I have a problem.

Because when I connect my iPad 2/iPhone 4 to my TV, the screen starts showing everything correct. But the screen on my TV also starts showing pictures, games, movies, apps and so in in the color of purple.

Do you know what the problem is?

I don't have any problem with colors when I'm connecting my MacBook Pro/my dads Windows PC.

I have to say, that I have a HD-TV. Maybe it's that's why it will not work?

@Jonasmejdal You are connecting to the VGA port on an HDTV? Make sure the iPad firmware is up to date, but this maybe the fault of your TV. I would try the Digital A/V Adapter which use an HDMI cable.

Thanks for that. I have an iPad 1 and bought the VGA cable so I could run PowerPoint. Of course, nothing happened when I connected and I kicked myself for not checking whether Keynote worked.

By the way, it is worth noting that when you start the presentation, there s a delay before the 1st slide displays. This is what caught me and I assumed it did not work.

When I saw your video, I realized that it did work and went back to the iPad and waited... Voila!

u cannot output this purchased movies because u could show them to a big crowd using a ordinary projector... thats why they blocked... u need a special projector with HDMI to show them.... and thats not usual in schools or anything... hope it helped...

When you connect a Ipad to HDMI or VGA divices and use a application like page or number, can you use the Ipad just like a keyboard? Or, when you touch the virtual keyboard, it apears in both devices?

Annoying that the VGA won't play iTunes movies, the VGA on any Mac will so why not the iPhone? I have noticed the original iPod audio video cable doesn't work with the new iPhone either, have you tried it?  It tells me " this device is not supported"
