For those who keep saying I'm a castlevania fan well I gotta say it does not seem that way. Any die hard fan would try the game and most likely like it if you havnt realized it yet its like the 21st century all games are in a 3D enviornment shoo I'm grateful cause they did'nt have to make the game . I'm a fan of the series since NES and this is exactly what I think of a 3d Castlevania should be.For the wolfs and wargs,we had them in the past games too,so I don't see the point of the "wolfhunter" like if it's was the only tipe of enemies in the game.It's like call Simon a "skeletonhunter".Burry the name?Who was killing the name was Igarashi,besides the haters of LoS are minority (thank God),and the Los is receiving great reviews.Castlevania is back.

I am a huge castlevania fan and this looks exactly like what a modern day 3D Castlevania game should look like.

Actually, it's better than I could have hoped for. The quality of the gameplay, graphics and storytelling is simply astounding. It looks better than GOW3, which everybody insists on comparing it to.

- Badass Belmont wielding a whip and whacking and killing stuff that would fit in horror movies.

- Castles.

- A whip.

- Dracula.

- Awesome music.

- From the demo, it plays like polished, upgraded and refined version of Lament of Innocence.

Seems castlevania enough to me.

Looks like an okay Action game, but it does´nt sound like Castlevania or look like it. It´s a darn shame since i love the franchise, but i think it´s time they bury the name. This isn´t Castlevania this is wolfhunter, it would probably be for the better if they changed the title :/

@UtsusuZero I liked SotN and would have loved to have seen a Metroidvania game by this company, but I'm satisfied with the direction of this game. I've been disappointed in the last crop of games and find this refreshing.

@thepezdispenser you do know that that is a demo right and that its basically like in the beginning of the game I'm sure you have played many games where you start off fighting an enemy and fighting that enemy along with other enemies in them of course theres gonna be werewolves cause you can't have vamps and not have werewolves

I don´t mind the werewolfs, i mind the music and the feel of the game. Just doesn´t seem that much like a castlevania game, espically not in the music department, which i think is one of the most important aspects of the series. Therefore i would probably have been more interested if it had been an entirely new IP instead. Now i´m going to play it with a feeling that something is missing, both with music and the numbers of items to collect.

What i´m trying to say: it seems to be a game inspired by castlevania more than it seems like a castlevania game, as if they try to cash in while they probably could have made a new awesome franchise instead. It might surprise me, i hope it does, but from all i´ve seen the feel is missing, which wouldn´t be weird since all the original people are missing.

@lightsamus88 How does this game stack up to all the others in this genre? I consider Bayonetta to be the best in this arena, and Golden Axe to be the worst. Is this game mindless hack and slash like GoW, or will it end up being deeper like others like Ninja Gaiden or Bayonetta?

@lightsamus88 The game's received little to no fanfare thus far, yet has alot of polish and ambition to it, such as the in-game travel book and bestiary. Even with what little I've seen of this game so far, it seems to look more promising than Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions, which was promoted incessantly in the months leading up to its release.
