  • this was never intended as an advert

it was one of a series of films which were madd available online. these films were short.and directed by renowned.people

  • Guy Ritchie must be laughing at his own...prophetic revenge lol

  • awesome

  • lol i fink itz a good video needed it for ma scool work and she totally deserved it:D

  • lol i fink itz a good video needed it for ma scool work :D

  • lol tis iz good she deserves it inni

  • technically it is an advert, they use advertisement and entertainment, this is what we call in the media world advertainment, clever eh?

  • looooool il never sell my bmw HELLL NOOOO!!!! :D

  • Best AD EVEEERRR !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ha Ha Ha i wish that happened to her in real life. Well the Peeing her pants part! LOL!!!

  • i reckon clive owen would have made a well decent bond

  • He would have bored the arse off everyone, just like daniel craig is doing right now.

  • @knlmc

    a bit too american though.

  • Oh... the car being a 540i. If you don't believe me, or the DVD extra. Check out the video at 6:04. If you pause the car just before it leaves shot you'll notice it only has one exhaust pipe, to the right of the drive shaft in the picture.

M5's have TWO exhaust, 540i merely have the one.

  • You are wrong Mate. if you look closer, you can see the end of the tailpipes, two on each side.

  • No, there are two TAILPIPES. But if you look again, you'll notice the SINGLE exhaust pipe leading to one side. in other words, one is a dummy.

I'm not acting the 'expert' here; it's stated on the 'Making of" on the BMW Promo DVD itself.

Obviously, it's not even one car. It's a number of them; and the one that made the jump, died on impact.

  • It should come as no surprise the Clive Owen isn't actually driving the car. But the way they achieved the look is actually painfully obvious.

The car is in fact right hand drive and a stuntman is sat next to Clive. Clive's steering wheel is a dummy. You'll notice all the shots with Clive driving and the background focuses only on the left hand side of the car.

Simple when you.... watch the 'making of' DVD extra :-)

  • fun but dissapointing. some of the slides were technicially wrong, sliding to the right should be turning the wheel to the left. but whatever! lol

  • That didn't happen.. Just so you know.. I suggest using your eyes to watch next time... CHEERS MATE!

  • lol Madonna actually ownes Maybach 62 which is Mercedes )))

  • Is it just me, or does this M5 appeal so much more than the current model? I know the new one has 100 more hp and a v10 engine, but to me, this along with the old M3 were the last true M-Bmws to be made before they got all Bangle on us and destroyed their pure driver image with all this shit, I'm not surprised I've seen so many new 5-series driven by women. Not sexist, but the 5-series appealed as a man's car to me, the current gen models got the formula wrong. Audi & Merc do it better now.

  • wow, well said. I've felt the same way but not been able to articulate it. The curves weren't as smooth as they are now. The older ones feel more masculine.

  • Just to ad further insult. That's not a M5. According to the voice over on the original DVD (yes, BMW did release this as a DVD) the car is in fact a 540i dressed up. Why? Well, it didn't have to go that fast and it saved RATHER a lot of car given the likelihood of accident.

Actually, it's TWO 540i, because after the "eyes wide open" jump - when the car landed it died. Never to start again. In other words, Guy Richie killed the car! :-)

  • lol why use a 540 if they're going to dress it up....if they don't need to go fast, might as well have used anything but the 520i...not like we could tell anyway. and if you're going to get guy ritchie and madonna as well as clive owen...what is 50 grand worth of Beemer to BMW?! ludicrous...I love this car though. New BMWs have lost what they used to be...

  • Hey... don't ask ME. That's what Guy Richie said on the directors commentary. I think they were looking for relatively similar performance... but the 540i is quite a lot cheaper than an M5 and apart from the fake exhaust, they are very similar in appearance.

  • Love the car, that fat GMC had no chance. Love the song, Blur 'song 2', and loved clive owen. Good advert.

  • the best bit is when he puts in on full lock then drifts round no handed! pure skill

  • This Video is AMAZING. :)

    x

  • I used to own that actual car....fuck me how i miss it!!

  • I was offer the ACTUAL car from the advert!

  • of course you were. Go back and drive your chavved up corsa.

  • lol now that we found out it was actually a 540i...his comment looks even more unlikely lol

  • It was brilliantly bad and cheesy in a good way. I brought an M5 and fantastic car!

  • this is soooo bad...sorry but i have never seen any car commercial (since 1970) that was so bad....

  • She is such a BAD actress!

  • shes not an actress...shes madonna!!

    guy ritchie made the advert

  • ///M power!!!!!!

  • wats the bg song btw?

  • blur - song2

  • it is an m5

  • This is not an advert, but one of a series of short films comissioned by BMW from the worlds top directors. They were made about 2-3 years ago, look for the one starring James Brown, its my favourite.

  • I have them all, i know the one you are talking of. I admit they arent adverts, they were never allowed to be aired due to there promotion of speeding. Publicity, if not advertising, close enough.

  • what model bmw is that :o?

  • I have no idea sorry, just great shooting.

  • BMW M5

  • an m5
