Bethesda are currently working on downloading MODs onto your Skyrim console game, they are trying to fix and work around all the security and glitch issues. This will not be sorted for Skyrim's release.

MODs can actually be used on Xbox360's Oblivion. If you have a death-kit, then you can transfer MODs from your PC Oblivion to your Console and they work perfectly.

@sillua1 Except, there is no such thing as a death-kit... And there probably won't be mods on Skyrim for the same reason that PS3 and PC users had UT3 mods but 360 users didn't, Microsoft doesn't like it.

Those mods gives you overpowered items which ruins the game. The only good mods on Oblivion and New Vegas would be the graphic overhaul,colored map and the distant landscapes. The rest would just ruin the gameplay for those who played the game for the first time.

@RobloJoe They are acquired by putting .ESP files from PC mods into a LIVE container with a pointer. So this cannot be accomplished through usb...

@215alexdx There is no such thing as a death kit. Are you referring to a "dev kit" or developers kit? Don't get one unless you are truly interested in game design and you have experience programming on the 360 (PPC is key). This is what I did, I got a transfer cable (no usb drive support then) and I started programming for CoD4 and WaW (just changing dvars, not rly programming). Then I got a JTAG and mostly modded MW2. Then after about a year of programming on a JTAG, then I got my dev kit.

@215alexdx You can get a new dev kit for about $1000; I got mine used for $400. PC mods can be ran on it, but its still nothing like PC. Only because a dev kit can do real time edits on the mem and the registers. And you don't need disks anymore...
