  • 'Puts up a sign post that says people can't stand in yuna's special spot.' :(

  • this is elevstor music dumbass

  • @HalfwayHouseNoob shut it loser.

  • I hated the fact that it was turned into a simple tourist attraction..a place that we fought so hard to get to in X and all of a sudden people can go there on a whim.

  • this song reminds me of the monkey mini game in chapter 2 i believe, where you have to match make all the monkeys

  • This game came out before I was as versed on the internet as I am now, so due to that, just to hear this song, I would constantly travel to Zanarkand Ruins just to level while listening to this song.

  • omg...i think of matching up those monkeys....finding their soul mates...

  • Oh hell yes, one of my favorites!

  • *Disembarks at Zanarkand, expecting to see the nice old ruins.... and then see all the tourists*

    WTF!?!?!?!??!?

  • I made this the song for Bastok when i was playing FFXI.

  • I remember that, when I was younger, I used to to the Ruins, pause the game, and then sit in my bedroom window and watch the sky, especially at dusk with evening approaching - I'd love how the music gave some sacredness to the soft, rose-gold hues as the last rays of sunlight bathed the hills behind my home with a soft glow, the cirrus clouds looked like seashells, and I could enjoy my last days of summer before school started in the autumn... :-)

  • anyone else picture wacky inflatable arm flailing tube men when listening to this?

  • i love this so much. it's so exotic.

  • This song is very soothing :) i love ffx-2 and i wish so much that there'd be an x-3 but unfortunately i think that ll never happen :'(

  • @PawneyAndre actually there will be. "Sin of the Father" it's about Auron's story with high summoner Braska, which is even before FFX-1

  • @Yukinari123 how do u no/?

  • @PawneyAndre well there is another ffx - 2 international + Last mission, but in japanese lenguage xD and is just awesome !

  • The original Zanarkand theme was 9999999 times better, but this is good too.

  • Ang lakas maka-seiko film naman ng kanta to!

  • always makes me sad when I listen to this, or go to zanarkand..... but its sucha beautiful song!

  • This song perfectly embodies what Zanarkand is to Yuna; a special, sacred place that was the scene of a major turning point in her life... brought down to the level of a tourist attraction? It's close to going into full-on calm lands territory, but not without a fight!

  • @OerbaFunYang It embodies elevator music.

  • @CryInTheAttic Piano =/= elevator music.

  • @ZephyrFate Wow thanks beethoven. But also, this song =/= just piano. Secondly elevator music often has piano in it. Third, this song ~ elevator music.

  • @CryInTheAttic So your argument is that "it's elevator music because it is." Alright, everyone can safely ignore you then.

  • @OerbaFunYang

    lol stfuuuu

  • Check Out My J Masta Mix Of Zanarkand Ruins in the video responses

  • I'm really REALLY hoping for a Final Fantasy HD collection with this game in it.

  • I don't know why, but this seriously reminds me of Chrono Trigger even tho I'm looking at the FFX-2 image.

  • @serphsephrim Maybe because it has the exact same background beat as the Chronopolis theme in Chrono Cross.

  • reminds me of pokemon

  • This song reminds me of Dark Cloud for some reason. Anyone else?

  • @kaeede91

same here! the last dungeon, where the final boss is as well

  • AWESOME SOUNDTRACK!!!! :D

  • I remember listening to this, standing at where the fire was, then walking up to the over-looking part. Just as Tidus did from the very beginning. The waves of light.

Ahh how i wish this was real life! T_T

  • 今となってはザナルカンド遺跡も観光地ですね。

  • memories :'(

  • where the hell is my girl...... o.0 gottafindher ... ahhhh fore the smg ends

  • this song is really!!!!! Soothing

  • I adore how sensual and romantic this sounds.

  • Right before I fought Veg, I would go to Zanarkand Ruins just to hear the music and look at the pyreflies

  • I hate Pacce so much...

    THE KINDERGUARDIANS!

    ...kinderguardians...

  • This music is modern and pleasant. Esta música es moderna y agradable.

  • i dont like this one...how come they couldnt keep the original tracks

  • I MISSED TIDUS WHILE PLAYING THAT GAME ALL THE TIME xD

  • @PlayerHina Tidus was the main reason why I started playing FFX-2!

  • @hassergam mine too :P

  • @PlayerHina yeah don´t forget auron xD

  • @MrMegamarco AUROOOON Q .Q With his big, hard long...

    ...

    claymore!!!

  • I think of laying down and staring at the night sky when this song plays.

  • MONKEY STOLE MAI SHEIT

  • I was break dancing to this lol

  • 曲自体は良いんだけど、ff10の曲のモチーフを、少しは使って欲しかったな。

  • MONKEY !

  • @Neemeess "KEY?" "MON?" oh gosh that was such a cute part in the game XD thanks for the memory!

