  • Lauren has some nice, strong, incredibly muscular legs!! So beautiful---WOW! Yes, a ton of adjectives. I know. Do most vball girls have legs like this?

  • I have to compete for the position of setter with a new girl on my volleyball team. It's her first year ever playing volelyball and it's my third! I think it's really unfair that I have to compete for it but her older sister is an Amazing setter, so she is good at it. This video helped me alot and now i feel a lot better about setting(:

  • will i grow taller if i play VOLLEYBALL regularly ?

  • @TheLeilisa nah i've been playing for 41/2 years, I'm only 12 but im 5ft. 31/2 inches tall

  • @TheLeilisa maybe... i heard u can grow in advance like 8-6 centimeters... can't really tell if thats real

  • @sugimah thanks you there is this product named " helpo growth formula" i ve been using it for months and actually see the difference.

  • @TheLeilisa are u sure its the formula and your not just growing on your own it really seems unnecessary to me to take a product to get taller

  • @xoxAnnaVidsxox it is the product cuz im done growing years ago. It does not work on everybody but im lucky it worked

  • She has great sets !

but her thunder thighs might slow her down in game situations where there are bad passes : (

  • I have free working tips to grow taller add me !

  • Wow. She's a great setter!

  • Setters are the best ! (:

  • im a setter

  • Wait if Im left handed do I step with my left?

  • @JJaravata no, you have to stand on your head and do it the same way. it's the rules.

  • Lift. Lift. Lift.

  • holy fuck the girl is so muscular. -.-

  • volleyballtalk.webs.com

  • lol she always "stepped into it with her right" when the coach was talking about it, only to be forgotten a few sets afterwards... re re

  • Kurwa ona koszyczka nawet nie potrafi zrobic... Z czym do ludzi, kciuki maja byc ustawione do siebie prosto i razem w palcami wskazujacymi tworzyc trojkat!

  • Checkout UCLA's 3 Time NCAA champ Stein has to say about setting!

  • nice:)

    great sets!!

    their so smooth

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH! that help alot

  • Bardzo podstawowe informacje...

    Very simple :P

  • Any thoughts on contacting the ball with 3 or 5 fingers? I've typically use 3, but then again, I'm hardly a resource for good setting. I do have fairly small hands as well.

  • She would use a 2L bottle of pop as a setting reference...

  • Man, she's smooth !!

  • great sets :)

  • yeah i wish i could be setter on my volleyball team but they put me as an outside hitter

  • This should help me not jam my thumbs every practice

  • thxx<3

  • people, you have to remember that every coach has a different method and just cause someone learned diff. doesnt mean they are doing it wrong...sheesh

  • excellent setting it's the best i've ever seen

  • hmmm....if you have lots of exp. playing volleyball,(three years at the least)can you message me on how to set? i about 13 and right now i have 3 jammmed fingers from setting.

  • wrong technic Use use wrist & leg she is just pushing /slapping volleyball like a armature.

rht tec- Bend a little make a window shape . allow to rest the 4 little while (just a soft touch, avoiding lifting )

& then use your power from ur wrist & legs this tec give greater control over ball

  • whenever I set I always hear a thump and it's not really good. how can I sort of "catch" the ball for that split second?

  • Note: that your fingers should be shaped "like a diamond". But, still it should have that 2-ltr. bottle distance. So, you would in a way be looking through a window when the ball comes. Also, Don't attack the ball, let it come to you so that all you have to do is get underneath it and "Flick" it back. Like she said watch the legs too.

  • She has the most gorgegous sets! This helped me learn a lot!

  • you neeeeed to keep your arms bent more. it makes the set a lot higher, therefore making it easier to make a spike approach and spike.

  • wrong, power should come from your legs and wrists.

  • no duh, but it helps if you keep your arms bent and jump. i play volleyball. so thanks.

  • NICE SETS

  • Theyre so fat..?

  • The end position, it's hard to keep your hands out.

I was tought, order 10 beer. But there are a hell of a lot of people in front of the bar. So you have to stretch out to show the guy that you want !!10!! beer. All fingers spreaded out and keep them up.

  • i was taught to user my thumg, index n middle finger to set only its way easier

  • she aint jumping!!! your sposed to jump all the time when you set.

  • umm not really....

