  • I don't think that's the lesson. Earlier in the passage God promises Abraham that if he finds 1 righteous man he will spare the city. Abraham thinks Lot is righteous; Lot proves that he is reprehensible. But the story shows that the rest of the city is just as bad or worse. So God destroys the city, but for Abraham's sake God spares Lot's life. The point may be that God is both loving (to Abraham) but also just. The moral could be that what you do can have a dramatic impact on an entire city.

  • WOW IS THIS READY IN THE BIBLE ...lol THE BIBLE IS ALL FUCKED UP

  • @Vitaminbeatz I say more. This video is fantastic :)

Let's go read the bible and do gang bang sex XD

  • O no you got it wrong see cause they where his step daughters. Fucking your stepdaughters is good ... right? I'm pretty sure that's written in there somewhere

  • 43alley what a joke of a video, complete and utter bull. do you not know what the sins of the father are dear boy, lol the children of sodom were taught homosexuality and perversions hence why the city was the way it was, you cry for the poor children who were bread for sin, but you mock God for destroying sin lol just like an atheist to try and use the child view when right now there are kids bread to kill infedels and cut their heads off you gonna weep for them as they cut your throat?

  • @MrDathon1577

You want to explain the incestuous cave sex? I want a moral interpretation, buddy.

  • @ana8woahhh incestuous cave sex eh pls dear boy show me scripture i want to read this lol

  • wow...this is the shit i have to read for college? fuck. stupid mandatory freshman course. least i'll quit this school before i get sucked in it next year.

  • @xchainlinkx - No, these classes can actually be fun. Watch your religious classmates squirm when they hear the stuff they never learned in Sunday School.

And don't quit. Be cool. Stay in school.

  • @43alley school is just a governmental manifestation that tells schools what to teach. I learned more from the internet than in high school. I never was told about the evidence about how 9/11 is an inside job, nor have I been taught not to blindly obey authority and question everything. Only thing worth learning here in college is japaneese and communications, which I can learn for less the cost elsewhere. If it were a church leading education you would think the same as I do.

  • I'm digging that quote at the end. I might have to get a t-shirt made.

  • so the Scientologist view is that a couple of men(or aliens?) came into the city, and all of the cities men wanted to rape them, so the aliens got pissed and blew up the city with a nuclear bomb?

that actually has more leverage than the Christian view - still crazy though.

  • HhHHhahahahahaha!!

  • @rocha333 - "Whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire." - Matthew 5:22

  • @rocha333

In the Bible, the word "know" seems to mean "fuck." Think about it...

  • Whatever it was the reason the city men wanted the angels, or if Lot was right or wrong in offering his daughter, God Himself had nothing to do with Lot's deal with the city men.

The atheists aim here is to a accuse God and you guys hve failed again. Have you never had text interpretation at school? :)

  • @rocha333 Missinterpertation, always the easy card you christians play when your bible is proven immoral.

  • @roylinfordadams AND WHEN HAS THE BIBLE PROVEN WRONG? :)

  • @rocha333

how would he offer his TWO daughters as wives to the entire city without it being considered gang-rape?

... oh, gang-bang. sorry about the confusion.

  • @rocha333 I hate to call names, but you have got to be intellectually dishonest to accept your point of view. You are saying that when a crowd gathered outside his house, that his plan was to appease the whole crowd with the marriage of his two daughters? Stop deluding yourself!

  • @TheOmegadusk YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST. YOU DON'T LOOK AT THE CONTEX OF THE TIME AND WANT TO FIND fault IN THE BIBLE IN ORDER TO KEEP ON LIVING YOUR MEANINGLESS LIFE.

  • @rocha333 And here I thought you might have some enlightening things to say. But no, you have rubbish. I understand ancient history quite well and arguing that I do not understand the context is an unsubtle way of dodging the questions. Rape and slavery were rampant in those times, and the old testament goes right along with the whole thing. Hell a lot of the new testament does pretty much the same. You can type in all caps all day and it won't change the fact that you're wrong.

