  • This is my absolute favorite country song and has been ever since the first day I heard it <3

  • this song reminds me of my dad. he was the hardest working man ive ever met and everything i want to become. love you dad you are very missed

  • i love this song and you know what i combined for a month and misted at leasted 2 weeks of school so no body should ever complain.

  • I love this song and Jason Aldean.

  • I just gotta say that people that dont work on a farm dont see how hard it is.....they may get up early but so do farmers work from dawn till everythings done and ive seen people that dont work on a farm complain more that people that do and it ticks me off

  • such a true song a wake up at 3:30am shuvel pens before school and im 14 and work 7 days a week love it :)

  • I am a country girl who was raised on a 206 acre dairy farm and wouldnt trade that life for anything. I baled hay, threw silage, and scraped gutters. What more could I ask for? Nothing other than to have my farm. Farmer's Home foreclosed in 1989. I love my family and had to watch as my farm was sold out from underneath us. I left for the military and I wouldn't change a thing!!!! It made me who I am!!!

  • amerillo is spanish for yellow

  • do you think there is a moral obligation to save the family farm? I would love your opinions! thank you!!

  • @nikann18 No...no there isn't. Corporations are the only way to farm now and anybody who does it different is a fool. We'll eat you if you don't adapt. My father always says, the man with the deepest pockets and the most guts wins. I'd say he's right. One quarter at a time...just buy it all.

  • best song out there

  • New Favorite Song, even tho its 3 years old = )

  • the 4 that didnt like this are probably "gangsters"

  • amazing

  • what are you like two? blood and dirt is what built or country.

  • it's a American way of life, blood and dirt

  • @adamrizza

blood and dirt is more like africa. duh

  • @Liste10 no its not. If you were a farmer you would know. Dirt is everywhere, duh. When you are working, you sweat and at times, you bleed. Its not a simple job.

  • @kscountrypunk

    Im not a stupid farmer.

  • @Liste10 exactly, thats why your facts are wrong. and farmers are not stupid. where would you be without them? you would be naked and hungry, not to mention you would have no where to live. you would have no life. next time you see a farmer, thank them, dont just call them a stupid hillbilly. you have to get a college degree to farm nowdays, unless you want to spend a fortune on vet bills etc.

  • @kscountrypunk

Its just rediculous how they make such a big deal out of it. Like they were heros or something like that lol. They are just doing their fucking job which is not even difficult. Why create such an aura around this? I mean nobody makes songs for consultants and investment bankers. Those educations and jobs take much more brain and pain. But the farmers are basically celebrating their sillyness and simplicity. I mean who cares? Cant they do their job and shut up? They need to show.

  • @Liste10 I admit that bankers and lawyers etc have hard jobs, but farming isn't a job. It's a way of life. My dad works 14 hours a day and sometimes he gets up to check on animals. FARMING ISNT EASY. I hardly see my dad because he farms. Unless you ARE a farmer, you will never know. When one animal dies, its at least $1,000 out of your account. When you are a small business you cant afford it. Other people work 8 hrs and quit. We are tryin to make a statement in a world that dont wanna listen.

  • @Liste10 And in a way, they are heroes. Next time you see an old man that talks about his days of farming, dont laugh. He put food on your table and clothes on your back. There would be nothing in this world without farming. Good luck getting your own food.

  • @kscountrypunk

But they only provide basics which we can take for granted. The really interesting stuff is made by complex corporations.

  • @Liste10 and where would you be without those basics? the basics are just as hard if not harder than they complex corporations. The hardest part is you work longer hours and get less money than corporations. Try it, you won't last long. I'm stopping this convo now, if you want to talk more then send a message to me in my inbox, not here.

  • @kscountrypunk

Not a single farmer has to work as hard as a consultant or banker. Mental stress is much more exhausting than physical work.

