We have volunteer which is staffed by attendants, drivers etc.. but they can't do a call without the volunteer EMT. So, yes, BLS can be volunteer here.

Our paid EMT's from both the municipal and commercial services are utilized by other volunteer BLS squads who historically have difficulty crewing up certain times of the day. Therefore, we will provide EMT's to these squads, who are now paid to volunteer. And there you have it: BLS can be volunteer if they can crew, or paid EMT's will.

I have sat in dispatch and I know most of the time they don't wanna do this to us. I blame my OPS Supers for most of my late calls that are interfacility transfers.

@machrogers i am a dispatcher and there are certain people who i love giving calls to simply because of their sour reaction to having to do their job. i dont like waking people up normally to do calls as i do have heart and like to get some rest myself (private company)