  • @rocha333

You're the one writing in desperate caps lock. Atheists don't need to. No point made by a religious person scares us. Though to be fair--we haven't really yet seen one.

  • @TheOmegadusk

Coming from someone religious, that's not really the best advice to impose. Just sayin'.

  • @rocha333 so let me get this straight. The town folk probably just wanted to talk to the angels right? just get to "know" them. Maybe buy em a drink? And this so disturbed Lot that he offered his daughters up for "marriage" like you say... and this makes perfectly good sense in what world? And, given the innocent nature of the entire ordeal, as you claim, god then decided to destroy the entire city save 1 family? Either way you interpret it there seems to be some missing pieces.

  • @rocha333

The sex seemed pretty clear. No mistake, daddy and the gals were making children. Moral interpretation?

  • @ana8woahhh Look my friend, God was never in agreement to what the girls did to their father. God had nothing to do with that. As a evidence of it the people of Edom is no longer in existence. All this is just how you read the context of the biblical passage.

Attacks against God have failed again...

  • @rocha333

He wasn't offering them as wives!!!! Are all Xains this deeply into denial??

The mob said they wanted to "know" the 2 strangers (angels)!

And you call us fools!! Ha, ha! besides you being dad wrong, you are now headed for Hell! Ha, ha! But don't feel bad, after jesus made that comment, he turned around and called others fools! Ha, ha!

Do as I say, not as I do!

  • @Cootabux Look m friend, your comment again is proof of your lack of knowledge of Christian teachings. You read the bible out of its contex and essence. When the bible forbids to call someone a fool is in a sense of jugding unjustly and not when this is certainty. When God said : THE FOOLS SAYS IN HIS HEART; THERE IS NO GOD. He was simply affirm what deshonest people really are. The creation is a evidence for God and they still choose not to see that.

  • @rocha333 vey true...finally someone who knows what they're talking!

  • Gettin wasted and regrettin it since BC!

  • If Lot was so drunk out of his mind that he didn't know he was being forced into sex by his daughters, would be able even get it up?

  • if you know God's very nature, u would never doubt his love for mankind.

  • Is should have read, "And then the righteous man shall have unprotected drunk-sex with his VIRGIN daughters in a cave".

I wonder where they got the wine from if they "fled" in a hurry?

And who get's drunk and doesn't truly know what they are doing unless they are alcoholics? He had to have known but just pretended to be drunk. Either that or he was an alcoholic, which could translate that alcoholism is ok.

  • I love these vids. Wish the whole bible was done this way.

  • And the moral of the story is.

    Incest is A OK ! AMEN !

Kill the gays and fuck your daughters ! AMEN !

Truly god is a good god.

  • Is this why people in the middle east are so fucked up? I guess they need a book to tell them of what NOT to do... because they are really out of self-control.

  • It should have ended with [adultswim]

  • I feel sorry for christians who have to accept this story as a part of their religion

  • Okay, so if two angels want to rid your county because of evil, and a mob wants to rape them, offer your daughters instead. Then, the angels will tell you to run away. Run away to a cave and make sure your wife looks back, making her a pillar of salt. Then, go into the cave for shelter. If your daughters make you drink and incestually rape you to inherit your "seed", that's fine. Just make sure they have two sons (one for each daughter).

  • Poor man. Being raped by his own daughters.... Although he clearly managed to get it up.

But obviously, if a woman is being tricked or even forced to have sex she is merely a trashy harlot.

Women are always guilty, but a man can have as much sex as he wants and still be deemed innocent and good.

  • How could any Christian find this video offensive? The narration is verbatum from their own bible. I must admit, this for me has always been one of the most screwed up stories in the bible. I've always found the book of Job pretty sick too!

  • I'm an Atheist and this video is trash. =\ It's very mocking and you can tell it was made to cause controversy. We need a new name for people like you...hmm. Troll Atheist? Trolltheist? You give Atheist a bad name. And Christians you are only feeding them...I BEG YOU to just IGNORE these type of videos. Or at least respond with a "Well, good for you."

