what do you detach de lcd from cover for? I can not see what for , since then you re atach again ?

Watched all three videos and still have the 2 long usb harnesses and my USB ports don't work. I'm assuming they attach on the other two nodes of the usb controller, but where on the mainboard?

I followed the installation and the Hub/Controller will be installed but the panel itself is not working,
i cannot see how the smal cable comming from the pannel is connected to the cable comming from the hub. Do you have any detailed picture of the connection between these two parts?

Great tutorial! Two questions, did you encounter any thermal paste when taking off the heat shield and to remove the motherboard do you have to remove the LCD?

yes, you'll need to detache the LCD to get under the mother board.

This does not work......even youtube disabled the video audio track..... so this is a notebook destroyer.
1000HE cannot support any finger touch other than the touch pad and a USB Fingerprint ..... Unless you had a custom made touch screen enable for EEE PC ... which is impossible because the touch screen for eee pc isnt out yet.. unless you stole the touch screen eee pc in CES 2009