  • You obviously don't play volleyball.

  • I heard that you should have straight arms before the ball touches your hands. Is that right?

  • You can have almost straight arms. If you watch college setters they dont set from their forehead. They set with the ball up and away from them a little bit.

  • nice

  • another hint i heard of: when you are righthanded, put your left leg in front

when you are a lefty, put your right leg in front

that way, your body will compensate the strenght of your superior arm and your set will be more accurate

  • See I was always told that youre supposed to always step with your right foot no matter what, because if you step with your left foot it is easier to over set

  • over set as in set the other side lol

  • Yeah, instead of setting on a serve, you can use a "poke". it's not as accurate, but it's a lot better than killing your hands.

  • I have some more tips:

    1. From your position, stay low and get there as fast as you can.

    2. Stop in a coiled position, right foot infront, and bent knees.

    3. For a back set, do a regular setting position, but push your hips forward, and the ball with set back.

    4. Also, FOLLOW THROUGH! Don't go half of the way, even on a middle court set. It works 100% times better.

Hope this helped too. Thanks :)

  • also on a back set, don't bend your head back to watch the ball. Just trust your hands.

  • dang i want her setting for me. my setters horrible, most of the time i have to run back to spike it

    ahhhh

  • Sarah's right cos i settin on a serve && it hurt soooo bad !

  • oh my gosh yes it does.... i have jammed so many fingers doing that cause the ball always comes fast

  • i was only looking at her legs =)

  • Use it when its either the second or the third hit on your side. You want the pass to be high, and not too low. If you can't Get under the ball, then you should bump.

Rules of setting that I have experienced:

    1. Do NOT set on a serve, it's painful :P

    2. If its not high enough, don't risk it.

    3. Set to other temmates, instead of setting it over to the other side, its more better to pass the ball on your side, unless if its the 3rd hit.

Hope this helped :) Thanks :)

  • agree never ever ever set when served you can jam your finger or what ever and it hurts i tired it trust me

  • thank you! i jammed my thumb last week thursday reeeeally bad that i cried and couldn't play for the whole week until it got better yesterday! i now have to use tape from now on and not set the serves. but it's much easier to set serves, especially when it comes fast! well thanks.

  • @SaxonSarah Wait if Im left handed do I step with my left?

  • @SaxonSarah this really helps thanks alot

  • @SaxonSarah Actually it is far better to set a serve, it is easier to control and more accurate. You just need to practice it doesnt hurt after you do.

  • @SaxonSarah don't mind if i do some adjustments cuz i'm a pretty good setter myself:P u don't want the set to be too high , u want it to be at the limit and fast... if it's a float serve, setting can help beacouse u can control the serve's effect if you're a setter u MUST ALWAYS GET TO THE BALL , or at least 95% of them Sometimes u can set the ball very low and fast to the oponent's court to make a surprise, very often that is a point:P Keep up the good work!:P

  • @SaxonSarah If any of my players refuse to receive a float serve with their hands, they will not be receiving serves until they learn how to do it. Get more of your hands on the ball, and don't push out until the ball is touching your hands. If you try to 'attack' the ball and hit it out of the air before it's in your hands, the result can be pain and loss of control. Push it back out, don't hit it.

  • @SaxonSarah

for #2, my coach has told us to use our hands as much as possible, this gives us more control and we're less likely to shank a ball, so bend down and get low and use your hands, if you do it right, you won't risk a thing.

  • @SaxonSarah Actually you should try to take more serves with your hands in order to make the pass more acurate...theres not much use in trying to bump a serve coming at your head :P . Also you want to take as many balls with your hands as possible; Setting is a skill if you just bump set the whole time they could replace you with nearly anyone else out on the court. Its also more acurate to set with your hands, which is why you'll see setters goin as far as to fall on there knees to hand set

  • stop drinking all that coke. your both fat

  • when do you use fundamentals of setting???sorry im going to play next year, so i kinda wanna know some stuff...lol

  • hahaa

  • seriously thank you SO much. I could not set until now thank you!!!!

  • thanks this really helped! because i play volleyball but my main weakness is setting! so thanks!(:

  • this is a really good video

  • pretty gay n inaccurate

  • only if they're good.

  • yea!! setters rule

  • heck yes they do!! but it is alot of accuracy