  • @JamesOfAwesome - Wow, make sweeping generalizations much after watching only one video?

  • @43alley

I've been watching these for a long time. It's pretty sad...(in fact I was almost addicted to them for a while. Also sad.)

Christians and Atheist going back and fourth fighting over Youtube. You would think that sort of thing would be left to children.

What I said above was an opinion--but after I reading it again it does seem kind of pushy... I'm sorry, I'm sure you put a lot of effort into your videos. I still don't agree with causing controversy though.

  • @JamesOfAwesome - my videos are not here to cause controversy. I agree this one pushes some buttons, but I invite you to watch my other ones in this series to see that they evolve to raise very well-thought points.

And to further show that I'm serious in what I do here on YouTube, please watch my video called "How I Gave Up religion." All are on my channel. Thanks.

  • @43alley

That was the first one I watched and I enjoyed it very much. I've grown up in the bible belt too. It's not always fun =\ but it's home.

  • @JamesOfAwesome

The description is not "pushy"-what is pushy is a group of people who use old literature written by men to control or morally abuse and blame others and say their way is correct and then try to control governmental policies based on these beliefs and using god to back them up as proof of their righteousness.

If god was so pure he would not write about these wretched stories & ideas that would be put into men's minds nor allow bad things to happen. Shit I could do a better job.

  • @JamesOfAwesome perhaps you should quit your belly aching and grow a pair you fucking shit turnip.or perhaps go and bone your sister/mother dumb ass inbred red neck.

  • @JamesOfAwesome These are some of the many paramount absurdities branded as "Laws," coming out of a book we're supposed to take as "Moral Guide." There are many trivial so-called "laws" in that book that I find difficult to believe they were given by a superintelligent being, while there are many others "laws" no one can deny they're barbaric and revolting. So I see no compelling reason why they shouldn't be mocked and ridiculed. Are we supposed to show reverence for such loathsome laws?

  • @pedrom41

Um, I'm an Atheist and I agree most of the morals that come out of the bible. Also, are you talking about E.T? Because that's what it sounds like.

Another thing to think about: How come it's the Atheist that are always offended? Then the Christians have to fix/agree on things so they won't throw a fit? Most Atheist now days are a bunch of over educated (they think) college students. How about pulling that massive stick out of your ass that you claim to be "WISDOM" and "SCIENCE"

  • @pedrom41

And doing us ALL a big favor that is called "SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

You are NOT important. You will rot in the ground like the rest of us. Suck on that for a while you gift to fucking mankind. Problem with most Atheist today...they have this "Holier than thou" attitude the SAME thing they bitch and moan about. How about shutting up? If a Christian runs up to you and yells about Jesus and how he saved them. REPLY: That's awesome, I'm glad you found happiness. =) Don't try to school them.

  • @JamesOfAwesome You are no atheist, you're a fake and the way you're talking you sound more like an ignoramus charlatan. I would have more respect for you if you were a true Christian, or if you at least stop pretending to be an atheists. The way you came on it sounds that you're the one who needs to SHUT IT UP!

  • @pedrom41

    Sooo...

Logic: Sick of people bitching about this constantly = Not Atheist?

I don't really care, I just hate the unwarranted self importance! =D

No God, two Gods, a giant dragon shat us out, I could give a fuck. What I DO give a fuck about is all the belly aching from both sides. Kill yourselves. Honestly, eat a big bunch of those "Holier than thou" pills you shove up your ass every morning. "You don't agree with me! Let's fight online!"

Grow up, I'm done with you.

  • @JamesOfAwesome religion deserves to be mocked. grown men believing in fairy tales...really. why shouldn't we mock that? wouldn't you mock a grown man who believed in santa claus? or have him committed? same fucking thing applies to people who believe in all this bullshit religious crap.

  • @gurshark

Same reason I mock people who think they know everything. And Science is LAW? Guess what? Scientist believed sharks couldn't break bones at one point in time. Nothing is fact. NOTHING. Taunt them all you want, it just makes you look as foolish as they do. The sooner we obtain the thing called-- um, "shutting the hell up" the better. People will never agree on one thing, we have to accept that. So sit back, and try to enjoy life without running around trying to start fights.

