I found the part where he didn't want to offend gay people as the most fascinating thing about this whole interview. He's a really difficult character to analyze as only minutes before he's talking about crossbowing a stranger by way of an experiment, yet he is very careful and keen not to be offensive. I was weirdly pleased when I found out he spent his final years with his family, especially after seeing him well up over them.
@mikewozere The thing people don't seem to understand is he viewed this as a legitimate job, something that had to be done. So offending homosexuals, to him, would be the bigger deal. Crossbowing someone he didn't even know aaaaaaa not so much.
I'd move heaven, hell & anything in between to get you, you wouldnt be safe anywhere If I was mad at you & that's not bold, that's the truth, you can pull a gun on me and If I'm mad at you I'm coming forward, you'd have to shot me to stop me & if you don't kill me your stupid, next time you see me I will kill you- Richard Kuklinski
@ALLIED7621 First of all, your comment barely makes any sense. Learn how to properly form a cohesive sentence. Second, this guy is clearly not a sociopath. Help yourself and read a fucking book already.
For fuck sake, when are feeble-minded imbeciles like you going to finally die off?
@ALLIED7621 ohhhh and btw Socipath-a person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. sounds like him to me
@ALLIED7621 Umm... what!? On top of your comment itself not making any sense in the first place your conclusions are non sequitur.
If you're not going to learn how to type English in a coherent manner, shut the fuck up already. If anybody could understand what the fuck you were saying they wouldn't give a flying fuck anyway.
@sk8tafrnk yea he was, he had antisocial personality disorder, which is what makes a sociopath, when someone shows no remorse or empathy to humans, especially in killing, when appears outwardly normal = sociopath = Richard
Antisocial personality is an actual disorder listed in the DSM. I always think of sociopathy as an actual disorder. I think technically sociopathy is considered a subset of antisocial personality disorder.
in the phillip carlo book, kuklinski says he killed mr softie because of a few things, first softie asked kuklinski to murder his own wife and kids, and kuklinski wouldnt have that shit, and also he claims softie wanted to put some poison in some community well in order to kill some people, but doing that would end up killing many people, including women and children..
35:05.Some might disagree but joe kuklinski's ONE rape & murder of a 12 year old girl is worse than ANYTHING ICEMAN did.Harming a child for anything other than the rare exceptions like a soldier having to kill a child in war.For example,a child who is trying to bomb a barraks or shooting at you who is a child of radical islam,& or taliban. Why is joe kuklinski still alive? This is liberalism.Child rapist & murder rights, but kill helpless unborn children behind the bullshit womens right to choose.
@jays2474 screw child molesters that rape and kill babies and little kids, those motherfuckers should be shot on the spot, no trial or anything, i cant stand that shit.
HIs story of the hit he did as a "full blown gay person."is funny as hell I dont care who ya are.Im not talking about the act of murder, but picturing Kuklinski dancing across the dance floor in a dress & a pair of fuck me pumps on is priceless.
@btbrotherton u r insane if u think this guy only killed 20ppl the Green River killer killed over85 ppl& he looks and acts like Dork Kulinscki looks intimidating I'm sure he killed close to 200 he has nothing to loose!
Can't imagine being in the same room or riding around in the ice cream truck with both Kuklinski and "Mr. Softee" ... Send these guys off to Iraq or Afghanistan, hell where are they when you need them?
"I just popped the guy in the forehead. He was just looking at me asking for directions. I didn't know the man. I just wanted to see if it worked. It sure did." GREAT LINE!
Always watch and think before you run your mouth to a stranger because you never know. That stranger just may be another Iceman. I feel it is no worth it.
"I lit his fire. haha This was a real personal thing with me. I disliked him because he made me mad." What a killing machine he was. This does mean I condone or celebrate him, I'm just being objective.
His facial expression when he talks about killing loud mouth people had me cracking up laughing. Why would anyone in their right mind run their mouth at him? Remember, it was all the excuse he needed. CLASSIC as well.
"It gave me a real personal feeling when someone dies in front of me. Especially loud mouth people. Loud mouth people remind me of my father. Once a loud mouth person starts with me, I love it." Another Classic. LMAO
This is what can happen as a result to being beaten, abused, and shown no love what so ever.
At least he cherished his family, and I really believe he was sad for hurting the ones who loved him the most. In the end, it is a very sad story. Some may seem I am wrong but I hope his family were able to forgive him before he died, but I would probably feel very different if I was related and or loved any of his victims.
@JuliusGulius I've researched and read numerous books about the Mob, and Demeo Crew specifically, and Kuklinski's name is never associated with them. Real accounts from people inside the Demeo crew. Read "Murder Machine" by Capeci and let me know how many times the "Iceman's" name is mentioned. Sure, this guy may have killed a few people, but he wasn't this feared hitman that killed 100+ people like he likes to think.
@sanchize06 He was never a part of his crew. He just killed a few people for him. But he did kill a hell of a lot of people over 30 odd years. Would you mess with him?
Kuklinski comes off as highly intelligent, with a wide vocabulary something you certainly wouldn't expect from a guy hanging around Mafia thugs on a daily basis. The man has zero conscious yet cares so deeply for his family. Its eerily ironic.
@davecata That's because at that time his family was the only real love he had. All the people he did job's with or hung around with those kind of guys aint really your friend they don't give two shit's about you. I remeber he said he killed all his friends except one and that's what led to him gettin busted So his family was like really the only people he probably felt close too and loved and had an emontional bond with.
At first I thought he was a complicated guy, hard to understand how his brain worked but after seeing the the 2 videos, Now I thinks his mind its not complicated at all is actually very simple to understand. One thing is very impressing is how calm he is he admited he panicked ones at least but got his cool back in seconds.