  • @Liste10 tell you what. ill show you physical pain by running you over with a tractor. you can show me mental pain by making me think about getting run over by a tractor. both are painful, but we can see which is worse ;-)

  • to day is just to hard, but we have to hold on...

  • Im 16 years old and about a month ago i bailed 840 bails of hay was up by 5 am and it was in the 90s that day (very hot) didnt complain about it worked all day. And it makes me mad when people complain about getting up and having to be work by 8 and still complaining when they are in air-condition. IF YOU HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS 2 LIKE MY COMMENT!

  • @ivankilledyou HELL YEAH AND THE GOOD LORD KNOWS IT

  • I can smell fuel and oats outside from the combine right now harvesting the oates, which makes this song even better.

  • Love this song! And we need farmers! We wouldn't b anywhere without them! I'm currently hopin' 2 get a summer job on a farm! I hpe I gt it : )

  • This reminds me to be a proud country blue collar boy, might not farm but commercial fishing and land scape sure is hard work, not to mention fixing everything that breaks.

  • I loooove Jason Aldean's voice!

  • dont quit! The world depends on farming!!!!

  • rantoul ftw

  • I can't speak chinese to go over there and find an american job but seems that is our direction which is why I buy american I won't sell our a** out

  • i'm 16 years ago i'm drive my john deere and is not very easy and it's very hard make dollars

  • boy with corn at 7$ a bushel life is good

  • @brotality1 : Thats cause your a happy lil grain farmer! here i am a diary farmer, having to buy that corn for my cows and now i'm broke. I'm a 13 year old GIRL and I know more about farming more than anyone than you, j**kface. All you see is whats in your pocket and you don't give a sh*t. Hope you see this, don't cry I never warn you corn a**hole.

  • @PrincessSerenaMoon you go girl tell them how you fell dont let anything or one bring you down you are a good person and i thank you when drinking my glass of milk

  • Comment removed

  • @brotality1 do you not realize that that comes down the line? you have corn prices high, so your pocket is full. I'm a dairy farmer that has to buy that corn for feed, so my pocket is empty. It's people like you that help ruin this country. Think about others for a change. I do believe there is a medium price where everyone can be happy. I don't have to be rich, but I think my dad should be able to pay the bills. YOU JUST GOT BURNED BY A TEENAGE GIRL! XD

  • I'm 15 and this song is so true. I live on the farm. There are times I have to skip school to work because we just don't have the money right now. We only have 10 acres and it's hard. But its awesome to be able to work on the farm and just work with my hands everyday.

  • This is all we sothern boys know,if your like me then all you do is farm, eat, sleep, and go to church not much else the only time i have between farming and going to church is sunday evening where all i do is check on my animals then its just me my wife and a bottle of red wine.....thats the life i think everyone should live the world would be a whole lot easier if everyone did....

  • @dreadnot5454 i wish my live whas like that mate

  • @dreadnot5454 Not a farmer myself, but live in very rural area where loads of farmers live and work and hate everytime I hear it as southern thing...Idaho is mostly farm land. Kinda funny too, cuz everytime I hear a generalization of southern ppl or Texasans 90% of ppl I know and love fall in that. Idaho...can't get any more farm town or north.

  • Thank you, Jason, for showing once again why country is the music that best relates the feelings, thoughts and worries of the common folk, far away from the glamor, the violence and the frivolity that so many so-called artists glorify these days.

  • this song has no relation to me, but it has a good meaning and i love the song, i listen to it in competion fourwheeler mudding:)

  • I can't explain why I love this song.

  • cept at 2:46 people with common sense dont try to pick up a tire tht big just to move it right next to them. country people dont try to kill there backs intentionally by doing things like tht, cuz they already do tht unintentionally

  • I knw exactly wut this song means. every word. good song

  • @hatcher91 I hope he can see how much you care and gives you your chance

  • @hatcher91 your folks probably just want to see you be more prosperous than farming- unless your going to farm marijuana, you will probably be rich then....lol
