers werent that tall and therefore the tall ones may have been a little overrated (wilt is an amazing player but i dont think he wouldve scored as many points with 7 footers guarding him)
i agree with @travon21 why the fuck do you think all the older players are better than newer players. Wade and Lebron are better than more than half the people here
Olajuwon would have owned shaq throghout his career if they palyed against eachother for a long time. He only had a chance to to it when Shaq was a rookie and he did school him.
Olajuwon would have owned shaq throghout his career if they palyed against eachother for a long time. He only had a chance to to it hen Shaq was a rookie and he did school him.
All in all, a pretty good list. Anyone can quibble over the order, but no outrageous people in there. All are deserving of inclusion, but so are a few others.
Kobe need to be higher #2 most likely 5× NBA Champion (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010) 2× NBA Finals MVP (2009–2010) NBA Most Valuable Player (2008) 13× NBA All-Star (1998, 2000–2011) 2× NBA scoring champion 8× All-NBA First Team 2× All-NBA Second Team 2× All-NBA Third Team 8× All-Defensive First Team 2× All-Defensive Second Team 4× NBA All-Star Game MVP
are u serious kobe at 9, god i hate people who just put the legends high because they are legends, the average nba player is much better now then in the 1950,60,70,80s
@raulrln77 Won't happen unless they get a top 3 bigman on that team. And even with that, 7 is a stretch. They won't get 1 with their existing players.
@travon21 The fact that Larry legend has more rings, better stats, that's why larry bird is better. Larry bird is easily in the top five of all time greats. Lebron hasn't done anything yet.
@travon21 Cause Bird wasn't quick neither he could jump high.Despite that he acomplished to win 3 rings when the LA Lakers and their legendary team was on the top.He was one of the smartest players ever!
@travon21 did you saw what you write..............larry was a legend he and magic changed the game .....plus he led the celtics to 3 championships............wade 1.....lequeen what 0
@travon21 WTF ARE U SMOKING u must be 1 of those 10 year old kids who have never seen the true greats bird is the best SF of all time and wade isnt even in the top 30 players in history but bird is in the top 5
if you want the top 10 of all time best player its 1. Michael Jordan 2. Magic Johnson 3. Kobe Bryant 4. K. Abdul-Jabbar 5. Larry bird 6. Bill Russell 7. Wilt chamberlain 8. Jerry west 9. Shaquille O’Neal 10. Oscar Robertson
West was a slow 6'2' , basically another Steve Alford and look what happened to him. Robinson was 6'5" , but there is NO WAY he would've been able to play point in todays game with all the quick and athletic guards defensively or offensively. I think you should be more objective in your analysis because players back then are just NOT the same physically
@alexaadap Lol you probably never saw him driving to the hoop . West was not slow , he maybe wouldnt be the quickest PG today but he would have the quickness that is needed . Let me say it like this , Jerry West was one of the best guards in the early 60's , in the end of his career in early 70's guards become much more athletic like nate archibald , walt frasier or jo jo white . He was STILL one of the best guards in the league !
@alexaadap BTW Nate Archibald is considered even today as the quickest PG ever to play the game , not some Rajon Rondos or Chris Pauls . As for Oscar Robertson case that has no logic at all , its like you said Magic Johnson with 6'9'' frame couldnt play PG today . I am very objective and with any claim i state i have a fact that stands .
@garioldwin Your logic makes sense and Magic and Tiny would be just as effect against today's players, but I thought we were discussing players from the 60's and late 70's? Obviously your mind is already set. We could agree to disagree
@alexaadap They would destroy teams of today just like fundamently talented slower less athletic European teams have been doing lately to NBA players during World Championship matches.
Old Jerry West is almoust as tall as Bryant , West was no doubt taller when he was young and Kobe wears basketball shoes which gives him some height advantage . Jerry West was considered to be 6'2'' , wtf is wrong with those measures ??
you can rationnally calculate "scores" in order to see which player you would put in this top ten. Those "scores" would include mvp titles, finals mvp titles, all st ar mvp titles, nba champion titles without being mvp, all star selections without being mvp, how many times in all nba 1st team without being mvp,2d team, defensive Player title (with different ratios).

626SupremeLogic 7 months ago
man, Kobe's highlites on this shit are nothing short of breathtaking....among other players, its high time a guy like Big O (yes i know how legendary he was,the triple double seasons) stops being rated higher than Bryant...to put a current player of Kobe's abilities lower than a 70's player just doesnt make sense...i knw that statement can and will open a can of worms, but CMON...SMH...its about time some of these players in the usual Top Ten start sliding down..SHIT EVOLVES!!!!!!!
626SupremeLogic 7 months ago
ok...just for a moment lets throw players titles, career points, mvps, etc out the window for a second...and lets go by BASKETBALL ABILITY/SKILLS only...and before i type this keep in mind i KNOW basketball...but ask urself: is Oscar Robertson better than Kobe?? Russell/Wlit better than Shaq?? Bird better than Lebron?? i understand the criteria's and im aware how great these players were but elgin Baylor's abilities dnt measure up 2 a guy like DWade..things evolve..so should these lists
626SupremeLogic 7 months ago
Hakeem outside the top 10?? Really? No way. He's gotta be at least top 5.

