  • Man Thats awesome, I wished someone like you would buy my fc

  • its like a poor man's 944

  • @maikeru01 It's like a smart mans 944

  • It's cool u should drop it so low and put negative camber on front and back wheels

  • The kit is the imsa widebody, originally it was sold through cpracing in canada. They turned out to be a pretty shady company... The kit is now available through black dragon auto aka Victoria British. Just be prepared to spend alot of money at a body shop. I was lucky to buy a rolling chassis with all the body work professionally done, the previous owners father owned a body shop.

  • Hey dans young I wan a know what's the name of that body kit? I want it so bad for my fb! Ghana

  • i think i remember this build on rx7club.com. glad to see it get this far

  • good job, what kind of wide body is it?

  • How much has the whole project cost? Probably about 50-60, 000 Canadian dollars.

  • ME ENCANTA DIOS TE LO DEJE GOSAR SIEMPRE MAZDISTA HASTA LA MUERTE..

  • How much did it cost you?

  • It's a one off setup made by someone in Norway. It's based off a fc eastbear kit.

  • Hey man, where did u get the headlight conversion??

  • thanx dansyoung for the song

all legendary drift cars should be with you dude

  • Welcome to the machine - pink floyd

  • isn't there anybody knows the name of song? Dudes?

  • by the way, nice car good work

  • please oneof you should write name of song

  • I wonder if this is the same as the arches used on the Group B RX7's? Would make a nice replica.

  • did u do all the work yourself. i have a rx7 85

  • now thats a true project

    great job

    widebody is hot

  • those rims are just jizzz!!

  • Godamn, that looks pretty nice. Shitty music tho

  • turned out to be really sick.. i see why people think its a porsche. and i like how you converted it to five lug and put those deep ass rims on, good call.

  • looks good!!!

    nicely done!!!

the people says that they dont like it.....their just jealous.

  • Why you buy this widebody? Widebody makes the car ugly. Nice engine.

  • @cobratoxic I bought car as a rolling chassis with the kit already professionally installed. It was cheaper to buy this rolling chassis, than it was to paint my old RX7 showed in the start of the video. The look of the widebody really grows on you, and it's something you don't see around at all. 90% of the people who have seen this car, have absolutely no idea what it is. I've had "corvette, porsche, batmobile, etc etc" many times.

  • @Dansyoung yeah i could see people saying 944 porsche?

  • @cobratoxic I have to agree with Dansyoung, the widebody gives it more of a J-spec racing look than anything else. At first I hated the look, but I guess it depends what kind of car you want. I may consider it after I get all the engine work done on my FB.

  • what is the name of the song

  • nice ride nice wheels to whats the name brand of the wheels im looking for that kind please hit me back.

  • very sexy car man looks pretty amazying... and u no when u opened that beast of a turbo u just wanted to make love to it lol...

  • Good job man that's really nice car you got

  • ur so smart with the examples of the cd and coke can, more ppl should do that !!!

  • wow! amazing project! how do ya'll have the money for this!??!?!?!

  • @fuzzygokoss I was still living with my parents (started the project when I was 19 years old) didn't really have any big bills. Was working as a mechanic apprentice so I was making pretty good money and could do all the work myself. Just built it up slowly over time, one pay cheque at a time.

  • @Dansyoung its nice to hear that cuz im doing pretty much the exact same thing lol

  • @Dansyoung its nice to hear that b'cuz i'm 18 and im pretty much doing the same exact thing except w/ a wrx.. thanks for the inspiration

  • @Dansyoung its nice to hear that b'cuz i'm 18 and im pretty much doing the same exact thing except w/ a wrx.. thanks for the inspiration

  • (hit send button too early sorry)Or did you refinish it yourself? I

  • (hit send too early sorry) ...or did you refinish them yourself? And for project minus the body kit roughly how much did you spend? Not trying to be rude but I'm wanting to build one myself and was curious how much? I was thinking 5-7 grand(depending on the price of the car)?

  • @bwomp969 The old parts are all off of my old RX7 I had before I bought the widebody rolling chassis. Your estimate is way on the low side, I went way over the top with this build. In total I have about 60k into the car. The rear end was about $3000 alone, I did all of the work myself except the paint/body work. The engine is highly modified, and that is where alot of money was spent as well.

  • Where in the world did you find the replacement interior parts?

  • Nice!!!! Freaking drooling over rx7's now, im picking up a FC S4 next week can't wait

  • that is a sick car i am restoring my dads 83 and i was woundering what rims r those. How fast is your car?

