Last I played this was in beta. Stopped after they wanted to charge me 50UK to continue. If it's F2P and appears to have been improved graphically, I'll give it another go. 8)

@KlokwerkSolja in a minor note...me and my friends in my fleet,,,we have been playing since relase and well...we didn't know till. 1/13/12 that there is a option called half resolution that is ON by DEFAULT...turn it off and it clears the game up very well.

You know what, the concept of GAMEPLAY trailer should involve actual gameplay not a cinematic clip. Its so obvious that the title is meant to generate more views at the expense of people who actually want to play the game. Do your job and gives us videos of the ACTUAL gameplay or you will lose subscribers... tired of listening to the jerky, squealing voices of teenagers playing nice games because so many gaming channels have so little gaming content.

Actually tried it, ground combat is completely awful. Ship combat could be somewhat fun i suppose but those naval battle style games have never been my thing.

@TheTurkBrah I agree,this game licks.It feels like it was designed by accountants.It doesnt matter how detailed the character building or ship management is,the space combat totally sucks,the ground combat totally sucks.this is the game=warp to sector,warp to system,blow up ships in boring combat with no damage modeling,no collisions,scan,beam to planet/sat/station,kill group of enemies,scan console,back to ship,kill more enemies,mission over.time=2hrs,satisfaction=0.­Cryptic shouldnt do ST.

People are sometimes more willing to pay $5-$15 for a cool in game pet or awesome mount, or special premium service because it makes them feel like they're getting something special. I remember paying like $30 one month in a game for Premium Service and a mount. When it comes to subscriptions, you feel like you arn't getting anything special out of it. That's why F2P yeilds more money, the Psychology of it all.
