Not at all. Considering original japanese audio would play in the bg, we couldn't tell if it was accurate, but it was surely more or less the same. I heard it was based on one of european translations though, so what the other version dropped, we missed too.
I don't remember this version though, to be honest... It would always go "Star power of XXX, act! / work!", here it goes "Star power of Venus, change me!"...

I guess it's actually the way the VO person was supposed to do it - speak very clearly without much voice pitch/height changes. this forces a very specific speech, where emotion does indeed seem discarded, while it's actually there, but in a much limited scale.

Yup, i think so, but i think that i saw another comment somewhere else that the translation is very different from the original version.