  • @gurshark

Also, sometimes, I wish there was a God so he could come take a big greasy shit on all you assholes with your "Holier than thou" attitudes. Fuck you, you will rot in a box like everyone else.

  • @JamesOfAwesome science is a process of acquiring knowledge. observations lead to hypotheses. when something is disproved, it is gone from the realm of science. who the fuck says anything about science being LAW, or scientists purporting to know everything? all i'm saying is until something is proved, you are foolish to believe it because some goddamned book told you it's true. eat shit and die, you fucking troll. you are so fucking stupid it is making my head spin. motherfucking POS.

  • @gurshark

Egotistical asshole voice: "Science is a process of acquiring knowledge. Observations lead to--rot in a box."

But really, "Because some Goddamned book told your it's true"

Oh, ho, ho, ho...And you believe in a few human beings in little white coats that have a pretty piece of paper they keep in a office in a shiny golden frame!

YA SEE ME TROLLIN', YOU TAKE THE BAIT!

  • @JamesOfAwesome eat a dick you redneck piece of shit. go crawl back up your mother's rotten cunt and die. fucking moron.

  • @gurshark

Haha, I even TELL you I'm trolling and you still eat it up. xD Red neck? OH, you mean the Confederate flag on my profile? That is to mislead people....people, just like you.

Have a nice day, you all knowing Atheist. =)

  • @JamesOfAwesome he's just showing the story the christians don't want you to see. hell, they don't even want to see it, lol

  • @VvDOPAMEANvV

First 16 seconds: Birthplace of gay anal sex

34 seconds: Donkey sex show, and anal rape seminar

Yeah, dude, this totally happened. While the reading may be correct the images are offensive and are only there to cause drama.

Also, my comments are fact. YOU just don't want to see them.

  • @JamesOfAwesome lol, the reading is almost as offensive as the images. you act like the video is a bizarre characiture.

  • I'm not going to argue over what's right or wrong.Clearly if I do, I'm going to spike out another controversy, which won't lead to anywhere because people believe what they are used to believing.I'm not Christian myself, but we did have to read the Bible for humanities. And I read it as a way to contemplate the type of people and culture that used to exist back then that brought these stories to us. Surely they never thought the way we do now, so it sounds crazy.

  • @JTeamjesters i don't see how people not thinking like us back then has got anything to do with the point. If it was just a weird old story book who would care, the fact is there are people in this world today that think that A. The super being described in this book exists. B. This creature is good. Point A is tricky, but how anyone can think Point B could be true, after reading this chapter of the holy book, is beyond me.

  • @kendrawhisp Well back then everything worked in a patriarchal system. Women were not regarded highly as much so it was ok for people during those times to have their wives/daughters sacrificed for something; if not as atrociously but definitely in some way. It seems bad to us now because we don't look at this in the same way anymore. Also, it was much more important to reproduce back then than to judge who they did it with. We're talking about a primitive civilization.

  • @JTeamjesters Yes, i agree with you. it;s a collection of stories, no dispute there, and i am well aware of the backwardness of primitive people, you just have to listen to a muslim speak and you can see the dicord with modren morality today. But again its not the point, the point is that people thinking a creature capable of doing what is done in this book, and believing it to e true, and good TODAY, is an unhealthy mindset.

  • @kendrawhisp COntinued---And the Bible, whether true or not, IS a collection of stories from earlier times. People only choose to consider it "holy" because there are values and interpretations they picked along the way (the idea of a supreme being with rules and so on). Not that I agree with ALOT of what it says but that's the gist of it.

  • @kendrawhisp And yes, I understand it sounds rather silly, especially after I read Genesis, Exodus, and Luke, as to how people can still consider this supreme being good. Well, perhaps we'll never know. We can ask but people will defend themselves by saying that we don't understand "the point." Typical answer. But people want to believe that there is indeed a force out there, and the Bible is the oldest account that they can rely on, true or not.