I wounder if the undercover agent's blood frozen into ice when Kukliski said "Well there's always a way. Where there's a will there's a way MY FRIEND" :|
@CivilianIntelligence That comment left me nonplussed as well. Was he trying to play the PC card, and in prison? If so, why? Yeah, didn't get it. I remember reading that he once beat to death a homosexual pedophile that he caught raping a young 10 yo boy in a car lot. So he clearly has a moral code. If he had walked in on Sandusky in that locker room at Penn State, needless to say the punishment would have been swift and severe.
I would guess that about 75% of his "confessions" are fabricated or highly embellished. Of course, he did kill many people, but the nature of his work and the nature of his psychology are conducive to fabrication. Moreover, the author of his biography and the producers of this documentary also had a lot to gain by embellishing his stories. I'm sure he is a sociopathic killer who endured a horrendous childhood, but let's not make him more than he really is.
@fishman017 i think you may be right on the documentary twisting and enhancing teh facts...
5:29 the newspaper report states the man died in a 1965 oldsmobile sedan... but the narrator said he was killed because he insulted "the 18 year old Kuklinski" at 4:10...
Kuklinski was born 1935 and was 18 in 1953 if im correct... so how did he manage to kill a man in a 1965 sedan 12 years before teh car was made o_O..
I love how his wife is tryin to play little miss innoccent...like she didnt know this guy wasnt doing this bullshit...she fuckin knew he was a piece of shit
I mean, clearly he noticed the media attention around him and wanted to capitalize on it. As he always says his family is very important to him and I'm sure he wanted to make money for them, so he greatly over exaggerated his exploits. I still believe a good amount of what he says is true. You can sort of tell what's true and what's not.
@XxDopethronexX I agree with you to some extent. Clearly there are a lot of things not lining up in his stories. He is old though he could just forget a lot, leading to the things lining up. However on top of that I'm 100% positive the number he has killed is grossly over exaggerated. I believe he probably killed someone in a club because he tells that story multiple times, however he constantly changes the method. I duno, I bet he probably actually killed around 20 people.
I mean u think of killers like Bundy,Ramirez,schauffer..but this guys killed over 100 more people then any of them in a far more horrific manner, read his book u wont believe what hes actually done, skinned people alive, fed them to rats alive, burned peoples cocks of with flares, the list continues he has to be the biggest killer single handedly in american history,a total phycopath who could act out the most horrific evil torture u could ever dream.what those ppl went thru is beyond a nightmare
Richard K was not a bad man, sure his occupation was not your everday legal pursuit.During the many interviews done it can be seen that he is not what you would class as "Evil",evil killers are always a few screws loose, manson would be a good example.
@silver760 Manson never killed anyone, he ordered ppl killed... It's so insane that the vast majority of ppl don't know that HE WAS not a killer, he was a psycho who thought he could rule the world; he wanted power anddd that's really it. If ANYTHING Manson was LIKE this guy, killing for an explicit reason, not out of evil, but out of some reason involving his plan to become some sort of psycho ruler
yeah dude, it seems like this one potrays him as an insane killer (like when he tested out the cross bow) and the other older one makes it look like he really cares only about his family and he doesn't think about the killings because he just wants to support his loved ones, he even cries in the older one.
@modshroom and if u read the book the first guy he killed is charlie lane, the gang leader who used 2 pick on him... but it cud be explained by his tight lipped attitude at that time in 1991. but we'll never know
so i guess the dude just likes to lie... a lot... seems like the story of the first guy he killed is getting more and more outragously badass... so yeah he is definitely lying.
oh well, at least we know the crossbow thing is complete bullshit.
@modshroom Yeah i guess... but i recommand 2 read his book... i just finished it... even if its fiction its a hell of a story... if you watch all 3 of his documentary u'll find more things that don't fit... just 2 many 2 list up in this commment lol
he wasn't a Psycopath he knew what he was doing, he wasn't getting pleasure from it. he just didn't give a fuck he was a hitman it was his job so his family could live well. He also wasn't a sociopath because he cared deeply about his family, watch the 1of2 documentary.
You can't label anyone you don't understand as a psycopath and call it a day.
Think, the guys who have to pick up elephant poop at the zoo? they aren't sociopaths they just do things they don't like for cash.
When I read the book, he said that he burned some guy's dick and balls off with a road flare because the guy was trying to steal a truckload of goods that the ice man had stashed at his farm.
Best part at 14:49 ... "He gave me a story...a bull story. So I left there. I was ah..a little bit upset. Got on da' bus went home. I was ah.. puttin' toys together for the kids. And this thing was reaalllly buggin' me. It was annoyin' me...which's makin' my whole disposition bad. So it just occurred to me 'This is bullshit'"....... CLASSIC
For all the fucked up things Kuklinski did in his life, I have to say that hit where he dressed up like a stereo-typical gay guy to get close enough to the target to stick him with a hypodermic needle full of poison was genius.
I'd love it if, the new Hitman game allows the player to pull off hits like this.
I killed a man with a trident... Yea I saw that, you should probably find a safe house or a relative close by... because you're probably wanted for murder
what an abomination of the human species...but thats the human species for you, one collectively big abomination...most the time ppl do 'good' things its only because it gives them social credentials, a herd instinct.
The facts of Big Rich dont tie up with mafia hits as much as he confesses look to his book and confessions from mafia informants, im not sayin he isnt wat he says he is, but just a little exsaguration on his part..please look to the facts for yourself

