This is great. Glad it's on youtube, because aside from the 2-VHS set and Laserdisc, you will never see the individual band performances due to licensing and rights issues. The newer DVD only had the tribute performances.

i remember watchin the concert on the day and thinking.......Extreme took note of what Queen themselves did at Live Aid.......they stole the show in pure Queen style with a perfect well thought out set.....

They made a real effort to honour the occasion, I suspect their set was such because they were the only band musically capable of pulling off the 'complete Queen' set.

What's amazing is in this medley is beyond the obvious song choices, Nuno throws in part of the solo from Dead on Time during Keep Yourself Alive and the solo from Dancer in Another One Bites the Dust. I don't even know if the guys from Extreme realized how perfectly they captured the essence of Queen that night.

@tompo010101 I do, I do. People say Extreme's mixture of funk and metal was inspired by Aerosmith, because both bands are from Queen. However, I detect a bigger Queen influence. Roger, Brain, and John must've felt the same way. Extreme were probably were big fans of Hot Space, and thought we can mix funk and rock like Queen did on that album.