  • @JTeamjesters "Bible is the oldest account that they can rely on" They only reply on this because they are conditioned to. If it were me I'd start looking at older books on older religions because the abrahmic god would clearly be mentally ill, if he existed.

  • @kendrawhisp I agree with you. I just had to touch upon two sides of the story, but even that doesn't convince me. And no matter what people say, the Bible is NOT the oldest written account in history. I know because I am a Hindu, and my religion dates long before Christianity and Judaism became established, and we have many religious texts that are in existent today. Our polytheistic religion is still practiced even after the other powerful civilizations of Greece and Egypt disintegrated--

  • @kendrawhisp Continued---And our messages are not as complex or threatening as the Bible, and we don't choose to follow what we are said about our gods as seriously as the Muslims do (no offense). Of course I do find some objections to our holy text, but taking religion seriously is completely ridiculous. God of the Bible is plain scary to me and although Islam is generally a peaceful religion, people abuse it so SO much---

  • @kendrawhisp ---Everything spurns out of our fears of the unknown and our need for protection against society's harms. Prove me if I'm wrong but to me, whoever takes any religious doctrines that harms the individual or community in any way is only afraid to face the real world as it is. Simple cowards. You should read Sigmund Freud's Civilization and It's Discontents if you haven't already. He makes a good point about that.

  • @JTeamjesters I haven't read it, but if you think I need convincing on THAT point, no need, i 100% agree.

  • @kendrawhisp Oh no, I don't think you need convincing. I think you and I already share the same viewpoint. Just a recommendation in case you are interested in mankind's psychology.

  • incest is best!

  • This video says innocent children were killed. How ignorant is this atheist. The bible teaches every man, woman, and child is guilty of sin because of Adam. Because sin is in every person from the day we are born, God has that right to eliminate sin. I kill cock roaches daily because I find them offensive. God kills sinner daily because he find us offensive. Atheist are no different, just because you don't believe doesn't make God go away. Sooner or later him coming for you and me. Praise God.

  • @Auslander999 In the bible there is guy named job! Satan told god that job like s god for things he give. God decides to kill Job's wife, friends, children, take all his stuff just to prove a point. It shows god's morality!

  • The Genesis 19 story actually reappears (with a few differences) in the second half of Judges 19 - but with a rather more revolting conclusion.

  • I want to know what kind of wine Lot drank. He was so drunk he couldn't recognize his own daughters, but he was sober enough to keep his dick hard and BAM!, he gets them pregnant. One each night. Didn't he perceive that he had sex with 'someone' the night before?. And the daughters were as sick as the people living in the town...they thought that there wasn't any men left?.

  • And something else: Chapter 19: 14:

"And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law".

Hmmm...didn't they say that the daughters were virgins?.

  • that is sick!!

  • This is not true. This is entirly false

  • @smithbrain That's what Luke Skywalker said about his father.

  • How the fuck can you turn into a pillar of salt?! Plus I thought this god was agaist inbreed

  • All the christians who oppose homosexuals and cite sodom and ghimorrah as evidence just wish they could have lived in the city and had gay sex too.

  • i like the vid on the video response.

  • @shaunjhust - Haha! If only all bible reading were so visual.

  • Oh, back in middle school English, we were reading Puritan stories, and for our project, we had to make creative interpretations. I chose the story of God's destruction of Sodom, and guess what picture I used for that? I used Sephiroth destroying Nibelheim. You know, the one from Final Fantasy VII with Sephiroth standing in front of the blazing city.

  • @DarkAdonisVyers Lol, that's pretty creative. Good job XD

By the way, what were their reactions?

  • @DarkLink9393 Just as a normal project.

  • I'm probably going to regret asking this, but if this is the "King James version", how many different versions are there?

  • please read the whole book of Genesis...oh in Jesus' Name!!!

  • xDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • When reading the Good Book I came across a tale so sickening that it makes Lot seem the paragon of virtue.

