People notice mediterranean cars like Seat Cupra/FR's and Fiat Abarth/Sportings and go "thats a nice car" No one ever notices ST's or VXR's but all the road knobs inside them believe they are standing out from the crowd when they aren't. When an ST/VXR is driven fast everyone thinks "What a twat/cock" yet when a Cupra/Abarth is driven fast nobody seems to care. We can get away with it because we don't have a known knob image.

Agreed buddy. The were soulfully designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro until Martin Smith came along & robbed his styling, added some extra detailed lines, chinky eyed head lights, then called it the 2009 Fiesta. Fiat may have a higher depreciation rate but they compensate for better CS & Stronger Diesel/Petrol engines. Tom doesn't know all that you see. I saw Parkers & the Punto Grandes are always a grand cheaper. Fiat have more 4-5-star ratings in reviews on the Grande than Ford do on Fiestas FACT!

Toms such a twat this is why people hate 5th gear. He thinks the Ford Fiesta ST is going to be better? Its only going to have another inefficient 2.0l Mondeo engine shoved under its bonnet again. Ford could barely get 150Bhp from an engine they stole from a Mazda parts bin! Fiat made a 1.4T go to 180Bhp thats engineering Ford can't do. Fiat are better than Ford when you consider whats in the Punto for the lower price! Ford build cars with a hammer & chisel then rip everyone off!

Renault were getting 182 over half a decade ago with the 2.0 Clio Cup and Fiat were getting 180bhp out of a 1.4T 4 years ago. i dont know so much anymore the fiat group has some pretty amazing technology now.

Iv got an alfa mito and its got 3 stage engine managment switch,assisted hill start,tcs,blue and me,pillarless doors,and a really advanced engine, what citroen hatchback has those sort of options,all they have got is air suspension and digital techometer displays which looks cheap and nasty. (although the ds3 might change things interior wise)

...Lord! this guy is just a fat ass inchoerent asshole: the plastic on the dash board of this grande punto r cheap & uninspiring (in his opinion) but when he drove the FIAT 500 he said the interiors looked very expensive & solid not cheap at all.

Very very sadly 4 him I inform u all that the Grande Punto & 500 interiord r made of the exact same plastic material...U can bet they r I know both cars very well.

@kylio85 The same plastic can have different things done with it and the overall effect can be totally different. I think you'd have to agree that the inside of the 500 looks far nicer than the inside of the punto. I'd still rather have the punto though :-)

Actually neither of them, as much as I like FIATs...

But Iif I had to choose, The 500 for sure...it's a loot prettier & for its dimensions, u get enough room for 4 adults. The Grande Punto is too long & not that spacious; plus I'm not really keen on the style :( (especially the front end) but gotta say it handels very nicely.