  • is better the Zanarkand ruins theme of FFX I think

  • Spyro music anyone? Aquaria Towers level or any other underwater level

  • omg seriously. and i think that thunder world too. you know the weird guys with glasses and the gear golems ;)

  • best song in this game but not in FF´s series

  • This Theme is Sometimes Remind me of Chronopolis in Chrono Cross Games..

  • Can't say I like every song in this game, but I just LOVE this one. I like just going there sometimes, put my controller down and listening to it =)

  • It´s realy ... sad? No it´s something else. Depressing? Yeah maybe. But...still...? Hm cannot explain.

  • Good song...wellp now to listen to FFX version. Gotta save the best for last.

  • I listened to this song when I was walking on the deep snow using just snow shoes and making my way all throughout the ice lake.....

  • @Sehbius Oh, I can imagine that - beautiful!

  • NOSTALGIAAAAA~!!!!

  • Memories of pairing up monkeys.

  • Final Fantasy X & X-2 are the only FF games I've ever played and loved the music in both of them! I wish they made Final Fantasy X-3.

  • God, i love these instrumentals. Can someone please tell me what instrument the horn sound is? It's my favorite sound, i've heard it used in a lot of video games. Is it a synthesizer? Or some electric Bagpipe?

  • @Nenie Not sure, but it kinda sounds like bagpipes

  • Not too bad! I've only played so much of either games. But I can definitely say that Ryukku (Rikku to solely english speakers) is My girl from this set of games from the series! The game series' music has developed quite nicely! ;3

  • Holy land my tail feathers. That place is a mere tourist attraction. Whatever happened to "The Almighty Never Speak of it Holy Land Zanarkand." They might as well set up a mall where the ruins used to be.

  • love this ST but i think the 1 from ffx is beter :P

  • love this ST but i think the 1 from ffx is beter :P

  • listening to this song i always imagine a different world. how badly i wish everyone could see this world with this music playing through the air. everything thats in my heart is final fantasy. how i can imagine this world being real. i cant take it, the thing i cheerish most to my heart only my imagination. i promise to everyone i will bring this fantasy to reality through videogames for everyone. we will all live in final fantasy world. i promise it with my heart.

  • a little bit of this song reminds me of chronopolis in chrono cross some agrees?

  • @KnucklestheechidnaII LOL it does kind of sound like it. :D

  • The ONLY song I've ever liked in this game. Really, haha.

  • @remaininghope Dude, im right there with you. This song brings back so many good memories.

  • I'm in love with this song. One of the most beautiful songs around.

  • Comment removed

  • I really liked this song, but it sounds kinda like a coffee shop. Or elevator music. Which everrrr.

  • I like the part from 0:38 until 1:07 ^^

  • Am I the only one that hears In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins in this?

  • @VysexThexLegend LOL now I'm reminded of that. :D

  • keemon? monkee!!!

  • dude its like friggin Zelda all over again :D

  • is it only me that was inspired to musical instruments like piano, harmonica and violins by these beautiful soundtracks??

  • ahh. got my nostalgic fix.

  • Extended version please ;O;

  • Lovely, makes me smile :) x

  • i remember sitting on that hill and watching the pyreflies

  • Hm..I really love FF X-2....and this song is one of my favos in the whole game~....so pretty...but also a lil bit sad...perfect for the Zanarkand Ruins~ <3

  • I played this before 10 and didn't know why Zanarkand was so important. Now that I've played 10 I got quite angry when they made it a tourist place. It also made me sad since Yuna has lost a place she loves.

  • Golde is after your gil.

Sylva can´t keep on living like this.

    Sol hates tourists.

    Familiar?

  • @Seunia FOR TWO FREAKING HOURS I RAN BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THOSE DARN MONKEYS. >:|

  • @Seunia no

  • @MarioFetonix The monkey pairing minigame in Zanarkand :)

  • i think the version from ffx is better^^

  • @Jakezing well I dont think there is a final fantasy game where the protagonist of the game dies off, idk since I havent played many of them.

  • @lightningwolf703 Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII does (if you've followed anything with FFVII, this isn't much of a spoiler). Honestly it's my favorite FF game ever. The ending is amazing. :)

  • I LOVE this song! I pause my game and just listen to it.

Congratulations, Zanarkand Ruins, you have another amazing song. It doesn't top to Zanarkand, but it's still an amazing song.

  • @LadyMiroku WOW i do the exact same thing

  • I haven't even played this game and I think this song is great!

  • @Sergeantspoon

I'd recommend playing it, if you played any of the other FF games. Alot of Final Fantasy fans didn't really agree on this game, but I always considered this one my top favorite. I enjoyed every minute of this game, ever since I was 9 I've played this game. *sigh* Time sure passes by when you least expect it to.

