I Downloaded Some Fonts From Dafont Dot Com But They Wont Work In Gimp. Like They Will Let Me Use Them At All . Why Is That ?

@MrBadbilly123 Hi Men,

After You download the fonts have You installed them correctly in your operatin system?

In windows go to the fonts folder ( C:\WINDOWS\Fonts ),

then go to the File menu and choose install new font.

After this Open Gimp...

Go to the fonts windows on gimp and you must find all your fonts.

If You have already done this steps... try this

Close Gimp

Copy the fonts that You need on:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\.gimp-2.6\fo­nts

Where USERNAME is the name for the user of the PC ( In case there are more then one user on your pc... You... your brothers etc )

Open Gimp

This will force Gimp to update the font cache.

Hi TeaMDuTcHProductions,

You must install the font as you usualyy do in your sistem.

Go to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts

then go to File _ Install New Font

After this run Gimp use the text-tool and choose your new font from the dropdown menù!

Gimp use the font installed on your system there is not other things to do ^_^
