For pitty sake, somone put Bobbie Gentry in the songwriters hall of fame. O.T.B.J- 100 covers and near 50 million in record sales. Fancy- a dozen covers and over 20 million records sold and master jazz pianist, Bill Evans, turned her composition,' Mornin'Glory' into a signature song on his historic, Live In Toyko' album . Add to that a dozen other covered songs and its quite an acomplishment for a female singer-songwriter of this era.
Wayne Moore was the bass player as well and nobody ever mentions him too much. He also worked with them as Gary Paxtons studio band. My dad Jack Reeves got them the job at Nashville West. They are all great musicians.
I Would Also Like To Add That Wayne Moore Was In This Band, As Well... It Wasn't Just Gene, Clarence, And Gib. Wayne Was The Bassist For The Group.

Definitely not clarence.. but if it is, then it's the worst, most repetitive and bland i've ever heard him play.
Hmm..looking at those 3 typed adjectives... it's definitely NOT clarence.

This reminds me so much of the great Gabor Szabo, all drone-like and what not. Nice rendition-
