The sad thing is that the future of Northern Ireland doesn't depend on the folk of NI, never has and maybe never will. The UK and Ireland are both EU member states, and within 5 years the UK will cease to exist after the Scottish independence referendum. That won't change unionists' attitudes towards Irish reunification, and it won't change Irish attitudes towards England, but the thugs, bigots and gobshites will have to think of another excuse for fighting instead of thinking of the future.