Kobe has a case for top 10, but not over magic. Somewhere in the 8-10 range

10.Allen Iverson
9.Oscar Robertson
8.Jerry West
7.Larry Bird
6.Magic
5.Kobe
4.Kareem
3.Bill Russell 2.Michael Jordan 1.Wilt Chamberlain
Cmon 50 ppg one year, 30 ppg for career, 22 rebpg career, 100 pt game , 2nd highest fg% all time, 7 time scoring champ, owns around 50 legit nba records, even led the league in overall assists one year, this is about greatest player, not greatest winner, jordan was amazing, but not this good, hs was unstoppable in a time of great centers like russel and reed
8648harvest 7 months ago
@8648harvest iverson isnt in the top 50
IheartOP 7 months ago
@8648harvest *facepalm*
russell beat wilt everytime they met in the playoffs.
a injured willis reed beat wilt in the finals.
wilt averaged 50 ppg the season the nba had a scoring boom. too much scoring, not enough defense. and wilt was 7 foot 2 in a league full of 6 foot 8 centers. and he was an asshole of a teammate. except in 1967 and 1972, no one wanted to play with him. the lakers players voted AGAINST trading for him.
would someone vote against playing with MJ?
really, would they?

1981NEGRO 8 months ago
how is kobe #9 ? c'mon now .
- 81 points .
- 62 in three quarters .
- four straight 50 point games .
- 12 three pointers .
- five rings .
kobe HAS to be at LEAST in the top five .
sztunna 8 months ago
@sztunna 81 points against a 29th ranked defense who admitted their gameplan was to leave him be, 62 in three quarters on the most ridiculous fall calls I have ever seen (Mavs getting thrown out of the game because they could not believe some of the panzy calls) Carried by Shaq for three rings and shot a terrible percentage all but one year in the finals with shaq. Shot the Lakers out of the 04 finals against the Pistons. Honestly I don't have Kobe in my top ten
InFamous5823 8 months ago
@InFamous5823 regardless , thats still 81 points , &thats still 62 points while the Mavs had 61 . &what player on this list DIDNT have HOF help in winning a ring ? as a matter of fact , most of these players were on the same team when they got their rings , so thats not really an argument .
sztunna 8 months ago
@sztunna Kobe is not consistent enough to make the top ten. Kobe's defense is also overrated. There are players out there who have done more and have been more consistent than Kobe and to look at nothing but 81 points and 62 points (Which should not have happenend since those calls were ridiculous) alone to judge how good a player is is just stupid. I have Kobe #17 all time on my top 50 list
InFamous5823 8 months ago
@sztunna maybe top 15
Xx11256xX 7 months ago
In my opinion this list is just about perfect. I might swap Wilt and Kareem, and move Kobe ahead of Jerry West, but I like it. The only debate people should be able to have is that skill wise, and pure overall talent (ability to pass, shoot, steal, block, layup, dunk, etc) Is that Michael is still #1 But Kobe Bryant would be number 2, with Magic and Bird coming in at 3 and 4. Pure talent and skill there is no arguement about those 4. But stats, and champioships and MVP's your list is perfect

this is my all time nba fantasy team:
PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Michael Jordan (wanted to put kobe and mj on the same team)
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Shaquille O'Neal
remember that back in the 60's and 70's most centers werent that tall and therefore the tall ones may have been a little overrated (wilt is an amazing player but i dont think he wouldve scored as many points with 7 footers guarding him)
please tell me what u think

Siv024 , how the hell is Larry bird better than LEBRON or WADE ?
travon21 1 year ago
@travon21 That's a pretty easy one to justify
Manx17 1 year ago 34
@travon21 The fact that Larry legend has more rings, better stats, that's why larry bird is better. Larry bird is easily in the top five of all time greats. Lebron hasn't done anything yet.
lebron2561 1 year ago
@travon21 Seriously the dumbest question Ive seen on YT pertaining to bball.
reno93535 1 year ago
@travon21 LOL yeah, are you serious? He was the main player in a legendary Celtics team, and has more rings than Lebron and Wade combined.

@travon21 Cause Bird wasn't quick neither he could jump high.Despite that he acomplished to win 3 rings when the LA Lakers and their legendary team was on the top.He was one of the smartest players ever!

SIV024 1 year ago
West was a slow 6'2' , basically another Steve Alford and look what happened to him. Robinson was 6'5" , but there is NO WAY he would've been able to play point in todays game with all the quick and athletic guards defensively or offensively. I think you should be more objective in your analysis because players back then are just NOT the same physically
alexaadap 1 year ago
@alexaadap Lol you probably never saw him driving to the hoop . West was not slow , he maybe wouldnt be the quickest PG today but he would have the quickness that is needed . Let me say it like this , Jerry West was one of the best guards in the early 60's , in the end of his career in early 70's guards become much more athletic like nate archibald , walt frasier or jo jo white . He was STILL one of the best guards in the league !
garioldwin 1 year ago
@alexaadap BTW Nate Archibald is considered even today as the quickest PG ever to play the game , not some Rajon Rondos or Chris Pauls . As for Oscar Robertson case that has no logic at all , its like you said Magic Johnson with 6'9'' frame couldnt play PG today . I am very objective and with any claim i state i have a fact that stands .
garioldwin 1 year ago
@garioldwin Your logic makes sense and Magic and Tiny would be just as effect against today's players, but I thought we were discussing players from the 60's and late 70's? Obviously your mind is already set. We could agree to disagree
alexaadap 1 year ago
@garioldwin i meant 60's and EARLY 70's
alexaadap 1 year ago
@alexaadap They would destroy teams of today just like fundamently talented slower less athletic European teams have been doing lately to NBA players during World Championship matches.
reno93535 1 year ago
Old Jerry West is almoust as tall as Bryant , West was no doubt taller when he was young and Kobe wears basketball shoes which gives him some height advantage . Jerry West was considered to be 6'2'' , wtf is wrong with those measures ??
garioldwin 1 year ago
you can rationnally calculate "scores" in order to see which player you would put in this top ten. Those "scores" would include mvp titles, finals mvp titles, all st ar mvp titles, nba champion titles without being mvp, all star selections without being mvp, how many times in all nba 1st team without being mvp,2d team, defensive Player title (with different ratios).
