I personally don't believe he needs to make an appearance at WWDC, I really enjoyed Phil's keynote, but I really do miss Steve Jobs making the announcement. They definitely need him for strategic decisions though. Let the man get better though, he's not well, and the media haven't been helping that much..

Steve Jobs was forced out of Apple by Wozniak. And the Apple I and II were based on Jobs' ideas. Without Steve Jobs in Apple, we would have no iPods, iTunes, MacBooks, or any of the other things that we all love from Apple...

I don't necessarily believe that Steve Jobs is drastically needed at WWDC. I believe that it would be great, if at all possible, to have Steve there, but it is the guy's health after all. Steve Jobs is the kind of guy that gets you motivated in a....different way. He is a big face of Apple and their products, and many people enjoy seeing him give speeches, but I don't believe that it is ABSOLUTELY necessary to have him at WWDC.

Personally, I would love to see Jobs at the keynote, but I don't think he'll show up... Wouldn't it be great, if he were the "one more thing"? :D

I believe, that Steve Jobs is the mastermind, creator AND saviour of Apple, but he offcourse he wont be around forever. Eventually, someones got to take over, and I do not have the slightest fear, that they wont carry on making amazing products be after Steve.

I don't think Steve's Jobs is too important to WWDC, but Steve Jobs ads charisma that other people just can't add to there presentations. Like the way he announces things, or his gestures. But who ever presents it I will still watch WWDC. We have to get used to the idea that Steve Jobs isn't always going to be around, he isn't emortal. He will die sometime but im sure Apple will carry on making great products. As long as they don't employ someone like Steve the whale balmer every thing is dandyB
