I cannot believe tht the new Harry Potter movie has already been found online so early on! My buddy and I found the movie at watch harry potter. us (no spaces).
@miniblairwarldorfs a one day ticket is $79 for Islands of Adventure and b/c you can do Harry Potter and the REST of the amazing park I say it's well worth the money
@geekstar9 not sure of the exact prices, but it I remember thinking the prices seemed fair. We got our friend HP stationary, a wax seal set and a book of HP stamps and I believe that was about $50
Was there anything you were disappointed with? I'm a bit annoyed that the wands are plastic. They should let you choose between real wood and plastic (plastic for little kids, etc). If I wanted a plastic wand, I could buy one off the website. If I want a wooden one, I can have my grandpa make me one for free. Bit silly.
@OrlandoSmiles That is a bummer. I was really hoping for a lot of the Weasley Wizard Wheezes and their other prank things, especially the ones in the book. I mean, how hard would it be to make extend-able ears or instant darkness powder?
Seems like there's a lot to be seen the in lines for the rides. Do you think it would be possible to just go through the lines to see all the stuff and not ride the rides?
It seems there's a lot of stuff I need to see in the lines for the rides. What are the odds that they'll let us go through the lines to see all the stuff without riding the ride?
@woahmygodliz hmmmm well I'm pretty sure as with any ride you can chose to wait in line and then when you get to the ride tell the host you're not interested in riding. I did hear a rumor that there's going to be a line just to walk through the attraction, but I'm not positive about that one!
I'm so stupidly excited to go to the park. I'm going to Infinitus 2010 so I'll be dressed up in my robes with all the other Potter fans and it'll be AMAZING. You just made me look forward to it even more!
@saraxisxillogical Hard to say....just personnal preference :-) I always thought frozen coke was better then real coke. And frozen is soooo good when it's hot outside!
you guys just made me super excited!!! I live in Orlando. I wont be there for the soft openings but I will there june 18. When I get there Im going to get a wand.
Did the wands interact with the park? Some reports aid that they do, but they were from a while ago. An example is making the Hogwarts Express have steam
Hi, how did the Ollivanders Wand experience work? Was there just one man in the 'room' and was there a big a queue outside of his shop etc. thanks :P?
Hi, how did the Ollivanders Wand experience work? Was there just one man in the 'room' and was there a big a queue outside of his shop etc. thanks :P?
@mluf23 There is one man in the room and they take a good number (15ish) of people into the room at a time. One person gets to do the experience of having the wand choose them. There was quite a long line outside the door yes. Again this was what happened on Monday. Not sure how it will work once it's open officially.
@mluf23 There was only one man running Ollivanders and there was a queue outside the store. They would take a group in at a time and choose one person out of the group to have the wand experience. I'm not sure what they are going to do when they park officially opens.

i cant wait for this to open. as a HUGE potter fan and a Florida resident, i have been visiting universal frequently to see the construction. almost like i saw it become what it is now.. but i was wonder, can u tell us how much the wands cost?
What were the seats like for the different rides? I'm kind of worried about it since I'm rather tall (around 5'9") plus I'm larger than your average person, I'm afraid I won't fit. xD I'm not sure if you even got to ride any of the rides, but if you could tell me what they were like that would be awesome! P.S. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY WAND!
thanks for answering! :) what a tease to not ride but enter the castle! im getting in early on june 1st, i just hope they allow us to ride the forbidden journey before june18 and not just give us a walk through
Very nice video guys! Makes me so much more excited to visit the park this summer. I was wondering if the wands in Ollivander's are actually made of wood (eg. hazel like you mentioned) or plastic with wood finish. Thanks!
@OrlandoSmiles Hi Caleb here is the order of rooms in the line for Forbidden Journey inside Hogwarts: You enter in the dungean where you can over hear portions class going on. You can also see the magical mirror where Harry saw his parents in the first book/movie. Then you go outside into the greenhouse which is rather large. Then you go inside and see the entrance to Dumbeldore's office.Next you enter a hall with two interactive paintings.
@OrlandoSmilesInside the paintings is an old teacher of portions who talks to the crowd. He comments on Harry and how he doesnt't like the kids in sliverin. Then into the Griffindor common room which is pretty small and weirdly shaped. They only have one stair way going up to the boys dormitory, but no stairwell for the girls. Nor a fireplace.
@OrlandoSmilesNext you enter the dark arts classroom where Harry, Ron, and Hermiane are. They discuss the lack of a dark arts teacher, not sure what else. Following that you enter a tall room with many talking paintings. They talk about Harry and if there are any good quittage players in the line. Then you enter Dumbeldore's office which is very large. Dumbeldore himself seems pretty far away from you when you first enterut you do get closer to him in the line.
@MikeTheMovieDude We saw the ride seats outside the entrance and can tell you they look pretty heavy duty with over the shoulder harnesses and many of the signs said to beware that there would be sudden changes in direction, drops etc. during the ride
Hi everyone! Here are answers to a few of your questions. The wands we bought were just below 30 dollars. Not sure if all the wands are the same price, or if they vary. The man working the wand counter did have a british accent, as well as many of the employees in the Wizarding World. When we were choosing our wand the man did tell us what to do, we were not able to choose what spells we wanted to cast.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter officially opens June 18th.
Did the wand owner have a British accent? And when you chose what you wanted to do (like levitate the flowers) did you just choose that randomly or did he tell you to do that?
I hate you -_- ONLY JOKING :L I really really want to go there... humph some day... I hope one come to england