Judges 19:23-29 tells the tale of a Levite (priest) whose host offers one of his daughters up for rape as the populace yet again wants to "know" the priest. The crowd will have none of it so instead the Levite gives them one of his wives whom they rape, mutilate and kill. The next morning the priest finds the corpse of the wife, takes it home and cuts her in to 12 pieces.

  • "Georgia"

    Fucking lol

  • lot was a gate keeper

  • This has been very entertaining, i'm definitely a fan now.

  • I'm just gonna say this, the Torah (Old testament of the Bible) is partly the word of God, and partly a history book. Just because something is mentioned in the Book, doesn't mean that it is condoned by God. Just saying.

  • This story was the one that convinced me beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Bible was a piece of wholecloth human artifice.

This bedside story is so evidently the wet dream of some deranged bronze age patriarch and nothing moral or aesthetically beautiful can be found in it.

It also interesting to note that the Bible condemns a whole list of different incestious relations but absent from the list is a father having sex with his children qua the story of Lot (Leviticus 18:6-18).

  • Readings from the bible flagged as offensive-by CHRISTIANS?!? That is TOO rich! I've been saying it's an offensive book for years...but I never thought the god squad would agree with me.

  • It's ironic the Sodomites had a higher standard than Lot since they preferred adults.

I'd like to know how and where his daughters got the alcohol, but then again teenagers can be very resourceful when it comes to smuggling booze under their parents noses.

  • priceless and very very funny!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How can anyone worship this monster?

  • @Dwinetz A monstor has to exist before you can hate it.

  • I think the most telling words in this story are "to this day". This implies that it was written long after the events it presents as true.

  • What and where can I find the song you use at the beginning of all your videos?

  • so, lot was raped by her daughters after he offered them to the mob of homosexuals who wanted to "know" two angels disguised as men?

    wait... WHAT!?

  • GODS A FASCIST! If he exists, DO NOT WORSHIP HIM.

  • wow..... god is an asshole

  • Well, I know a couple who are born again christians. They pay their tithes, and then the hubby hits on teens, cheats incessantly, and the mom abuses their kids and had a child with another man. But, hey!! Don't judge. They go to church every weekend and pay their 10%!!! They are far better people than I, a lowly atheist. LMAO!!

  • @babyhorsey6 that sounds about right i mean i grew up christian and became and atheist but yeah when they act holier than though when they r not they like rly need slapped bad

  • So he banged his daughters once and they both became pregnant?! Damn, Lot's got some potent shit.

  • Isn't there threats about fire and brimstone in the Bible (which means Hell). How interesting that the fire and brimstone comes from Heaven in this tale.

Maybe God isn't who he says he is...

43alley: great video! Can't wait to get through them.

  • Me thinks someone back then had an incest fetish while writing this part.

  • Shows how truly messed up the whole thing is. The fact there are people out there trying to justify these passages is actually worrying.

  • I love you and your videos. Your "How I Became an Atheist" reminded me of my own story. I think you put it together beautifully. Keep up the good work....hilarious. Makes me feel better even though I'm surrounded by born-again Christians in my every-day life.

  • The Bible is a load of Rules Rules and more brain washing rules. I used a copy once for wipping my arse on when I was in the army and the paper also can make good paper for rolling roll ups with.

  • ROFL @ 4:09 And yet idiots who believe this crap try to claim the moral high ground over us atheists! I love when the religious claim that we're only atheists as an excuse to do whatever we like against God's will, and yet that infers that we actually secretly believe it to be true and are therefore aware that we will be tortured for eternity in hell, if that was the case wouldn't we just openly do evil stuff? What difference does an excuse make? Stupid fucks.

  • i think god did the right thing by burning the sodomites alive.

  • Comment removed

  • Anybody who's read the Bible knows this story. I actually heard it in church. The bible is a history book. If it is all "happy and joyful, jumping around, etc.", then it's unrealistic. Tragedies and overcoming tragedies. The world ain't pretty, and the Bible shows it. Besides, it is meant to be read as a whole. One passage can be misunderstood when not supported by another. It isn't exactly linear either. It's a circle with God in the center. No God = no understanding.