i think this is fake for a couple of reasons:
1) last video he said he killed the guy at the bar by beating him with a cue stick, this video he says he lit him on fire.
2)last video he said that one guy on christmas, then went back to play with his kids, this video he said he killed him after the kids went to bed.

I duno, I bet he probably actually killed around 20 people.
btbrotherton 3 months ago
Lol, the cars in the background in the "crime scene videos" are always newer than the dates of the murders.

Richard K was not a bad man, sure his occupation was not your everday legal pursuit.During the many interviews done it can be seen that he is not what you would class as "Evil",evil killers are always a few screws loose, manson would be a good example.
silver760 5 months ago
@silver760 Manson never killed anyone, he ordered ppl killed... It's so insane that the vast majority of ppl don't know that HE WAS not a killer, he was a psycho who thought he could rule the world; he wanted power anddd that's really it. If ANYTHING Manson was LIKE this guy, killing for an explicit reason, not out of evil, but out of some reason involving his plan to become some sort of psycho ruler

okay i watched the older documentary... he said the guy he killed when he was 18 was with a pool que.
and now he is saying he threw a moltov cocktail at the guy?
that's weird...
modshroom 5 months ago
@modshroom I had seen this on cable once and when I watched the 1st documentary it didnt make any sense to me.. oh well. guess we'll never know :/
Meticulous1010 5 months ago
@Meticulous1010
yeah dude, it seems like this one potrays him as an insane killer (like when he tested out the cross bow) and the other older one makes it look like he really cares only about his family and he doesn't think about the killings because he just wants to support his loved ones, he even cries in the older one.
fucking hbo :/
modshroom 5 months ago
@modshroom and if u read the book the first guy he killed is charlie lane, the gang leader who used 2 pick on him... but it cud be explained by his tight lipped attitude at that time in 1991. but we'll never know
Hitman045PS3 5 months ago
@Hitman045PS3
so i guess the dude just likes to lie... a lot... seems like the story of the first guy he killed is getting more and more outragously badass... so yeah he is definitely lying.
oh well, at least we know the crossbow thing is complete bullshit.
modshroom 5 months ago
@modshroom Yeah i guess... but i recommand 2 read his book... i just finished it... even if its fiction its a hell of a story... if you watch all 3 of his documentary u'll find more things that don't fit... just 2 many 2 list up in this commment lol
Hitman045PS3 5 months ago
@modshroom how would you know? He is a sociopath and psychopath its highly plausible
RyuRodrigues20 4 months ago
@RyuRodrigues20
he wasn't a Psycopath he knew what he was doing, he wasn't getting pleasure from it. he just didn't give a fuck he was a hitman it was his job so his family could live well. He also wasn't a sociopath because he cared deeply about his family, watch the 1of2 documentary.
You can't label anyone you don't understand as a psycopath and call it a day.
Think, the guys who have to pick up elephant poop at the zoo? they aren't sociopaths they just do things they don't like for cash.
modshroom 4 months ago
@modshroom and in the book it was one of the guys from the gang that bullied him when he was younger.

TAMR213 6 months ago
For all the fucked up things Kuklinski did in his life, I have to say that hit where he dressed up like a stereo-typical gay guy to get close enough to the target to stick him with a hypodermic needle full of poison was genius.
I'd love it if, the new Hitman game allows the player to pull off hits like this.