  • @frubamaniac409 Agree I still have it never ever trade it

  • @CaptainRoyMustang170

I don't know how anybody could trade it, because you'll end up regretting it once you do. You'll be thinking back on those good day on playing a certain game, and there will be that one moment you want to play it then get disappointed and realize you traded it in. So, I'm never giving up this game, you couldn't pay me a million dollars to get rid of it.

  • @frubamaniac409 I still have it I never trade it never not even a million years

  • this song makes wanna lay down on a hammock ,look at the full moon ,smoke a bag of weed, and melt away..........

  • @HellHeart1379 I totally fucking agree!

  • @HellHeart1379 you forgot at the beach haha

  • No offense, but I think the Final Fantasy X Soundtrack of Zanarkand theme songs were much more better =\

  • @xxanimexx66 hmm not me ;)

  • I love final fantasy 10-2 , it really isnt a bad game idk why so much people dont like it

  • They're buthurt because it's a slice of life with no real threat to existance like Sin was.

  • truely a master peices

  • the piano solo from 0:40 seconds is epic! love this shit!

  • I may be in the minority here, but I LOVED FFX-2, I was sad when FFX ended and this game gave me closure..lol This song is so good!

  • @spadermama It was my very first RPG game(and the one who introduced me into Final Fantasy), so...

I love it too, you're not alone dude xd

    (Thanks, Playstation 2 demos!)

  • FFX-2 FTW sure music was not as good in a whole but had some lovley peaces and game play was good too

  • @HazyJonny eternal memory of light waves (think thats what its called) the main theme is my fav from this game

  • @MySexyPronz

yea i love that song as well

  • @HazyJonny mint :D

  • same! i love X-2 for that reason that i had closure and was now content with how the whole story finally ended

  • @spadermama I agree the alternate endings were a bonus if you ask me but the game did bring closure and a happy ending. I wish that some not all games would follow this path.

  • @gregorybleach9 FFX wasnt a game that needed a happy ending; it was a story where a character savrafices himself. you dont kill a hero, then force him back. yunas just selfish.

  • @Jakezing you have a point.

  • i love the piano solo my favorite part is the :57 seconds part ..dun dun dun dun dun dun dun..yeah i love it lol

  • i really liked this one

  • the second best peice of music in ffx2

  • What was your first favourite?

  • besaid it gives me memorys of ffx

  • i agree...!

  • no, Brother= teh secks.

  • i love this song..its sexy! this reminds me of the monkeys

  • best song ever

  • it makes me think of the swaying ladies that are scattered in zanarkand. xD

  • oh my god, me too

  • This reminds me of those weird monkey things in X-2.

  • loving it

  • This song is soo beauty

  • I miss "To Zanarkand."

  • i love it

  • It isn't the original track?

  • this song is a rip-off.. i'm trying to remember the original.. does anyone know??

    and yes, i'm 100% sure..

  • um...this is the FFX-2 original...unless you're talking about FFX "To Zanarkand"...

then there's no other song...this song does play in FFX-2

  • theres a song i hear on the radio occasionally that plays a piano solo and when i hear it i always think of this song

  • <333

  • But thats exactly the point.

Zanarkand almost turns into "just another place" and using this song in comparison to the original is supposed to make it seem ordinary and give the sad sense of losing such an important place to Yuna.

  • @smokypot so the song is good because it is bad?

  • @Lunarisultros Don't be an ass. You don't get the point of the song.

There's effort in Zanarkand X-2, but it's supposed to sound ordinary.

  • @smokypot If that's the point, I, myself, would have changed the scores at 0:28 to give a momentaneous feeling of sadness / losingness (I can't exactly describe it, but a 5 second lower tone with a different melody) and them keep the song as it is, but with another minor changes to give a momentaneous sense of loss. But that's just me and I'm no composer. Yet. MWOHOHOHOHO lol

  • @smokypot i know that feeling. the first game was spot on. perfect solid story, perfect ending, amazing music. and the fact they had to add to it by making a sequal with a team rocket styled set of enemies, the music doesnt feed your emotion and the story seems like a quick fix to satisfy to bring tidus back :/ i think they shudnt have made this game. :/

  • @emotionalywrecked It's true. FFX is my favourite game in the series, next to FFIV. I first rented this when I was relatively new to Final Fantasy, and I loved it. When I had the choice to actually buy it, I wasn't too sure, and even as I was playing it, I felt I regretted my purchase. Just playing it wasn't that fun. I certainly didn't enjoy it. But I decided to play it again without taking it too seriously and I liked it. It's pretty pointless, but still fun if you don't take it seriously.

  • this music is talking about the old memories of zarakand ...

and a little part of FFX tune ...

  • i put this as my music for Gustaberg when i used to play FFXI.

  • <333

  • man I love this song

  • it's like the next part of 'Someday The Dream Will End' in FFX.....it's deeply, magicaly

  • this the song is good=)
