Incidentally, not only is Aly a great fiddle player, he is also a real gentleman. A couple of years ago I sent an email to Aly's agent asking what kind of strings Aly used. To my surprise, Aly emailed me with the answer. To my eternal shame I accidentally deleted the email and can't remember what strings he uses :(
