  • The little Hyosung really earning her keep....

    Good video..

  • @teamfab The ZX10 and the HYO left the rest of the group, me included, for dead. Goes to show what a well setup bike and a great rider can accomplish

  • This video really shows how cheaply the Hyosung is made....... the instrument cluster looks ready to either fall off or just fall apart where it is!

  • @armigerlives Not really. The instrument cluster on that bike was attached by a temporary mount, while the permanent one was being machined. We actually decided to completely replace the stock gauges. We went with a easier to read aftermarket KOSO unit. I never liked those stock gauges.

That mount actually broke that day and we needed to pull a McGuiver to finish the weekend

  • @cyclesportstv So I'm not seeing things the whole thing was moving more than it should have. I ride a '03 Z1000 and like most bikes the quality of the gauges and whatnot is quite good. All the Hyosungs I have looked at scream that they are made on a very very tight budget. How are the engines though? Any reliability issues?

  • Lee can really ride!

  • i dont buy into the whole "liter bikes are heavier" idea.

Its something small bike guys say to feel fast.

  • @jowek70 It has less to do with weight and more to do with Gyroscopic forces created by the additional mass of a litre bike and it's motor

  • what ever bikes u hv.....enjoy...born to ride.....

  • very smooth gear changes i noticed

  • @vaestanfors The rider is very smooth in general. Lee Parks of Total Control Training, has been teaching people how to be better riders for years. It's amazing what he can do on two wheels

  • which road is this?

  • Rider skill is paramount in situations like this. Weather it's a car or bike. This is an example of w well handling low HP motorcycle keeping up, in the turns, with a far more powerful bike. The rider of the ZX10 is also a very fast rider and club racer. He just didn't feel the need to do 160 down the straights on public roads. On a straightway, the ZX10 would have left the little Hyo in the dust. The Hyo was able to keep up in the corners though.

  • @cyclesportstv learn how to spell whether.. ?

    retard.

  • any turbo sports car would beat these guys...a trip what elevation does on n/a.I hate high elevation!!

  • @wellshii

    No sir.

It takes a lotta car and a lotta driver to beat a little bike.

Only way any turbo car is beating a rider up a twisty mountain road is if you put Keith Code on a ninja 500r and Marco Andretti in a f430. And even then im putting my money on Keith :P lol

  • I meant like in a straight away .my bad for not specifing@MikeW259

  • @wellshii

thats what car guys say to feel fast, bikes are decades ahead of cars man, get real.

  • I've had a hyosung 650 and an r6s and a mustang gt.I know what's what capable of ,especially on straight road as I mentioned.my r6 was a ten second flat bike, but come 130 the speed just slowed dramtically.any 600 horsepower car would take me on the top past 100.I am real, and they are not decades ahead, fuel injection pretty recently came out for bikes..so to correct you cars are decades ahed of bikes.btw,I'm both a car and bike guy.two very fun different roads@jowek70

  • Basicly you have a rider on the powerful bike who does not have the skill or confidence to give it some grunt in the corners. It's the better rider not the bike that makes the difference. Hence the hyosung catching up in the corners. Swop riders and watch the zx blow away the hyosung

  • You couldn't be more wrong! LOL The rider on the ZX10 is a very fast but safe rider and former racer. If he wanted to pull away in the straights, he could have easily. 160hp vs 65hp. He chose not to act a fool and rip down the straights at 150mph.

The rider of the Hyosung is Lee Parks, former championship racer and now one of the top instructors in the world. The demonstration shows that you don't need 160hp to be fast in the turns. You do need a great handling bike and riding skills!

  • @cyclesportstv 65hp? You mean 60KWs?

  • @cyclesportstv A very enjoyable video, the wee Hyosung just having a ball, just what bikings all about, well done..

  • @teamfab The little HYO was pushed hard and asked for more.

  • Dash vibrates a bit. . . Then again who looks at it, its the taco that counts!

  • The Dash has since been replaced. It was actually on a temporary mount that broke on that ride. Check out the Track video of the Hyosung to see the cool new gauges

  • elevation kills

  • I just bought the Gt650r. its restricted for learner atm. still pretty quick....but cant wait to get the full power out of it.

  • They don't have restricted 650s here in the states. From what I understand it is a big difference in power.

  • @p35neo2 Mate pull out the restrictor at about 1000k, dont worry about the learner stuff, as long as it has LAMS on the build plate, cops cant tell unless its dyno'd (or you get caught at over 200kph). Fenominal amount of difference. 2nd Gear power wheelie.

  • Pull out the restrictor?...i was told new slides need to be purchased. (its an 06)

IF i dont need to buy anything.... how is it removed?

  • The suspension on this thing is great...now...not so great stock. Next to no damping up front with very light springs, way too much damping in rear. I weight 295 and the bike now handles incredibly well. Thanks to Race Tech. Huge improvement over stock

  • agree with most of the comments the hyo was working hard but and the adverage suspension showed up good ride guys you should see our new zealand back roads but.

  • great riding and its great to see people looking for where trouble can come from

  • geil, einfach nur geil!!!

  • Translation?

  • TOP, TOP Video, 5Stars!

  • vtwin will make plenty of torque.

I hate the design of a vtwin but they are damn good engines. proof here.

  • Hey how do you like that Hyo? I've been thinking of maybe really getting one. Do you have any complaints? Are parts hard to get since not too many people know about these bikes? And yes nice riding, looks like a fun area to enjoy.

  • It is a great starting point. It's what you would expect quality wise for a bike like this and you have to do some upgrades as your skills progress. This one has a full Race Tech Suspension with custom rear shock. It handles great! Now I have to upgrade the so so brakes

  • Great, where do you get all your parts from, online? This will be my first bike and would like to know where to get parts for my Hyo when something goes bad. LOL

  • i got the hyo 125 ersion tis the tits

  • Nice riding. The lead rider is clearly good, and I like how you both ride fast without being stupid. Too many riders are fast and stupid, but not for very long! That 7:35 deer would have been a big deal if you guys just pinned the throttle on every straight bit, esp w/ the inevitable overheated brakes that go along. Fun to watch, although that shaky ass cluster on the Hyosung gave me a headache. Cheers!

  • I'm glad you noticed that the riding was fast but not reckless. Our group of riders is actually very safety oriented and we always stay well within our limits. The gauge setup on the Hyo was a temporary mock up bracket. We converted it to a naked bike and need a temporary mount. It was never intended for that type of use...BTW the mount broke at the end of the day (200 miles later)

I'm glad you enjoyed the video

  • I am in a cool video, this is great! To bad I am just standing there with my helmet and gear on and not talking in the beginning.
