  • Is your pig potty trained? or is it even possible to potty train them?

  • @YourLoveLetter Yes, Hamlet is litter box trained. He will also go outside during the summer. :)

  • What do you feed the adorable Hamlet?

  • @RidinTheRainbow I feed him Nutri Source Mini Pig food. I buy it at Tractor Supply Co.

  • @PiggyGirl2010 Ahh, interesting. Thank you. :D

  • does he not play well with your dogs?

  • @love0fesha0love We actually do not own dogs. We were babysitting my inlaws' cocker spaniel. At this point in time, we were not sure how the cocker spaniel would react to Hamlet. Hamlet plays well with dogs but the cocker spaniel has a history of getting into fights with other dogs. We didn't want to risk it. Turns out, they love each other! We don't need the fence anymore when he comes over. Check out "Piggy Blooper" to see them playing together. :)

  • Hamlets adorable but I thought he was a micro mini that only weighs about ten pounds max.He s grown quite a bit but still adorable regardless. Im so glad you gave him a good home with lots of lots of love

  • @lisaletanosky1 Hamlet's a mini pig. He's at the higher end of the range (30 to 50 lbs). Very few piggies weigh less than 25 pounds. He's mini compared to a 300 pound farm pig. :) Hamlet and I send our love.

  • Ironic that the dog's name is Wilburn and not the pig...

  • @mynameisnotnick34 HOw funny

  • i dont know... maybe he is bit stressed... i mean,... just look at it, the dog is free anad running around, and he is in the cage... on his own.... :( dont like it at all....

  • OMG! the cute mini pig has grew bigger?!

  • ohmigod. i'm in love!....with a pig..... :/

  • @gigistar911 Me too!

  • He´s simply irresistible! What a charmer. I wonder if a pig like this would go with my Chow Chow... well, probably not.

  • 0:35! hahaha! <3

  • Hamlet is really cute. :)

  • that's not a pig, it's a bull!

    XD

  • @Venzsmile Torro! Love, Matador Hamlet

  • cute and funny

  • Hi, PiggyGirl. Thank you very much for your reply, I do love pigs in general, they always call for my smile. But I fancy these small potbelly ones in particular and I think I might get one some day. Pigs are very clever animals, go so I´ve heard several times. Good luck with hamlet, give him a cuddle from me :-)

  • @vildmedchow Happy Holidays!

  • How old is he? I see they get way bigger than that or is it just certain breeds?

  • @fingolfinx In this video, Hamlet is 14 months old. He is now 17 months old (see most recent video, "Piggy Blooper"). I really don't expect him to get much larger. He weighs about 50 pounds. He is a mini pig. Potbellies get much bigger.

  • @fingolfinx Hamlet's pretty much done growing. He is about 53 pounds at 20.5 months. He is 3/4 Juliani and 1/4 Vietnamese Potbelly.

  • Are these beautiful little creatures easy to litter box train?

  • @vildmedchow Hamlet already came litter box trained when we got him at 5 weeks old. The breeder socializes and trains the piggies prior to you getting them. Pigs in general should be fairly easy to train. Their instinct is to use one spot to go potty and that spot should be far away from their bed. However, up until about 6 months, they do not have the best bladder control so you don't want to let them wander too far from their litter box.

  • @vildmedchow Hamlet pretty much came litter box trained from the breeder. He had the general idea but still took a little time to get it 100%. When they get older they have less trouble holding it for a while and are able to make it to the litter box consistently. :)

  • @PiggyGirl2010 How long it's been since the last time he didn't manage to use the litter box?

  • How much should you feed a mini pig when they first arrive?

  • @WilliamDillOnPatrol When they are babies they should 'free feed' (eat as much as they want) until they start devouring all the food every time you give it to them, then give it to them in meals (I did four times a day initially). Also, remember they are growing and do not underfeed a piglet (or an adult for that matter). I supplemented the pelleted food with milk replacer mixed with oatmeal for the first three months.

  • do you have him litter box trained?

  • @brooklynrothwell Yup, he uses his litter box. We have one upstairs and one downstairs. When it is nice outside we will let him go out. He HATES the cold though and winters are very long where we live. So, most of this time he just uses him indoor litter box.

  • @PiggyGirl2010 awesome thanks :) i`m getting my little girl in December and i want to be really prepared for her arrival

  • @brooklynrothwell That will be great! Good for you for being prepared! Please let me know if you have any questions when your little girl arrives. :)

  • My dog is scared to play with my pig now cause she always get beat up xD

  • I love when they spin around