  • @hdalltheway44

The rims are CCW classic 3 piece about $750 each if I remember correctly. The TII swap will make an FB fly, but I have gone above and beyond that with upgrade the TII. The car is 320 rwhp on low boost (10 psi), with 15 psi it should be just over 400 rwhp. Haven't taken it to the track or anything like that yet but on high boost I am hoping it will run a 11 second quarter mile.

  • One word, very impress you are clearly an amazing car freak/beast! just a curious thought how much did you spend on the body? please respond quickly as possible i'm making a car choice right now and i'm not to sure which car should i chose for a project, but after seeing this video it has motivated me to get a rx7, Thanks for uploading a great video yours truly, James.

  • @honeymuffin123

James, I bought the rolling chassis off a friend of mine, it was in rough shape as far as the interior and had no drivetrain. If I remember correct I paid around 2500 for the body with all the body work already completed. The RX7 is a really good platform to start a build from they have alot of potential. Hope that helps!

  • wow man. im so jelious right now of this project. i have a 82 12a. but ill never be able to do what you obveusoly did to completely restore this car, one day i hope to have my car as nice as you have restored this one to :)

  • nice build no doubt. i love the way it looks. how deep are the lips on those rims????

  • @ph03nYx69

The rear rims have 5.5-6" of lip, deffinately could go slightly larger as well. 17X12 wheels in the back right now, but could probally squeeze 17x14, but the issue is finding tires that large.

  • i want to make sweet love to your car!

  • dude what song is this.....

i know its pink floyd but what is it called?

  • Is it me or when you look to the side of it, it looks like a porche in some ways.

  • That's cool, I don't think I ever saw pictures of the car before you started working on it...

  • Car made 320 RWHP on low boost (10 psi), have to work out a few bugs and upgrade the rear iron and the boost can be increased to 15 psi for 400+ RWHP

  • Pink floyd my favorite band...!!!!!

  • Cool car you built. How's it looking now? I've built something similar down here in Australia. Rotors 4 Life.

  • Dude This car is a beaut

  • what is a granny`s rear end?....XD

    no..seriously??? XD

  • wow... sexy ass car.

  • did you by this car in north carolina???

  • No, it's a canadian car.

  • hey man send me a privet mesg. iv been looking for alot of those parts and i dont really know where to look and iv been looking for a long time please if you can point me in the right direction

    Derek

  • i am not big on the whole wide body but.. damn bro give you props that is some seriouse stuff you did. love the insperation =D

  • What parts would you recommend i buy first on performance for my 1987 rx7? its a GXL so it's the non turbo one and it has fuel injection problems, but other that that it runs ok. fyi iits automatic and i hope to be makin it standard soon.

  • this is inspiration to get workin on my shell

  • same here

  • you should get a granny's rear end , dirrect bolt in :) youll be in the low 10's

  • Thats what the car already has in it ;) I am doubtful i will be able to run a low 10 with the current turbo on it though.

  • Oh man your in the mix , i have a freind that has a t2 motor on his first gen with the same rear end and he's doing hight tens . and my brother has a second gen with a grand national motor in it all stock doing 11.03 all day . enjoy and i hope you do 10's all day .

  • looks like something mad maxx would drive.

  • i spy a pineappleracing engine stand adapter. bad ass car!!! i wonder what an fc version would look like? what kind of driving is this gonna be used for...its a little tall for my liking though.

  • This car is mostly going to be used as a street car that I can take to the drag strip once and a while. The ride height in the pictures has been changed a bit, I lowered the rear of the car down about 3 inches and for the front I am going to get coilovers eventually. Just my main priority is getting it on the road at this point.

  • well keep up the good work hopefully it will go smooth for you

  • This car is unsafe..you need to send it to me for....for......uhh....proper disposal lol....Wink wink lol

  • Hey bro Ive seen ur picture's at canadian rx7..show car part. mine is the Black jdm Fd right under yours// nice work man it's nice to hear your engine running solid

  • Yah, ran out of pictures and it's such a long song lol. Thank you!

  • Thank you! I have a few things appart on the car right now in order to make sure it's completely ready for tuning in February. But when it gets tuned I will be sure to take much better videos of it running. The two I took with it idling are with incorrect maps and an ignition problem that I have since fixed.

  • that thing gave me chills very sick man. post up vids of it running

  • Thank you! Goes for tuning in february
