Besides the obvious (and real) contract dispute, I think one of the subconscious problems between the two, both on camera and off, was that they were both supposed to be leader types, or whatever you want to call their type of character. And you can't have two alpha dogs in the same pack; it just doesn't work.

I am curious as to just how well/badly they got along off camera though, and how their relationship was after Austin St. John left, and how they are now, esp. after that challenge.

From my POV I still think that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is overall the BEST series. The ranger's powers were always magic. Magic Coins, crystals, swords, etc. I still have the hots for Kimberly or the Pink "Pterodactyl" Power Ranger as most of you would remember her as. Today, their technology is created by scientists. Monsters were always aliens, but now they're demons & their zords are whack. Shows in the early 90’s were always the BEST. Nowadays, shows are just starting to get worst.
