How to connect to VATSIM

@StevenKiberton UHH NO! FUCK NO! GameSpy multiplayer sucks ass! VATSIM is the way to go. You probably don't know, but to connect to VATSIM you go through Free Flight, then connect via the Add Ons menu.

Vatsim IS Multiplayer. You DO get to see others land. You get to talk proper real world procedures etc. between the controllers And there is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo­ooo much more, experienced traffic.

@MegaAmarchana123 Well, there isn't any particular way of joining an event, it's just the same as any other day on vatsim. All you need to do is plan your flight and turn up at the airport. If it is a large event then there may be someone directing people on what to do, but most of the time, say a certain airports weekly ATC day, It's just the same as a busy normal day. :D

@airplanecrazy1989 ther is a free programme called VATSPY ggogle it and install it. It gives you a list of whos connected to vatsim where they are.it give you a map and also a list of controllers that are online. it is very useful to know where to plan your flight. you should check it out. hope this helped

@nadeemone You have to now enter the server addresses manually... Just type in the server IP address for the server you want. Google will help with getting the current server addresses

@usbusmodsairplanes55 Try a different server. vattastic (google it) has a list of current servers. You should pick the server which is physically closest to where you physically are (in flesh and blood) to get the best ping. All servers are linked together so if you connect to Oceana from America and fly in Europe, you still see everyone on the network. If it still doesn't work, perhaps try changing firewall settings.

For a great and free AI pack an no need for selecting aircrafts manually in fsinn later:

1. Make an account on IvAo, download their pilot client, install the included huge AI pack

1. Google "vatsim AI register tool" and click the second list. Download the AI register tool and run it. Remember to follow the instructions accurate

2. When completed you have almost all thinkable AI aircrafts installed, and FSInn will select them automatically from the start when you connect to Vatsim.

Second of all some controlers say things like this in this scenario "could you report bad weather?" " no i dont care" which was said in these words. for everyone who is having trouble finding a server relax, if nothin appears on the pull down bar, do a google search for vatsim servers and copy and paste one from near u, that solves all the problems. i had the same problem, glad to say its fixed now.

@oherregud - If you dont already know (forgive me if you do) the intire MCDU webpage is down hence why you cant connect to a server via the drop down list. Try doing a quick search for the list of the vatsim servers and copy + paste the server you require into the box in fsinn.
