there is another version of Maria. an artist of deviantart make an awesome story with illustration were dr.Eggman make a clone of Maria.the machine that he use was from the ark,so inside it there is dna of Shadow(if the machine was used for him)or of Sonic(because he could have touch the machine in sa2),so the clone is a cross between a human and a hegehog.the story is called"the return of maria robotnik",its isn't yet complete.read it is amazing!

Back on topic, definitely hedgehog form. It probably wouldn't matter much to Shadow; he loved her spirit regardless. But aesthetically Maria looks better in her fictional form...her human design is just a little bit too "Alice in Wonderland".

Knux: Well... Technically, Maria as a Hedgehog isn't a real character. She's a popular fanbase character, while the human girl is canon. But that doesn't mean I can't like the hedgehog version better. xD I don't really like any of the humans in the Sonic universe except for Dr. Eggman, which is the only one who really belongs there in my opinion. xD So portraying any of the human characters as a Mobian/Furry type makes them more likeable to me. ^_^
