  • Ok il take that back

  • Nice easy at least for me

  • well, that was impossible. thanks for the crap instructions

  • I would say this is a nice pelican but not the one that's diagrammed in birds in origami by john montroll (because it get's folded otu of a fish base and u use a preliminary fold )

  • how come at the beginning, it says "...by john montroll"

but the website is for robert lang? lol.

  • @MeLikeCheetoes Nice catch! Check johnmontroll(dot)com

  • @boffyful Not so far. Is there something you think would be quite fitting for father's day? Maybe I can do something for Father's Day, too.

  • you're doing an awesome job Sara! keep them comming! =)

  • oof that's hard, I messed up and salvaged the paper by making a crane instead, I suppose I can try again and if i fail 999 more times I'll just wish for an origami pelican!

  • this rocks

  • Thanks for posting this. Sometimes it's hard to follow the diagrams in John's books. These videos make it much clear.

  • great model...pretty easy but it looks great...moving on...thx for the vid btw

  • hey could you show an instructional on the origami dog by John Montroll

  • i think its cool!

  • never mind i got it

  • need help around 2:05

  • Firts of all Sara, Congratulations on your recent marriage. I see you are now wearing a wedding band in many of your video's, so sometime since before Christmas 07 and now, you've gotten married. I've tried following you 5 times now in this model, but I'm lost between about 1:10 and 1:18; the mountain fold. Just don't understand this step. And then when you do the second one, I get lost again. Guess I better find an easier one. I love John's Montroll's stuff though.

  • @smitty747 Yeah, I have to say I'm a bit lost there too! Mind you, the pressure of a three year old waiting for his pelican over your shoulder is just too unbearable!

  • @Schiclebum Now I get it, any other dougheads with the same issue, watch 1:20 closely, the trick is not to pull the corner over but to concentrate on folding down the top edge. Duh!

  • I love your videos. They've helped me to make a number of pieces now. This is a cute model, though maybe not one of your better videos. I'm not saying it's bad by any means - your hands just seemed to get in the way more often than usual. Oh well. With a few encore viewings, this model doesn't seem like it would be terribly difficult to do anyway, so all's well. Nice work!

  • Thanks for this. Well, it's one of my earlier videos (2 July 2007), so I agree that the recording isn't as good as it could be.

  • you're the best you've made lots of good videos

  • i like your hands ^^

  • i made it ty!

  • what size paper relpy

  • In the video I used a 20cm square. You can easily use a 15cm square for your first fold, though. I prefer 15cm squares, actually, but chose to use bigger paper so you could see what I'm doing more nicely in the video.

  • i love your work you should be famous Ms or Mrs Sara

  • I 'll try that too. =))
