  • I SEE ROSEEEE <3

  • "Is that a leather bikini?" No, Leela's middle was covered. Unless Amy was reffering to a different photo.

  • bye the way the doctor had 37 girls as companions, and 18 boys(note counted k-9 as one person for both area's.) but most surprising of all is that i actually took the time to research this.

  • is it weird that the tardis looks easier to fly than a plane?

  • "Thanks, Thanks Dear. Miss out on the Metal Dog why don't you?"

The TARDIS is his true wife

  • "is that a leather bikini?" ha! did you see his grin?

  • To me its interesting how Steven Moffat explores these concepts

  • "Not mates, forget mates"

Totally a reference to Donna there

  • And here we have it: the Doctor should have more male companions. 8D

  • The Doctor has more willpower than I ever imagined possible ...

  • he's such a pussy, bang her already or I will!

  • "Get your coat love- the Doctor is in!"

  • Hurray for continuity... That was cut from the story :(

  • 1:22 .

  • how can you resist Amy Pond best looking companion since Peri.?

  • You get some insight into him with this scene.

  • he didnt even mention one was his grandaughter

  • Exllcnet was that a refence to Peri when Amy mented the bikini

  • Well, we know where River gets it from now...

  • Watching this now, I thought about how the Doctor told Craig that his companions were like his "babies." I think when the Doctor looks at companions who can "see it" he feels the way we feel when we look at babies being amazed at completely mundane things.

  • Maybe it's just me, but the whole conversation gets a bit awkward around the "Hot?" comment when you remember one of the previous companions was the Doc's grand-daughter... O-o

  • You laughed!

No...that was just an involuntary snort of.....fondness.

  • One of the many reasons I prefere Amy to Rose. When Rose met Sarah Jane she was all like "What, I'm not the first to travel with you?! omg, I thought I was special!", whilst with Amy there's this. (Now, just to make it clear, I don't hate Rose, I just prefer Amy. And this is just my oppinion.)

  • @JossWhedonEqualsGod Differences.

    1. Rose was younger. Not by much, but she was...nineteen? Eighteen? When she first met the doctor. And by the end of it, she was well and truly in love with him.

    2. /Rose wasn't engaged./ Amy may be utterly infatuated with this tall, mysterious, handsome time-traveler, but that's all it is- infatuation. Let's face it; the Doctor is someone who has charisma out the ying-yang and he's not too damn bad looking to boot. But in the end, she's /in love/ with -

  • @JossWhedonEqualsGod Rory, and in the end, always has been and will be. Which is why she doesn't seem to care as much as Rose did. She's looking for a shag. Rose was falling in love. Possibly, if Rory had been out of the picture, it would have been different. And Amy does love the Doctor, every bit as much as she loves Rory, but in a totally different way.

  • 3:16 reminded me of the 10th the way he says "no"

  • Space Gandolf, epic

  • Trollop.

  • I especially liked a comment on the scene where Amy remembers the Doctor back into existence that went something like this:

Amy: "I remember you raggedy man, and you're late for my wedding!"

A Time Lord is never late... nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.

    -Space Gandalf.

  • Oh man, that was just ... PRECIOUS. I can't think of any other word for it!

  • SPACE GANDALF.

  • Comment removed

  • The Doctor= Gandalf. Awesome.

  • Who wrote this one? Cos they've NAILED it. :D

  • @BrainComm487 Pretty sure Moffat did it.

  • involuntry snort of fondness

  • Haha, that was awesome!

  • i dont like how smithh trivialised his relationships with the previous companions -_-

  • @darthkarr Keep in mind, these are people he cared about very deeply, and had to leave behind. The knowledge that he would go on while they would die in a normal human lifetime is probably enough to make him Not Think About It very hard, and some people deal with grief by making jokes about it. It's really rather heartbreaking, when you think about it.

  • i like yoda! i see the reseblince now. the doctors better though.

and its more like 99% to 1% girls to boys.

  • Comment removed

  • the doctor should have told her about Rose, cause when she finds out on her own he will never hear the end of it

  • "Space Gandalf" I can just picture the commercials.

  • OOO GANDALF!

  • legs, the nose, and mrs robinson :D

  • The Doctor compared himself to Gandalf and Yoda. How....extremely fitting. Ish.

  • Why would they delete this! Brilliant!

  • The Legs.

  • I love him making fun of Rory's nose.

  • Doctor! About 99% percent of your companions are women! Don't deny it!...YOU...ARE...A...BLOKE!!!!

  • @DarkComet360 Actually, it's more like about a 40-60 split. But anyway.

  • Hahaha, go Amy go!!

  • "Ooh, GANDALF!" ;)

  • The Doctor is most definitely a space Gandalf with a little green lightsaber/sonic! I've always wondered what he and Yoda would think of each other...

  • I like how he enjoys the flirting for a second and then starts freaking out. XDDD

  • @iwant2believe1

They didn't delete it. It was specially filmed for the DVD well after Series 5 finished.

  • I love how the Tardis is on Amy's side. There have been a few guys, but the Tardis conveniently leaves them out. :D

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock 'thanks. Thanks, dear.' -_- lol!