  • You are not getting the point. Every religulous person screams about morality. They always ask atheists if they don't have the bible were would they get they morals from. Here is one of the millions example of the religion stupidity/morality.

  • Okay then forget the Bible. How about asking in general, where do you get your morals from? I'm curious because all I hear from Athiests is that our current morals came from billions and billions (of course I'm exxagerating) of years of interaction with change through interaction. Sort of like evolution did with our physical counterpart. I just don't see how morality connects with evolution and the Athiest's (not all, but most) view of life and it's purpose.

  • @Lukeiru The answer is very simple... and complicated. Use the simple version.

First ask yourself: do u think there were no morals before J.C. ? do u think there were no morals before the bible? Would you call Jews immoral? How about aboriginals of Australia, Alaska, Indians?

Second look at the stats: percent of Atheists vs. Christians in prison. Atheists performing terrorist act vs. religion people.

Third: wars religion based vs. none "holy" wars. (Consider for A. communism/fascism=religion.

  • @Matismatt I can keep going. But why is it so hard to understand that morals do not equal bible and you don't have to ever know about the bible in order to be a nice person?

  • Comment removed

What I think won't matter to Athiests, but yes, I do think there was morals before Jesus or the Bible being written. I won't go into why. But I asked you the question first and wanted an answer, straight up as to where and how you got your morals. I still expect your answer or any Athiest answer. I don't want to quarrel, I just want an answer because I haven't heard or seen a real answer from Athiests yet. I won't turn a blind eye to what you said though. I'll consider it.

  • @Lukeiru I like the way u put it. Therefore: I always had my morals. They are inherited and dictated by society (learned from parents, peers, media). You will be surprised, but it is actually in the animal instinct. Especially, group animals. They protect their own kind, carry for offspring and occasionally can scarifies themselves for various causes.

    Does it answer your question?

  • @Matismatt

Truthfully, no, that didn't really answer my question. That only really answered for "your" morals. What I'm looking for is how it came into existence. Why is it here? Why do we think this way? Why do we think one thing is good while another is bad? Why does it really matter since apparantly, it is subjected to change? The morality of humanity is what I'm talking about. I guess what I'm trying to get at is the origin of morals and why it matters. We know morals are there, but why?

  • @Lukeiru Once again, u r asking all the right questions. But in order to except the answers, u have to get rid of a religious habit of misplacing logical explanations with familiar & ignorant references to bible or God. I know, it is hard to except, but homo sapience is just another animal. It gives birth, defecates, urinates, eats, gets scared, has sex, gets exited, gets greedy, gets sick and dies. Origin of "human" morals r based on protecting their own species.Doesn't sound quite magical, eh?

  • @Lukeiru I cannot change your mind or make you except my answers. Contrary to believe, truth is not born in the argument. But if you ever come to realization of how thinks really work in the life, in order to understand human morals I can suggest you to study and visualize a pack of wolves and/or human beings in the "cave" stage without all of technology around us. Good luck!

  • Man, that caricature was kinda funny. Of course, those who try to find fault with the Bible ignorantly do not understand that what is descriptive in the Bible is not equal to what is prescriptive. The story is fine as it is and I have no problem with it.

  • ok, forget social-cultural ways. what about:

    - Exodus 35:2 - God demands that we kill everyone who works on the Sabbath day.

    - Deuteronomy 21:18-21- God demands that we kill disobedient teenagers.

-Leviticus 20-13- God demands the death of Homosexuals.

-Deuteronomy 22:13-21-God demands that we kill girls who are not virgins when they marry.

show me where is says in the Bible (God's word) where it says that if you live in a different time then you may omit my holy instructions...ya can't

  • Nobody knows all about the social-cultural ways of that time. Their customes are not alike ours today. Anyway they didn't rape his daughters because it was not to be meant. He saw in Lot what he had done to protect the men so that he did not allow the angry mob to do nothing to the girls. Innocent children that were being raised by corrupted parents who would eventually grow up like them and spread everywhere their polluted corruptness. And Lot was not like the other people, he stayed true.

