whenever someone is remanded in lock up, he or she will be told to pass all the money and jewelery and other belongings to the officer who is in charge at the time. usually, when the person is released, he or she will be leaving the station empty handed except for their clothes. rest of their items will be 'kept' by the officers. this is the norm.
this has been happening for so long. pdrm arrest then refer to immigration n takes one whole week to verify the validity of the passport. screw them while the poor fellas languish in the lock up. When they are release some of them miss their flight and gotta go thru hassles of rearranging flight. some even have expired visa coz they r in lock up then gotta revalidate the visa. if pdrm cant trust the immigration of the validity of visa that they issue then something must be amiss.