  • @beautifulpassion I know! The Doctor and his Tardis are so adorable. Especially after The Doctor's Wife. :)

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock I know, that episode just throws it all into an even more brilliant light. :P I admit to getting a bit teary at the end of that one.

  • @beautifulpassion It's probably my favorite episode. Did you notice that after that episode, he starts talking to her and calling her she even more? Like in the Rebel Flesh, "What are you doing down there?" and later, "She does like to make an entrance!" Soooo cute!

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock I'm of the opinion that she retains something of a higher 'awareness' after that episode- to me, that's what the lever flipping itself suggested. She still can't talk, but she's even more sentient then she was. So to me, that makes sense, because I /also/ believe that the Doctor and his TARDIS kind of are connected to each other. (Like in the Christmas episode, when she wasn't translating when he was unconscious, and that mini-episode right before it when she convulsed every

  • @beautifulpassion Sorry, I didn't see your longer comment til now. I never thought about that, but I guess she does seem more self aware now, and that's really cool. And if you watch the classic series, they even say that a Timelord and his Tardis have a symbiotic relationship, and that they are telepathically linked. So yes, definitely connected!

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock No worries. ^^ And yay, I was right! LOL, not that it wasn't pretty clear. :P I've never seen the first series- I'm a Nu Who girl- but that's cool to have confirmation.

  • @beautifulpassion I'd definitely recommend the classic show. It's a little different to the new show, but to me it has the same spirit. The Doctor back then was still a mad man with a box, who loves his companions and fights for the things he believes in. Matt actually takes a lot of his inspiration from the second Doctor, Patrick Troughton, so you'd probably like him. I know he's one of my favorites. :)

And my goodness, you're right. Matt *IS* Peter Pan!!!

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock I might give in and do that one day, then. I was honestly timid about watching Nu Who- it took a friend a very long time to convince me- so perhaps I should put aside my hesitations and give it a try.

Isn't he though?! He even stops 'Wendy' from growing up. ~_^

(And then horrible things happen that break them all, but we aren't going there. >.>)

  • @beautifulpassion Classic Who is definitely worth a try. :)

Oh, my goodness, Wendy! "I grew up." "Don't worry. I'll soon fix that." XD

If only I knew how to make videos, I would totally do one to the Peter Pan soundtrack. "Flying" or "I Do Believe in Fairies" would do nicely...

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock Best. Line. Ever.

Oooh...I might do that. I've started making videos recently, but I'm still a bit rough. :P

  • @beautifulpassion Ooh, let me know when you do that. Can we be friends? :D

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock If I actually make good on it, I will, haha! And sure, I'd like that. ^__^

  • @beautifulpassion Yay! :D

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock time he did. I do /love/ his gleeful 'She does like to make an entrance!' He sounds like a squeeing little boy. ^-^

  • @beautifulpassion He's talked to her and called her "old girl" from way back, but it's like she means even more to him now...*Sigh* This show is so...so...you know. :D

P.S. I also love Eleven's little boy moments. He has so many! Like his face in A Christmas Carol, when he's trying to do the card trick and says, "Oi, stop it, you're doing it wrong." So 9 years old!

  • @EmmaJaneMurdock It is. ^-^ He defiantly takes a more affectionate tone/attitude towards her after that moment, which is saying something considering. And yea. Yeah...I know. *melty.*

OMG, me too- he's so Peter Pan. :P Nine was fucking sexy, all Dark and Brooding. Ten was an adorkable sweetheart you couldn't help but want to cuddle. (Uh, not counting the whole 'time lord victorious' melt down.) And Eleven is just a kid in a man's body in so many ways. It's precious. >.>

  • Gandalf + Yoda + Pimp = Doctor.

  • @rlkitterman he is NOT gandalf or yoda (well, maby a bit of yoda), but he is definatly a pimp.

  • It shows Rose twice :)

  • it seems a little bit sexist by not showing the male companions or K9

  • @LyokoisGreat2

Are you not getting that TARDIS is joining in on making fun of the Doctor? And Amy is not making fun of him for having tons of companions, but because most of his companions seem to be young, attractive females.

It's not sexist, because it's made clear that Amy isn't interested in how many male companions the Doctor has had, because she's trying to prove that he's a "typical bloke", who walks into a room and "laughs at all the men and shows off to all the girls".

  • "But not mates. Forget mates." Anyone else think this is a reference to Donna's confusion over the word?

  • @BatmanAoD Definitely, "You just want TO MATE?"

  • She was begging him to do her and when he said something about her fiance she got mad? Then went back to begging him to do her. I will never understand what goes on in the mind of a woman, it certainly is not logical.

  • @thatguywiththeegg Come now, you're a young woman whisked away on a wonderous adventure by a good looking man, what's girl to think?

  • Space Gandalf, with a little green sword. That's the best description of the Doctor ever.

  • @jakobitis89 haha it wasn't 'with a little green sword' it was 'or the little green guy in star wars' :D

    MUTHF***ING YODA!!!! :D

  • Love ever bit of this! :D Pitty it wasn't in an actaully ep, aw well.

  • Miss out the metal dog why don't you.

  • Why the hell did they delete this scene? It's fantastic in so many ways.

  • Amy rules. Nuff said.