  • yes,yes...justifying murder is fun...you sick fuck....

  • Arguing with this people is a waste of energy. It's like trying to tell a rock to turn into a bunny.

  • @FirelionGuate Amen

  • @FirelionGuate

Which apparently god can do X'D

  • Arguing with this people is a waste of energy. It's like trying to tell a rock to turn into a bunny.

  • And I thought the quran was bad...

  • so apparently god likes to watch people get raped. i bet hes in heaven going "oh yeah!, you scream you little hooker!" "oh right on your face!" hes probably eating popcorn while watching. i hope he fucking chokes.

  • clay people complaining to the potter. The potter has a right to do whatever he wants with his clay. PS. God never told Lot to give his daughters up; he made that decision on his own.

  • Try explaining that when you are rightfully hauled up in front of a court on charges of child cruelty.

Just because you created a life, doesn't give you the right to abuse it as you see fit.

  • Humans don't create life. God makes the decision on whether a soul should enter into the womb or not. I didn't agree with Lot's decision either; however the bible version of the story was taken from the lost books which tell a longer more detailed story. Lot was only saved because of Abraham's prayer; he was never portrayed as a good intelligent man. Obviously not the best father; but that is not god's fault, Lot made the decision to turn over his daughters on his own.

  • God's the worst father - deliberately creating his son for the sole (or soul) purpose of having him cruelly executed.

    Why?

So he could appease himself for the "sins" of his own creation - most of which were nothing compared to his own Old Testament crimes.

That's a REAL mental case right there.

As for Lot - Mr Omniscient should have known that he was a bad sort BEFORE choosing to, as you say, enter him into the womb.

  • @jazzx251 Your point is well taken and their are many people that agree with you. The whole theme of the bible is that we all were one big happy family millions of years ago until someone in the family went rogue(Lucifer) and in doing so he caused a division within the family. After getting kicked out of the 7th heaven Lucifer proceeded to create a base in the lower heavens so he can conquer the earth, which he is trying to do now(NWO). We were all spirit beings at the time of the crisis.

  • cont. spirits like you accused god of being unfair and the other side defended God's decision to kick out lucifer and his followers. In order to settle the matter God put all of his creation on trial(placed all of his spiritual children in human Neanderthal bodies). Now we can choose our own way of life and make our own decisions and therefore we can't blame him anymore for our problems. In that way it will prove once and for all that man can't rule himself righteously; only God can.

  • cont. the proof that man can't rule itself peacefully is all around us(war, murder, rape etc.) God is light and sin is dark so if he showed up we would all be destroyed just by his presence; he wouldn't have to lift a finger. Turn on a light bulb and the darkness in any room will scatter. Jesus became our sacrifice to make us light beings again so we would have access to the tree of life. The whole universe is watching so if our God(YHWH) screws it up other life forms on other planets may rebel.

  • So sick that you feel you must defend this rapist approving god. after all, after Lot offered his virgin daughters, the angels still gave Lot safe passage. Which meant they approved. Rape for god! lmfao at you fucking christians.

  • Lot's daughters were never raped because the tradition of the men in that town were to rape and torture any man that came into their town. It was a strategic move to keep the surrounding communities afraid of them and afraid to make war with them and that strategy worked on everyone except the creator; who was horrified at how they treated foreigners. God was going to kill Lot also if Abraham didn't pray for him. PS. Homos don't rape women; that's the reason Lot's daughters were still virgins

  • At least you have a fitting name for your viewpoint. For that is exactly the state one must be in to buy this book of bullshit.

  • lol

  • Does that really make sense.

  • are you seriously defending rape.......what the hell is wrong with christians? you will do anything to say that god is good.....

  • @thementalpatient2005

Not a Christian, eh? Your postings and youtube channel reek of the typical mindless drivel.

  • @thementalpatient2005

If you treat it as a way to get into heaven, then it's not a history book.
